JR was super cute with Tad and the boys.

Loving Reese.

Gosh - a part of me really felt for Zach (and Kendall at the end) in their scenes today.

Loving suicidal David at WW - seeing Babe - and Krystal walking in.

Also really loving Rebecca and the Hubbard story.

I had no problem with Frankie telling Jesse off. Jesse let him and his mother think that he was dead for twenty years, and very shortly after he left them, went and slept with the doctor who was taking caring of him. Someone needs to let Jesse have it, Natalia's not doing it, for the most part she seems content with being left out in the cold, while her father remains with the family that he really wants to be with. IMO, Angie is acting way too nice about the situation. I love that Angie is a classy person and very understanding, but I would like to see her show some anger about this situation. She's entitled to be angry about what Jesse did. But IMO, she's acting like what Jesse did was honorable even though it wasn't.

There really isn't anything honorable about leaving his family with Angie and Frankie, to go and almost immediately sleep with a doctor from the instution that he was being treated at. It seems like Rebecca slept with him, while he was committed in the institution. Rebecca can't really say anything to Jesse about hurting both his families, because she knew exactly what she was getting into. The only one that is trying to let him have it is Frankie, and IMO, it's understandable that he would be mad at Jesse after he kept this secret from Angie and Frankie and after he flat out lied to the both of them about who Natalia was.

I love Jesse, but, I'm glad Frankie let Jesse have it, someone needed to.

As for Frankie and the way he treated Rebecca, I don't think that he was that rude, he was abrupt and could have been nicer to her, but I understand how upset he was to meet the woman who was apart of the other family that his father spent time with for over 19 years, while his father stayed away from him and Angie.

David's contemplating killing himself over Babe? Puhleaze, are we actually supposed to buy this?

=============================================

Yeah I know but we gotta remember that she was his daughter. *puke* And that he lost 2 daughters so yeah I can see it happen.

ROFL what? he is? :)

Jump on me if you want, but I think TB is a horrible actress, she's all flailing arms and bulging eyes. She was the same way on GH, reminds me a bit of Sabine.

Given Babe's treatment of David as her father, I think David is a bit dumb to paint her as some kind of great daughter. But I guess I can understand it a bit given how hard Leora's death hit him, and that he probably felt he'd never get over losing her, then found out he had another child in the world

Yeah - its a rather ridiculous comparison. It just emotes a major  from me.

Southofnowhere - I TOTALLY got that vibe about Reese/Zach. There was one line today - maybe when Bianca said Zach had a great name idea - and Reese's look totally gave away that vibe. I'm going to enjoy watching that!

I found it rather odd that Angie and Jesse showed up together at the funeral yesterday and today it was like Jesse was surprised to see Rebecca in Pine Valley and that her and Angie were getting to know each other. Wouldn't Angie mention to Jesse that Rebecca was in town?

      Yes, Nicole. DRAG HER!
    • Writers: Teresa Zimmerman Lynn Martin Director: Steven Williford
    •  Yeah, he is still dressed like Martin. He looks great, though.  Cute picture. Sober up, cause we need the tea.
    • Well, Claire did rig Rick's test results, but it was to flunk. They actually managed to get his correct results back after they were thrown into Cedar's furnace...I think? Everyone knew Claire changed them and Rick passed so that rewrite never made sense.   I agree. Pratt always seems "edgy" on screen (and her Locker Room interview prooved that it came from her personality.) I liked Claire causeing trouble and love Meta ringing her beads. Its just too bad that Abby left and they kinda just forgot Claire existed.
    • Oh so they did sleep together. The retcon was just the medical boards? That makes sense. I think Susan Pratt, while a good actress, was just an unlikeable presence onscreen and soaps wrote to that most of the time. There was some potential for more with her when she returned in that stint, as Pratt was at least interesting to watch and caused some conflict for the stifled Bauers. Instead of pairing her with Alan and then disappearing I might have had her hook up with Danny. I think there was a lot of flirtation with Bolger's Philip, but they never crossed the line.
    • I haven't seen Melchior in the role, but it would be astounding if she's worse than Linn. Her rivalry with Stephanie was sidelined IMO because Linn was one of the few actors who didn't have chemistry with, nor raise her game, when paired with Susan Flannery. To be fair, she did show some signs of life in scenes opposite Darlene Connelly, but way too little too late. It feels like Bell finally woke up after the Thorne switchover and sidelined the Kristin character with Mick to 1 or 2 appearances a week. As a result, the show improved by leaps and bounds after she was inexplicably at the center of the show for most of 1989. Margo is so much more enjoyable when not tied to that albatross. Even Clarke is watchable with less Kristin interaction. She can't exit stage left soon enough. As for the new Thorne, I agree that Norcross feels like a Forrester a lot more than Thrachta, even if the latter is a better actor.
    • The cast said that scenes were filmed over a few weeks, with a preplanned hiatus in the middle, and it was all out of order.  I would *guess* that they used Chandler when they could get him? They also had to work around Leo Howard getting married around the time these episodes were filmed, but I guess they worked it out since Tate appeared.
    • Maybe there was a scheduling conflict or something. He still has the full time 9-5 in Atlanta, right? Julie was there. Idk if Maggie’s gonna be a part of it though
    • At this point, the best nonpaywall coverage of Los Angeles (and anything political)  is in...the Tennessee Holler https://bsky.app/profile/thetnholler.bsky.social And as always, emptywheel continues to be consistent https://bsky.app/profile/emptywheel.bsky.social
    • Today Monday was the start of people arriving at the funeral, but the service hasn't started yet.  I know this is the nonspoiler thread but I think it's okay to say (in nonspecific terms) that the funeral episodes span a few days.  I won't detail it more here. Just sayin' keep watching.
