What, no Shelley Hack, lol?

I hate to think there's still animosity between Kate and Cheryl. The series ended over 40 years ago, and Farrah, David Doyle, John Forsythe, Leonard Goldberg, Tanya Roberts and Aaron Spelling all have passed away. It's way past time for those two ladies (or, at least, for Kate, as I don't think there's ever been as much animosity on Cheryl's side) to bury the proverbial hatchet (but preferably not in each other's literal backs, lol).

I know Kate and maybe Jaclyn have remarked that the series should've ended when Farrah quit...and I'm inclined to believe them. The chemistry among the initial three - Kate, Farrah, and Jaclyn - redeems the bad writing. Once Farrah's gone, there's a few decent episodes with Kate/Jaclyn/Cheryl; halfway through S2, however, the series really falls apart.

You know that Jaclyn will be seated in the middle between the two.....LOL I hope Kate is in a good mood that day and Cheryl doesn't do or say anything that pisses her off.

Kate and Cheryl did "Satan's School For Girls" together for Spelling in 1973. I often wonder is something happened on set there between the two that carried over to Charlie's Angels ? There's a 1977 Mike Douglas show on youtube where He visits the set to meet the newest angel. Kate sits in on Jaclyn's interview then leaves before Cheryl come in. It's awkward.

If only the actual show had been that exciting!

To me, the fact that more of the cast apparently were on her side rather than his speaks volumes.

I guess Pamela Bellwood DGAF at that point. But where did Jack Coleman and Ted McGinley stand?

Ted McGinley was just looking for the next show to kill.

@Soapsuds Thanks. I had to laugh at the whole section which goes on a bit too long about how Joan must be jealous of Linda's projects with CBS...after Linda leaves Dynasty (did those materialize?). And her contract with...Cannon films, which was a mess that ended up bankrupt before Dynasty even ended. And of course Joan was jealous of Linda's youth and beauty!

Dynasty and 90210 had backstage drama that rivaled what was onscreen, but surprisingly Melrose kept the drama mostly onscreen.

I doubt Joan was ever jealous of Linda. After all, she (Joan) was the one who bagged Warren Beatty for a time. She knew she had the goods, lol.

I've always wondered how MP managed to have a trouble-free set compared with so many other Spelling-produced shows.

IDK what you do for a living, @Maxim , but I gotta believe it's better than hawking Crystal F'ing Light.

Trust me... I would trade my sit-in-front-of-a-laptop-editing-other-people's-words... job... IN A HEARBEAT... for a skimpy arctic blue leotard and an ice cold glass of Crystal Light. ❤️

I know. Even Aaron Spelling non-soaps had backstage drama. Whenever I've seen group interviews with Melrose cast members, they all seem to genuinely like each other.

I was surprised to find out Joan Collins didn't have beef with Diahann Carroll. You'd think Joan Collins being the diva of all divas of 1980s primetime soaps would be jealous of an actress brought on to be her rival but from what I've seen online, Joan and Diahann got along and became friends and remained so until Diahann passed away and Joan posted a memoriam to Diahann on social media.

Honestly, I think it's down to Heather - for all her personal troubles - is pretty chill and doesn't have a huge ego. Despite a lot of promotion focusing on her, Amanda actually took the back seat a lot, especially in the first three seasons. Add that people like Darren Star complemented her ability to leave whatever [!@#$%^&*] was going on in her life at the door and just be professional on set.

That's why I would hire her in a second if I were running any kind of series. She might not be the greatest actor, but she has screen presence, she's a hard worker and a team player.
