This James Sutton/Kieron Richardson interview just gets more and more awkward as it goes along, especially about Harry. (spoilers included) It's a subdued car crash, especially when Kieron starts getting upset at people thinking he's old.

I don't she how Kieron was being obnoxious. Him and James Sutton were just having a laugh/a bit of banter. It shows how close and comfortable they are working together. In fact, I was impressed that he was so self-aware about how awful Ste has been. I did find it funny that they alluded to both of them sleeping with others, but keeping their names a secret as if it wasn't obvious that it would by JP/Lockie and Ste/Scott. Unless this show pulls another Grace, which was a great twist.

Tonight's episode was pretty good except for two things. Seeing Patrick win again for the billionth time is tiring. Knowing what it leads to I can only hope this is end. It's just such a shame since Maxine got to show a small sliver of her old self before being put back in the victim box.

And the worst is the soon to be death of Phoebe. Her inital homeless/human trafficking story with George was brilliantly spear headed by the underrated gem that was Emma Smitchwick. Her friendships with George and Lanie, how she was one of the few who stood up for Esther during her bullying, and how well she fit into the McQueen family makes her careless death all the more enraging. I raise a (hypothetical) glass to the great 2012, the last time the show still felt whole.

1) I think you are watching the day ahead episode so I cannot help you until tomorrow.

2) You are so bad with names, LoL. Dodger hasn't been on the show since January. And yet, you remember every sordid, intricate detail from the GoT books like your life depended on it.

Lol cuz the Game of Thrones books actually have details/characters/plots that are organic, engaging and make sense. None of the stories on Hollyoaks (except maybe the Harry/John Paul thing) have really caught my attention.

Like 3/4 ths of these characters (Grace, the idiot who's in love with her, Freddie, the crazy sister, more and more) could all vanish and it just wouldn't matter. Patrick and Maxine and so played out and the same story has been going on for like 3 years it seems. No one ever really pays for their crime or is called out on their nonsense (John Paul and Ste for instance).

It was so unnecessary to have Porsche lie to John Paul and even more ridiculous that he would believe her lie. If she had to push him away, he should have realized what she was doing and made sure to keep an eye out for Pete's machinations on the down low.

At least the show is succeeding exponentially in making Pete a complete creep, but doing so with subtlety.

I saw a bit of today's show and rolled my eyes that yet again Ste is back on drugs...do they just repeat the same three stories for him over and over again? Why are people supposed to care about him or care that annoying, worthless Sinead needs him, or that her idiot cousin trots along behind her like a mule come to life?

This is one show where porn fics would be better to watch than the actual material onscreen.

    • I don't expect Lois to be the same person she was 25 years ago, but she's definitely lost a lot of what made Lois unique.  It's clear the show doesn't know how to write for her, and the sole purpose of Lois is to hide this Gio secret.  It's a shame she doesn't interact with more of the canvas.  It's a waste of Rena's talents. I like Brook Kerr most of the time.  She can be hit or miss.  I totally get what you are saying about her line readings too.  I honestly think the character really suffers being stuck in the Curtis pairing.  She's much better than Tanisha Harper's Jordan lol.
    • Friday and yesterday's episode is what daytime television should be. The other shows airing could take a page from yesterday's show.  I loved the rage, hurt and anger Nicole unleashed on Ted.  Daphnee should be up for an Emmy nom for these scenes.  It broke my heart to see how Dana had locked Eva out.  I do feel sorry for Eva.    I am still bumfuzzled as to why Leslie/Dana went to the DuPree's and asked them to accept Kat UNLESS Eva is really Kat's twin (and really Nicole and Ted's daughter that maybe they though they lost or an embryo Dana/Leslie stole??) I loved how Anita and Vernon both shot her down.    Ohhh and let me just say Friday and yesterday was the MOST fire I have seen Martin have since the show started.  Maybe Brandon Clayborn is coming into his own with the role finally.
    • You've been seeing him all along. You just didn't know it was him, I guess.

    • Where to for Dana? She's pissed off the Duprees (most of the cast), alienated her daughter and will she be welcomed by the Have Nots at the diner? Maybe she can befriend Ashley and Derek and liven up their story.
    • Melissa Ordway announced she was moved to recurring back in November but is still credited with the contract cast members.
    • I think of Evan as a smarmy bast*rd. Maybe you'll like that description. You certainly have him pegged correctly since he is just a soldier following "Admiral" Iris's marching orders.
    • So far the only interest I've seen from Evan to Amanda has been listening to Iris's orders to go and seduce her.  So far he hasn't been successful... but who knows. Amanda is unbearable at times. Entitled, spoiled... idiotic. Iris... so blatantly manipulating her and Amanda takes the bait. But I guess... when she gets in trouble... she'll have a chance to learn. That's what makes these shows so interesting.    Oh, no, don't worry. You haven't ruined a thing. Evan has not been on my radar that much... he was not one of the characters I was caring particularly... so nothing much has been changed for me. I don't think he has the stuff to ruin Rachel's life. He's just a pretty guy that can follow orders. Iris on the other hand... is dangerous.

P.S Maybe Evan will surprise me. Who knows.
    • The show has gone back to 10/10 entertainment! I'm glad that I was right in feeling that what were experiencing were growing pains. I'm sure they are not over yet, but I'll know that we always comeback to quality drama. I think it's going to be a hell of ride (in a good way) from this moment on. BTG has that magic that not a lot of shows have. I'll update more... when I'm done catching up.
    • So very glad to hear this. Yesterday I suddenly thought; OMG, what about spoilers, have I just  ruined things for Maxim in getting carried away with interest in Evan, who was so well-written & well-acted. BTW, your fan review of this episode was a sight for eyes that had not seen one of these for a little bit too long, LOL!!!  Mitch is also fascinating to me but in his case it's because he was all in with Janice & her nefarious plan & then he did this turnabout we've mentioned & he basically got off scot-free.
    • It does seem cheap and lazy for this show to have just one family. Passions was heavily criticized but it was nicely structured with a total of four families.
