The court stuff still isn't working for me, aside from Norris and Mary.

I like seeing James Fleet and the scenes where he took Carla and Hayley hostage were tense, I loved when Tony swanned into the room and ripped the tape off Carla's mouth ("that's three layers of fake tan gone"), but why exactly would Roy or Carla automatically do anything that this strange man wants, a man who happens to come to Weatherfield just as Tony escapes from prison, and who is talking to both of them? I guess they just don't know each other well enough to compare notes.

Kim Crowther interview.

Seige Week is doing ok so far.

Gail stuff is pretty good and Norris/Mary are starting to work well off each other.

Seige story itself is doing pretty good and with a strong lead in like Britains Got Talent, i suspect the ratings will remain high.

Due to the recent shooting tragedy, tonight's Corrie has been PULLED OFF the ITV schedule. :o

It looks like they aren't sure when the episode is going to be broadcast yet, too...

ITV postpones Corrie for second day

Coronation Street will once again be pulled from this evening's schedules in the wake of Cumbria's shooting tragedy.

Late yesterday evening, the commercial broadcaster decided not to broadcast the Manchester soap's fourth episode of Siege Week out of respect for those who were killed during yesterday's incident.

The 9pm slot - sandwiched between the Britain's Got Talent performance and results shows - will again be filled by Harry Hill's The Best of TV.

An ITV spokesperson this afternoon confirmed: "Following the tragic events in Cumbria yesterday, both Wednesday's and Thursday's planned Coronation Street episodes have been postponed.”

It has not yet been confirmed when the outstanding episodes of Coronation Street will be broadcast.

I had an idea they'd pre-empt all of the week (can't imagine they'll air Friday's).

I don't know why they just don't air them next week, instead, but edited. Otherwise, if they continue as normal, there will be no point in airing these at a later date, as we would've known the outcome.

There are times (last 2 years) that it really feels as if Corrie are cursed.

I remember when Days cut out that plane crash from 2001, which was near to 09/11, and all we saw was Victor and Nicole on a plane, and then on the island, with Victor's arm in a sling. They should do something like that, and cut out the shootings, and limit the gun scenes; the context is way different to the real life tragedy, so what they have left, should be OK. Or, merge episodes together...

Tbh I'd rather they just delayed the episodes and then used the erratic scheduling of the next month to try to "catch up" to correct airdates.

I absolutely hate it when episodes are cut about and storylines edited. I'd rather watch nothing than a barely decipherable version of what was originally intended. Perhaps it's the frustrated Neighbours viewer in me!

I think they should just air the episodes. I know its sad that the cumbria shootings happen but no one is going to be affected by it. Its fiction for crying out load. Friday air double episodes and air another on Saturday. i was so looking forward to Siege Week and ITV have screwed it all up. THANKS A BUNCH.

MTV's Floribama Shore Kirk Medias is dead at 33 years old.
    • Of course, sexy silver fox Dr. Jeffrey Russell has to be in cahoots with EJ so that Kayla's morals don't look selfish and skewed when she is completely in the wrong in letting Steve accidentally on purpose look at the important hospital files. Anyone find it funny that a handful of characters slurred their words today?  I can't quite explain it, but sometimes, like today, I feel like Deidre Hall plays scenes too light or passive, for lack of a better word. She's definitely more known as a charismatic personality than powerhouse actress compared to her soap diva counterparts from other soaps, but I just wish she could give me more. I did, however, like that her scenes with EJ got a 'to be continued...' about Belle. Maybe then I'll see more of what I want from her. Have Shawn and Johnny literally ever had a scene together before today? If they start having Sarah in a scene where she connects with literally any other Horton, then I'll be really impressed.  I'm glad they went through the trouble of explaining why EJ bid on Cat. It made enough sense, and I laughed when Chad spit out his asking about it as soon as humanly possible.

    • But Leslie is doing it all for her daughter.

Such a liar. Great episode but Martin needs to be recast. He hasn't improved. I didn't feel anything for him because of his acting and the writing. He has been so isolated from Ted and Nicole that he doesn't seem like their son, much less family. Leslie is pure evil. She wants Ted and the house and the riches that go with it. She doesn't care about Eva. I felt really bad for Eva.
    • I dont understand the motivation behind it. Eva is her link to Ted and the Duprees and without her, she has nothing. It would have served better for Eva to be all fed up with her and leave the house on her own and Leslie try to make amends bc she needs her for this comeup she's been talking about. Eva can repair her relationship with Ted and maybe build something with the Duprees and cut her out
    • So good today Dante is overreacting blaming gio Hopefully Danny will come clean
    • Not mad at Leslie Locking Eva out, I think it's important for the audience to see her on her own for a while. Curious how scrappy and savvy she becomes on her own. Yeah, I am with you there. It feels a bit hollow; maybe if she was talking to Martin and Kat I would feel better about it. There must be more to this story. Daphnee and Ambyr owned this episode. Tugging my heart in every scene. Nicole process hurt and anger much differently than Dani though.
    • I also really enjoyed Eva's scenes with Kat today. They have an interesting chemistry. I thought it really did feel a bit like sisters at conflict. Especially with the way that Eva was trying to convince Kat to forgive Ted and them both coming to the conclusion that the man they thought was their father was different wasn't who they really thought he was initially. And the way that Eva broke down when Kat said that she was dead to her was emotional stuff. I really do think that in spite of their conflict/bickering Eva really would have loved to have gained a sister, along with a brother, father, etc... Also, I thought it was interesting how Eva kept saying that she loves Ted and Nicole. That and Leslie mentioning that Kat/Eva are almost twins really does make me wonder if Kat may really be her twin and Nicole's as well. I would gladly welcome that outcome, even if it takes a while for it to come out. At this point Leslie doesn't deserve Eva as a daughter as far as I'm concerned. And I would forward to a storyline where we found out that she's Nicole's second baby girl, and all the complex and ultimately happy feelings that would bring Nicole. Eva/Kat could still have a rivalry, especially if Nicole ended up doing some more bonding with Eva. And then we could get the rest of the family's reaction to that as well.
