I didn't mean to let the cat of the bag, but just wanted to give a heads up. The two episodes from 1977 was so great and to see the climax of a plot that had been going on for nearly 2 years with Carolee/Steve/Ann. I hope we can get the rest of the run through December 1982.

Several weeks ago I discovered this site and The Doctors thread.  I wanted to finish reading the entire thread before posting which was when Retro TV was canceled in the Los Angeles area

I'm still mad that Retro TV can't get their act together and find an outlet over the air in LA or even better be offered on Roku or one of the streaming apps.  I was so excited to come in today and see that someone--Thanks! --had posted links to the end of the Ann Larimer story.  I just discovered that the person has posted the latest episode Oh Annie, Part 2 today.

Steve and Ann's confrontation reminded me so much of Kelly and Nola's on GL.

Still, even if I know David O'Brien (and everyone else) gave their best, Geraldine Court, IMO, acted damned circles around them.  And that, ladies and gents, always has been one of my major issues with TD.  With the exception of Kathryn Harrold, Armand Assante, and later Alec Baldwin and Kathleen Turner, the acting level on this show just plain stinks.

FYI:

That was me who posted those episodes. Those were too good not to share, but I won't be posting anymore anytime soon. I've had my YouTube channels for many years and I don't want any serious infractions.

With all due respect, is it a good idea to be posting a link to the above video on this board? Since Retro is already aware that people are posting episodes on YouTube and DailyMotion, and is getting those channels shut down, isn't this putting MontyB's channel at risk of being shut down? Not trying to stir up trouble here. Just asking a legitimate question.

I'm sorry to hear that those channels are gone. To be honest I haven't watched past 1969 as I didn't care for where the show was heading and I mostly just watched with my mother, but I still liked that the episodes were around if I wanted to ever catch up. Oh well.

Hi all!  Hoping you guys can help me out with a couple questions...

First, I know that the weekday airings are from 1977, so what year are the current Saturday and Sunday eps from?

Also, does anyone know where the YouTube folks were getting their airdate info from?

I just caught the tail end of a Sunday episode. Judging by the fashions, the presence of Carolee Campbell, the appearance of Althea, and the closing theme music, I'd think these episodes are from the late '60s.  I could be very wrong but hearing that different closing credits music really made me think it was earlier than the '70s

Here I agree 100 percent. The show definitely has improved from the low points after 1994. And it's approaching a more familiar era where things are not as uncertain as before. Claudia in my opinion was very bad one dimensional character, that Bradley struggled with a lot. And I agree that Thorne's sudden love for Taylor was absurd. Maggie - another confused mess that never worked for me.  I don't agree with you here. I didn't like the Thorne-Taylor-Ridge thing and I think it was repetitive and stupid. And it made Taylor look incredibly Brooke-ish and overall bad. She was starting to lose her appeal during this time for me.  Stephanie-Lauren fight was iconic, but very rushed.  The Greenland storyline was absolutely horrifyingly bad and over the top.  This I agree 100 percent. Maggie didn't work from that moment on for me. The Psycho house stuff was laughable.  The twins stuff was bad. The acting was bad... Lauren looking like the bad twin is going to devour her 24/7 was too much for me. Eric was very cringe also in this storyline.  I agree. I liked the addition of Amber... and I also like Stephanie's revived feud with Sheila. What is to come is better and better. Overall - thank you so much for writing these reviews. They are super amazing and even when I differ in opinion, I love to read them! You have a talent for writing reviews!

Just couple of months ago. I'm so saddened right now.
    • I wasn't expecting this. Leslie was the first character I saw on GH when I started watching.

    • Thanks @Paul Raven . I love that she even drew up a petition. A shame she didn't get to finish out that storyline, although it seemed to become a mess anyway.
    • It's funny to think one of the only later mentions of Justin/Sarah was in The Guiding Plight. They had some decent chemistry in the 1976 episode put out on DVD.
    • Very. They're building up his story again and picking the perfect time to do so. As the SilkPress storyline climaxes and go off in several great directions, they are building up that story to take a turn.
