Today was a great episode. I can't believe no one has posted as yet. Ridge was out of character being so intuitive about Brooke and giving advise to Bridget. Taylor got to take her son despite Brooke's machinations. Phoebe and Bridget need to wake the hell up.

I cringe every time someone bows at Taylor's feet over her mothering skills. Regardless of how she dealt with her children (and depending on the timeline, Brooke raised them longer anyway..), those children were not biologically Brooke's. I have trouble understanding why no one understands why Brooke is upset at the thought that the woman who flipped out and blamed Brooke for the end of her marriage, and is now openly consorting with Brooke's other biological son, taking care of an infant.

And no matter what Nick says, he's a friggin' hypocrite. The minute he found out Brooke was Jack's bio-mom, he was whispering in her ear about how they were "destined" to be together. How he pushed her to be a mother to Jack. Now that Brooke can't commit to being a "happy little family" with him, she's just the "egg donor". He needs to STFU and die.

The talk between Bridge and Ridge??? Gave me the freakin' creeps after their near incestuous hook-up. Even though I admired the effects of his personality transplant, suddenly becoming patient and wise like an owl.

Freaking brilliant comments PJ!

The entire town should be against taywhore raising jack. is everyone forgetting how she murdered darla and used her teen daughter to cover it up? what kind of a parent would let their teen daughter cover their tracks? let's not even begin with her drinking repeatedly while alone with baby jack! hello! has she even gone back to AA? and yet taywhore set herself on fire while drunk on wine and involved with ridge years ago!

b&b missed a great opportunity with macy. her return was great when she was in a rivalry with brooke, was married to deacon and was the violent, recovering town alcoholic. taywhore is merely a lightweight version of macy since hunter tylo is not on the same level of bobbie eakes' (ex-macy) acting.

b&b is terrible lately. all shock value (rick/taywhore, taywhore being good enough to take jack for a night, ridge being "wise" to bridget of all people) and no gripping and logical storylines. and no one on the show is bringing up the fact that rick once thought of tay as a mother figure! she taught him how to swim as a child and he even told her that he wished she was his mom! go on youtube since it must be there. it's beyond disgusting and oedipal for tay to be after rick only for revenge against brooke. and yet tay is still painted as the "good" one!

bridget should be telling rick not to get involved with tay since she went through that with ridge. also, do rick and tay even know brooke was raped, and how tay's role in taking ridge jr. and hope away from brooke led to the rape?

No Bridget wasnt telling Ridge that him not marrying Brooke was putting her life on hold. Is she crazy? Brooke married 2 men before (Whip and Eric) so Bridget could keep her man at the time and look how much good that did her. Ridge is talkign with sense and realizes and acknowledges Brooke's connection with Nick unlike Bridget who'd rather live in LaLa land

Some would argue the reverse as Taylor had the rivalry with Brooke YEARS before she and Macy started feuding.

Taylor is Jack's mother and deserves to see him. Using Rick as an excuse for why she cant is weak on Brooke and Nick's part. If anythign thats a reason why she should since he has been a rock for her and has helped her become stronger and deal with what has happened to her life

No, I dont beleive Taylor and Rick know about the rape. Only a select few were told and they were not. Oh please, I hope you arent blaming Taylor for her rape now bc thats a bit far stretch even for you.

Nick gets on my nerves seriously. Everyone is blaming Brooke for everything but really it's all his fault. If he wasn't in love with Brooke, he and Taylor would still be together, but they broke up because HE still had feelings for Brooke which led to the seperation and now the custody issue. Also he's stringing Bridget along and making passes at katie.

Some would argue the reverse as Taylor had the rivalry with Brooke YEARS before she and Macy started feuding.

but tay was "different" back then. she wasn't the town's raging alcoholic. she was the town hypocrite who sniffed after brooke's scraps and pretended to be saintly but used stephanie to do her dirty work.

macy was the town drunk who repeatedly fell on and off the wagon and endangered others in the process (keith, brooke, thorne and even herself). hunter tylo is merely filling the big shoes left by bobbie eakes's exit, yet her acting pales in comparison. even as a character, macy is much more compelling compared to taywhore. and macy has always had baby issues since she never had children and then couldn't give birth when she reunited with thorne. it would've been a LOT more compelling if macy and brooke were fighting over baby jack since macy has always wanted a kid. she even went mental over hope and took custody of rick the third/deacon jr. years ago. macy has always wanted a child, while taywhore could care less about her children. steffie is as far away from her as geography permits. she never mentions thomas and phoebe lives in a dorm when she could easily live with her whore of a mother. the only reason taywhore wants jack is because he's brooke's biological child and the only reason tay wants to do rick is because he's brooke's son. tay is that twisted.

