I thought the ladies looked great and I enjoyed the bit with their costumes. I was surprised that the hosts didn't mention Larry Hagman's passing.

If I forget, someone remember to remind us all about the Pioneers of Television special on Tuesday.

I get extremely angry when they say that. I actually even prefer, as sad as that is, the comparison to the "Real Housewives," because at least those shows are more soapy.

I enjoyed The Talk segment, even if I think Cheryl was mostly faking about Knots to get some attention. Joan was a lot of fun, as were Michele and Donna. Donna's haircut was a little jarring, as she looked like a stylish elderly First Lady, but she looked great.

I have to confess that when Michele Lee talks about how Knots talked about the issues of the day, and that's why it was a success, I roll my eyes a little. Other than the teen drug story with Olivia, I don't believe Knots did that, and frankly, the few times they tried (vigilantism, biker gangs, Sid's rape accusations, tidal energy), they flopped. They didn't even bring any non-white actors on for 9 seasons. 9.

What made Knots a success was the chemistry between the actors, the complex and relateable characters, the family moments good and bad, the moments of comedy and friendship, the fantastic pacing, and the densely plotted arcs that always gave you a damn good cliffhanger and usually a good resolution.

Joan is really obsessed with playing those types of characters. laugh.png One thing that always strikes me about her in interviews (besides the fact that she speaks in perfect soundbites that I've often heard more than once), is that she's always got her finger on the pulse of scripted series. In almost every interview, she's got an idea for some flashy/trashy character she'd love to play on one of the hot shows of the moment. I really hope she gets her chance to play one of her fantasy roles as a series regular.

I'd like to know why people compare Knots to desperate housewives, as if Desperate housewives is somehow the bigger show.. Let's not forget, DH ran for 8 seasons, Knots ran for 14. But I LOVED the reunion... they all looked great, but Donna looked AMAZING! The dress, the hair, whatever work she's had done is VERY well done.

    • Leslie's campiness has become irritating to me, not mesmerizing anymore.  It's getting repetitive, constantly plotting and flirting.  She's become a cartoon, sadly, and the actress is worth more than that. I want to fastforward through her, but now I watch to see her scene partners react.
    • Or get excited because they have less to memorize for the same check lol Sign me up for this!
    • Sounds about right. I hope they use a nickname for her as to not confuse everybody.
    • LOL - my mind was looking for a 'Cole' in Reva's long name, and of course that's the actor's name instead. I guess 7 unique husbands, and a couple she married twice, which gets her to 9?   Hahaha - true, could be. Hopefully/surely she somehow audited her beloved character's name before publishing.

    • Yeah, Leslie doesn’t care that people think or know that she’s guilty. She knows she can get off in some way and will revel in throwing it in those hypocritical Dupree faces.
    • Hold on to that thought, because I'll be eager to know if you feel the same way as you progress through her journey, after that evening.
    • Very interesting and great to hear, I'm glad she isn't just largely unpopular.

    • Wow, they really wasted Lucky in this latest return. How could they botch it up like that? And I really hate what they've done with Nina. So she's going to betray the one person who's done nothing but be kind and loving to her after having moved past the fact that she pretended to be her long lost daughter for someone who isn't even worth it at this point? There is really no coming back for Nina, is there? I honestly won't be surprised if both Sasha and Willow end up disowning Nina and cutting her out of their lives for good. And Nina is going to be even more of a pariah and social outcast than she already is.  Honestly, if the writers are going to make the entire town hate Nina, they might as well make her a full blown villain at this point and have her actually own it. Maybe losing Willow and the kids forever might finally prompt Nina to embrace her dark side and go full steam ahead with her villain era. At least make her the kind of villain people can get behind and enjoy, not... whatever this is.  On the other hand, Willow delivering Sasha's kid in court is actually an interesting twist. Wonder what Sasha is going to name her daughter now?
    • Someone needs to help me stop laughing because I've been crying from laughter in the past half an hour. My husband came to check if I'm okay. I'm more than okay. Is it Christmas already?
