I hope the recent lack of posts isn't an indication that the writing change is causing a growing disinterest. (I rarely post because I'm so behind from the currently aired late-'69 shows.)

There have never been a ton of posts here to begin with, because most of the fans here who watched stopped posting at SON for one reason or another.

I enjoy coming here to see what folks are sharing and discussing and check in daily, but I spend a lot more time now discussing things about TD over on Facebook in "THE DOCTORS Soap Opera (1963-82)" group. Though it's a closed group, we are a welcoming bunch and will let in pretty much anyone who asks because of interest in the show! People are sharing links to video uploads of the same-day aired episodes, old magazine articles, and plenty of intelligent and humorous conversation! If you crave regular discussion about the show, find us there!

Thank you for the information about the Facebook group...  I joined yesterday and am enjoying it immensely...

I'm glad you're enjoying it, Darlin! Looking forward to seeing you there--and here!

You will know me by the ellipsis at the end of what I write...  lol...

About a week ago, there was a cop named Joel that broke up the fight between Steve and Nick.  He looks like actor George Welbes. Did anyone else recognize the actor?

While the currently airing episodes are a mess, they are still running circles around a lot of what we are watching on today's shows.  The actors aren't smug, and no one is there chewing the scenery like some actors....

It really is wonderful that these episodes are available to be seen...<throwing shade in your direction, P&G>

I've fallen behind on my viewing (will catch up at some point, lol) but I just wanted to let anyone here know who's from NYC...if you haven't been able to get Retro TV, it's showing up now on channel 32.5.

Happy camper here. :)

Stumbled upon a 1970 episode and there was veteran actress Frances Sternhagen. I was in a play with Franny back in 1984 and she was the very best to work with. I'm wondering how much older than the actor playing her son on The Doctors was-like, maybe 5 years? I think soon after that she ended up doing a series of Colgate commercials where she was a babysitter-well, she always did have an impressive set of choppers!

In March 1970 Virginia Vestoff rejoined the cast of '1776' on Broadway, which I believe she departed when she got the gig as Althea.Leads me to believe that Althea will soon be leaving town and not seen again until EH returns.

I love seeing how Billy became to Carolee's son.

Was Billy the Winters kid?

No. The kid who was adopted by Ruth and Bill Winters was named Danny. Billy is the son of Dan and Tammy Allison.