Taylor is Jack's mother and deserves to see him. Using Rick as an excuse for why she cant is weak on Brooke and Nick's part. If anythign thats a reason why she should since he has been a rock for her and has helped her become stronger and deal with what has happened to her life

you're joking right? rick is supportive of her! hilarious! as a psychiatrist she should know how destructive her relationship with rick is, but tay takes either brooke's scraps (ridge, nick, thorne) or men related to brooke (rick, stephen, storm) since she can't have brooke. pretty soon she'll be sniffing after ridge jr. once he's rapidly aged.

No, I dont beleive Taylor and Rick know about the rape. Only a select few were told and they were not. Oh please, I hope you arent blaming Taylor for her rape now bc thats a bit far stretch even for you.

tay knew of stephanie's plan to insinuate a virtual stranger like andy into brooke's life. as a psychiatrist, she should know that that is insane of stephanie to do that. and since stephanie is capable of committing crimes (like faking a heart attack, being violent, etc.), tay should have told brooke about andy.

I look forward Taylor and Rick having a passionate affair. I hope Taylor sleeps her way through Brooke's family, the way Brooke has slept her way through the Forresters. Payback is a bitch. Brooke will now know what Stephanie had to suffer through all those years. Of course, the ultimate karma is that one of Taylor's infertile eggs pops back to life to combine Rick's virile sperm to produce Brooke's first grandchild. I would die laughing as Brooke suffers a complete nervous breakdown. I live in hope to see that day.

Again and people can say that Macy was filling in for Taylor's shoes as Brooke's arch nemesis as Taylor was Brooke's biggest competition outside of Stephanie. They were repeating the Taylor/Brooke feud with Macy thrown in for Taylor.

No Im not joking. Rick has been the ONLY person that has been there for her throughout this whole mess. Let's face it, she was a wreck. She was drinking, going off and not thinking or acting rationally. Rick helped her to sober up and look at the bigger picture. He has given her a sounding board to vent off and release tension and he has been supporting her right to be with her son. No one else has done this much for Taylor. Granted he does have some intetnions that I dont agree with bc they shouldnt be in a relationship, but that doesnt negate the positive influence he has had in her life. Without him, she probably wouldnt have been able to handle things as well as she has recently.

It is not Taylor's fault, Brooke got raped. I cant recall to what extent she knew about Stephanie's doing then, but it doesnt matter bc she did not sic that guy on Brooke. Taylor was removed from the situation and did not have much to do with Brooke or the Forrester's outside of her doctor, Bridget.

You have a point. Using Rick as the excuse is stupid. Using her alcoholism and mental breakdown (which from what I've seen hasn't been treated) would be better.

I think Taylor knows. I find it hard to believe that Nick knew and wouldn't have told her. Rick, I can't say either way.

Yeah...as soon as Taylor sleeps with Rick, she's ALREADY slept through Brooke's family. She's at least dated Storm (and probably more), she slept with Stephen so he could buy her 3% of Forrester when Nick was married to Brooke and taking Forrester away from the family for the years of abuse they heaped on Brooke, and now Rick. Unless Donna and Katie plan on becoming lesbians, Tay's gotten her due. Plus, she's got Jack, Brooke's biological child.

tay has slept through 3 clans. she's slept through the forresters (married ridge, engaged to thorne, seducing rick), the logans (engaged to storm, slept with stephen, now seducing rick) and the marones (married nick, married ridge). pretty soon she'll be after ridge jr. because tay's a nymphomaniac.

the big difference, which you are not getting, is that they never CHANGED macy's character. macy has always been the recovering alcoholic who did not have children. they made tay into the macy character since tay was once the "saintly" hypocrite and now she's the raging alcoholic who suddenly has either maternal instincts for brooke's child or wants to sleep with brooke's child. that is beyond disgusting................

this is the most HILARIOUS post ever! the justification you use for rick/tay is beyond logic and reason. if that whore needs a sounding board, she should go to a therapist or an AA meeting since she needs it. she is just using rick since it's her only way to be closer to her lifelong obsession, brooke!

what is she handling well recently? her relationships with thomas and steffie are nonexistent. she is never shown working. she hasn't dealt with her hallucinations, which showed how mentally unstable she is. and now she's screwing rick, the first love of her daughter and a boy that once thought of her as a mother figure! taywhore is beyond psychological help.

tay/rick is a not a good relationship. it's beyond revolting. tay was not a wreck. she is STILL a wreck. she was hallucinating in the marone mansion and thought drinking would stop her hallucinations. what kind of psychiatrist is she? she must have gotten her diploma from the street corner she works on as a hooker.

