I agree that Hunter Tylo is far less attractive since her return to B&B... never mind the way they have butchered her character.

But going a little off on here, Taylor's return from the dead is something that should never have happened and perfectly illustrates one of the reasons soaps are where they are now. We all saw her pass away on our screens, and they re-wrote history to make it look like she never died. An insult to intelligence as much as any.

I half agree. When she first returned she looked awful. But her facelift has settled since then and IMO, she looks great now. She is more attractive than Lang and Gareis IMO (not that I think either of them are unattractive at all).

I agree - it shouldn't have happened. Killing Taylor off in the first place was a very bad decision, and bringing her back was a worse one. It all stems from Bell's lack of imagination. He couldn't come up with a storyline for Ridge & Brooke so he decided to throw Taylor back into the mix, and insult the viewers' intelligence in the process. But being a Taylor fan, despite the dreadful "return from the grave" storyline which should never have happened, I am happy to have her back NOW... if that makes sense.

The only ones I can think of at the moment who I wish would just stop are Nicole Forrester, Susan Lucci (never seen her pre-'90s work, so maybe that isn't fair), Ron Moss, Hunter Tylo, Brian Gaskill, and Mandy Bruno (learn to stop playing yourself!).

I like Blake Berris.. I also think that Josh Taylor was a great actor on Days in the '70s (from what little I've seen). There are a lot of actors I strongly dislike, but I give them the benefit of the doubt that they'd be better in a different role or with some more experience.

MY TOP 5 WORST :

Julie Marie Berman - the most overrated actress EVER!

Josh Duhon - oh, I won't even start with this one

Farah Fath sucked bigtime as Mimi Lockhart. She was practically unwatchable.

Christel Khalil

Bryton McClure

Others:

Steve Burton

Cameron Mathison

Alexa Havins

Justin Bruening

Ronn Moss

Shelley Hennig

Maurice Benard.

The soap press/GH PR dept. still refer to him as "The Master".

Every new actor who joins the show has to give some interview where they talk about "looking up to" Mr. Benard, "being taken under the wing of" Mr. Benard, being coached in the Method Way by Mr. Benard.

It used to make me laugh. Now it just makes me  to hear accomplished actresses like Carolyn Hennessy go on about the privilege of "learning from" Mr. Benard. Sweet Jesus. Are these people deaf and blind? Is GH so invested in Mo's presence on the show that everybody is contractually obliged to pretend that an obviously bored and burnt-out actor (exhausted by Guza's execrable SLs) actually has advice worth imparting?

You see, I tend to think this devotion to one character or couple is exactly the sort of thing that leads to these ridiculous "back from the dead" storylines and all that, and only further erodes Daytime's credibility.

Re: Josh Taylor in the above posts. He was quite fondly remembered by Days fans in the 80s as Chris Kositchek, which is why bringing him back as Roman reeked of utter stupidity.

Thaao Phenglis.. in addition to playing Tony, I remember him playing Nicholas Black in the late 80s Mission: Impossible series, which I felt was one of the better remakes of any classic series. At least it stayed true to the original concept, unlike the Tom Cruise movies. I still have most episodes of it on tape.

    • While I do love the chaotic energy that is Kat vs Lesile, it is a bit extra. Sheltered, virginal Kat who plays it safe from her man to her wardrobe understands that Leslie is dangerous, but she's out here showing up everywhere and anywhere that Lesile is to be found and actively going to places where she is alone? I mean Kat doesn't even act a little afraid or intimidated by Leslie. Meanwhile, big Ole Derek out here begging for his and Ashley's life to Jacob.  As for Dani, I didn't see it that way. Dani and Bill were together for 30 years and shared a family. I believe there was real love there at one point. Bill is still an ass and Dani is still crazy, but realizing she may lose him and her daughter's may lose their dad definitely struck a chord.
    • Funny I randomly saw Kami’s lengthy post about the 44th anniversary of the Walton’s finale last week pop up in my news feed on Facebook. A few inaccuracies to her post but overall it was pretty insightful and interesting to read.
    • Well, depending on rewrites...Jennifer Richards potentially slept with Brandon and Alan. It does feel like we're forgetting someone, but then again, maybe I'm confusing that with brothers, which would include a lot more.
    • Maybe it’s me, and the fact that RC isn’t at the helm, but since Cwikly and Ford have taken over I’ve noticed the show doing a lot of things differently directing wise, and since the storyline of John’s demise began, the show has been using different scores, and dare I say better ones than this time last year. It’s interesting and I wonder if the any of it is Noel Maxam’s influence before being promoted.
    • I think Nicole is about to figure out what's going on between Andre and Dani.
    • @Efulton thank you. I don't know how I missed it or didn't recall it.  I'll blame amnesia . Anyway @Errol Could the newer thread be merged to the existing? Thanks in advance.
    • I just finished watching and I have to admit, not once did I find myself wondering who wasn't there. Quick question for anyone who followed this better than I did: was it only Andrew who rescued Cat and John from Clyde, or was Shane involved too? The reactions during their scenes today felt a little off to me. I know it was meant to be vague, but I didn't find it strange that they already knew each other.
    • Yeah, financially, Luna is in better shape than Deacon and Sheila.   -- Scott Clifton must have decided to chew the scenery in every scene of this "Liam is Dying" storyline. Yikes.
    • If J.R. wasn't busy with Ewing Oil, he'd be a heckuva soap recapper. He was SO gleeful at recapping Jenna-Bobby-Pam when the trio and Mark encountered each other at the Oil Baron's Ball. That being said, Lucy, presumably Sue Ellen and maybe Ray should all know this story, or at least part of it. Lucy was definitely at Southfork during Jenna and Bobby's relationship, and I believe Sue Ellen was about to marry J.R. around the time Jenna jilted Bobby. (Ray might not have given a damn.)
    • Broadcasting Magazine (May 5, 1980) : Future US-Next TV : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive On page 48 there's an interview with Lee Rich about Lorimar's fortunes.
