i was a little surprised, and pleased, to see kate mulgrew coming out for kamala. for a long time, she was a hardline pro-lifer, having given up a daughter for adoption in the 1970s.

missed that that she had denounced dobbs, saying that while it wasn’t her choice, it was a choice each woman had to make for herself.

I think the majority of voters in this country feel the same way that Kate Mulgrew does about abortion.  Most aren't necessarily "pro-abortion," but they do believe that that is a choice that each individual woman has to make for herself without fear of retribution from the government.

It's only those "moral majority" types on the right who believe they have to intrude in and regulate every aspect of people's lives, including whether a woman has the right to terminate an unwanted pregnancy, because "Jesus told them to;" when, in fact, Jesus would be the first one to tell them to mind their own [!@#$%^&*] business.

I agree. Perot dominated airtime he paid for, he was ubiquitous. I remember being baffled as a child that they gave him a half hour or whatever to ramble on, I couldn't understand it (and didn't know he'd bought it). Because of that he even made it into a ton of golden age SNL political coverage at the time. (Which just reminds me that I had the SNL inaugural/election special or whatever it was from '92/'93, where they showed like 20 years of SNL political sketches, recorded on my Mom's VCR to watch over and over for years.) But I don't think any third party candidate other than maybe Nader in 2000 has come even remotely close to Perot's actual impact since. When someone starts taking over huge chunks of nationwide TV time or appearing non-stop on SNL again, then I'll get nervous.