It is not Taylor's fault, Brooke got raped. I cant recall to what extent she knew about Stephanie's doing then, but it doesnt matter bc she did not sic that guy on Brooke. Taylor was removed from the situation and did not have much to do with Brooke or the Forrester's outside of her doctor, Bridget.

she was not removed from the situation. while pregnant, she was still meddling in ridge, brooke and thorne's lives. she would tell ridge to dump brooke for ashley. she went to stop thorne's wedding to donna. and she went on the witness stand to take ridge jr. and hope away from brooke.

tay meddled then, so what stopped her from meddling with stephanie's plans? stephanie told tay about andy and how she was insinuating andy into brooke's life. tay was actually one of the only people whou could've stopped the rape, but she didn't. then again, since taywhore is such an idiotic psychiatrist, she probably thought stephanie insinuating a stranger into brooke's life is sane behavior. tay is just a whore who grew up in the gutter. she's with rick because she's an old skank and he's making her feel young and he's also an easy pawn in her obsession toward brooke.

    • Concluding 1976... Raymond Schafer arrives in Springfield and begins an extensive probe into Malcolm’s death, puzzling Ed, who wonders why most of Schafer’s question sessions keep turning back to Rita’s involvement with Malcolm. Ed assures the man that Rita’s only connection with Malcolm was as his nurse; he is unaware that Schafer knows a great deal more about Rita than he does. Just to protect Rita, Ed has Mike check on Schafer’s credentials, and learns that he’s a  well-respected criminal attorney. The waitress at the restaurant where Malcolm suffered his stroke tells Schafer that the woman who was with him reacted very professionally to the sudden emergency, as if she were a nurse. Realizing that her little sister has fallen hard for Tim, Rita warns him that she’s very vulnerable and innocent, but Tim tells Rita her advice isn’t necessary. But Tim then receives a plum job offer to be chief neurological resident at a prestigious Philadelphia hospital and can’t pass up the opportunity. Evie is crushed by the news and spends the next several days at home crying. Joe Werner, fully recovered, has accepted a post as a medical aide in a destitute village in India and leaves alone, with Sarah to follow him later. Justin asks Sarah to consider a partnership with him in private practice, but she explains that she thrives on the hospital atmosphere. When a call comes from India that Joe has had another massive attack, Sarah leaves on the next available flight and arrives only moments before he dies. The painful news is relayed back to Cedars at once. Sara returns from India a heartbroken woman, but the day-to-day involvement of raising T.J. and of her career seem to be her salvation. Justin shows a surprisingly compassionate and understanding side to Sara, but, ironically, Justin’s ex-wife, Jackie, arrives in Springfield with her diabetic father, who is suffering from a heart attack. In the process of consulting with Justin on her father’s condition, Jackie comes face to face with Sara for the first time since their college days. Evie’s heartbreak at Tim’s departure turns to fury and hatred when she inadvertently discovers a letter which Tim wrote to Rita just after he left. In it he concedes that Rita was right about Evie’s vulnerability where he was concerned but reminds Rita that he badly hurt her in the same way she feared Evie would suffer. Evie is now sure that Rita somehow forced Tim to leave town and is livid at the idea that Tim was Rita’s lover. She insists she’s cutting off her relationship with Rita and will pay her back for any help she’s received in the past. Ben and Hope’s wedding plans are off, as Ben, while still insisting he’s innocent, won’t explain why the robbery evidence points to him. Hope feels his unwillingness to tell her the truth makes marriage to him impossible, but confides to Ann that she is miserable without him. Ben has echoed these sentiments to Mike but won’t confide in him, either as Hope’s father or as an attorney.   Holly is trying very hard to build a life without Ed, but since she sees him virtually every day at work, she’s unable to put him out of her mind. She accepts a date with a member of the hospital administration staff but is unable to avoid making comparisons between Ed and this young man and winds up alone, sadly holding Ed’s picture and recalling how much she loves him. Believing that the hospital board’s conclusions on Grainger’s death have settled the question once and for all, Rita has regained her self-confidence, and her romance with Ed is growing daily. They admit their love for each other, and Ed confides that he intentionally  held back with Rita for fear of making another mistake. Rita then tells Ed she has never married because for her marriage must be forever. Rita’s mother realizes that Rita is truly in love when she confides in her that she doesn’t understand why she’s been so lucky in having him love her and how she wants to be the very best person she can be for him. Ed proposes marriage to Rita and gives her time to think about it before answering. Rita painfully realizes that her past could, if it rose again against her, make a life with Ed a lost dream. But Raymond Shaefer has been quietly but efficiently carrying on his investigation and has learned that Grainger argued with Rita at her apartment. He presents the evidence he’s compiled to District Attorney Eric Van Gelder, who decides the case warrants further investigation. Rita goes to Ed’s office to tell him she loves him but can’t marry him, that she doesn’t deserve him and “can’t do it to him.” As she turns from a confused Ed to leave, she finds the district attorney and a police officer outside Ed’s door, waiting to arrest her. Ed, insisting that a serious mistake has been made, calls Mike to help her as Rita, shocked and humiliated, is taken under arrest through the hallways of the hospital in which she works. Mike manages Rita’s release on bail only after she has had to submit to the degrading booking procedure. Mike sees her alone at her apartment, explaining he can help her only if she tells him the whole truth. Rita equivocates until Mike mentions Texas, indicating to Rita that he knows at least some of the story. Van Gelder has, in fact, let Mike see the bulk of evidence in the case against Rita, to convince him her arrest wasn’t a capricious whim. Rita explains to Mike that Malcolm believed she intentionally vilified him to his father, to do him out of his rightful inheritance, and then wanted his father dead to collect her money. Mike expresses his appreciation of Rita’s honesty, promising to help her. But Rita’s tormented dreams confirm that she hasn’t yet told all the truth, and after Peggy visits, expressing firm support, Rita tells Roger she has to reveal his part in the story. Roger painfully tells Rita about his being Christina’s father to show her that if Ed knew, it would end Rita’s chances with him forever. Rita, who was ready to tell Ed the whole story, now realizes how risky that would be. Adding to Rita’s pain is her forced leave of absence from the hospital until she’s cleared and the embarrassment of seeing her name in the headlines.

