Members DRW50
I kept meaning to watch, at least until I heard how difficult the schedule was, but I did wonder when the hook would come. I'm sure there may be some wealthy people who love Knots, but in this economy, reintroducing the show to the public only through paying is just a bad idea. I don't have the money to pay and I won't be doing so. I have my memories of Knots and some clips here and there - that will be enough. And I have the first two season DVDs in a box somewhere. I know the rights are complicated, but I don't know why these shows can't start putting episodes on Youtube, even just assorted episodes, to whet the public's appetite. Members Vee
It does seem truly bizarre to pull them so soon. I do wonder if they'll be back, but I am securing them for myself in the meantime nonetheless.
Members adrnyc
I've never watched FC or KL - am currently in the middle of FC Season 6 and KL Season 7. But I'm one of those people who, for soaps, would just open up my wallet and say "Take my money!" Now, if I were re-watching, that would be different. But I'd definitely pay to finish them. (Although I'd prefer the option to buy them through Apple or Fandango at Home.)
Members Chris B Posted yesterday at 03:37 AM Members Share Posted yesterday at 03:37 AM I've noticed the show listed as one of Amazon's most popular so they probably saw dollar signs.

Members Vee Posted yesterday at 04:58 AM Members Share Posted yesterday at 04:58 AM This is where @Darn comes in. I dragged him into getting into the show (and may have to help him secure finding it again!) and he insists they should revive the viable property while the cast is still alive. If it is that popular, he has a point. I've laid out some thoughts on that in the past as have many of us in this thread, but while I think Knots is a fertile brand for a new take I just don't see a way to realistically have enough of the families or their kids all reassemble in the same neighborhood, and I don't think a full new cast reboot would last ten minutes either.

Members Chris B Posted yesterday at 06:21 PM Members Share Posted yesterday at 06:21 PM As I get to the later years of my re-watch, I do think there is a world where Knots could be revived today but since they resisted change in the later years, it would be more difficult to pull off. I do have a fantasy idea for a one off mini-series, but the cast is too old to commit to a new series. My idea would be to have Mack die mysteriously and show Karen coping with another loss. I'd have Val, now a true crime podcaster investigate the murder alongside Paige and then you discover Greg is somehow involved (although no responsible). I'd use it as a reunion to bring back as many people as possible but it would just be to say goodbye. As for a full reboot, I just don't trust the quality of writing to do it justice in 2025. If I were to do it I'd probably leave the Fairgate/Mackenzie home still in the family. While I can see the Ewing's moving, I don't see Karen leaving that home or not leaving it to one of her kids. Perhaps you could even leave Brian/Kate in Abby's house if they could get Brian Austin Green back as Brian which would allow for Donna Mills to guest star.
Members adrnyc
Ok - so looking into the "pulling of KL and FC" more, I see that it will happen on March 2. The only article I could find said that KL would be available for purchase through Apple, Fandango, and all the various other sources. That's great. I prefer to own stuff anyway and will happily buy KL - a season at a time until it gets to a place where I may no longer enjoy it. I couldn't find any info on FC, however. Does anyone know/have inside information if it will be available for purchase as well? I mean, I'm in the middle of Season 6, and it seems to be deteriorating quickly. (If anyone could explain to me why Melissa is suddenly going crazy, I'd be grateful. It makes no sense whatsoever.) But I'm still interested in seeing how things progress. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
Members Soapsuds
Falcon Crest's first four seasons were available for purchase on Apple before it aired on Amazon Prime. I'm sure the show will be available for purchase once it leaves Amazon Prime. Edited 15 hours ago by Soapsuds