    • Yes, but the stories are all pretty awful Seeing Victor rehashing his hatred of the Abbotts  when he married one of them and has a daughter that is half Abbott as well as walking around with Traci's daughter's heart keeping him alive makes him look worse than he already is. And I remember he and Jack chatting amicably in the past few years. Victor interfering in Kyle/Claire is just repeat of Billy/Victoria. Sharon, Nick,Phyllis etc are around but again the stories are lacking.
    • I think Kevin's 1996 Emmy was fair enough. He barely appeared for his second. I don't think anyone else on the list is that deserving but I might have gone with Moore as he did try with the whole Keesha AIDS story. @alwaysAMC Thanks to slick jones' cast list I was able to see that Nikki Rene played Tina. Not much on her, as you mentioned. Tap and a few Broadway listings (it doesn't help that a younger actress with a similar name is in a lot of roles). • Thank you. That does ring a bell. I remember Theresa and Julian's drunk, giggly fake wedding (with Julian asking "Whassup?" to the minister). Was Bruce tricking the pair as a prank, or did somebody put him up to it? I especially liked Katherine recalling how dashing young Alistair was when he'd pick up Rachel for dates, and how she wished she could be her sister, then feeling guilty once Rachel had her boating accident ...
    • And Kevin Mambo beat Shemar Moore for those two Emmys. I chalk up the wins to the voters not wanting Jonathan Jackson to eventually end up with a five peat (he won 1995, 1998, 1999). These were the 1996 and 1997 Younger Actor races. 1996: Nathan Fillion, Jonathan Jackson, Kevin Mambo (winner), Shemar Moore, Joshua Morrow 1997: Steve Burton, Jonathan Jackson, Kevin Mambo (winner), Shemar Moore, Joshua Morrow

    • Today's episode was excellent. Clearly it was confrontation day and they didn't disappoint. I'm glad they didn't forget Mona in all of this and gave us an opportunity to see how she's dealing with this. A major highlight for me were the Kat and Martin scenes. Their chemistry is off the charts and I don't understand why we haven't gotten more of this. I love how they take turns calming each other down. They feel really well matched and believable as siblings. Speaking of siblings, they anvils were dropping strong that Kat and Eva are twins but I do wish someone would mention that they are essentially hood twins which might throw people off the scent.  I'm one of the people who enjoyed Joey and the gambling storyline so it was nice to see him again. It was nice to see different characters like Mona and Eva in that element instead of the usual players. When Doug arrived I don't know what hit me but I just see a funeral in his future. He seems so hopeless and has the worst luck. I just can't see him surviving the year at this rate.
