Y&R: Valerie Ahern & Christian McLaughlin OUT

This part isn't good. Christian is a very good writer. His books are extremely funny. He also worked for B&B a few years ago. I'd find it more believable that he came in from the Bells not from Lynne.

Though I've not seen any of his work on Y&R, I think Christian McLaughlin would do well to go back to B&B if they'd have him. He's a good dialogue writer and the kind that that show desperately needs to at least infuse a little humour into otherwise trite stories. His episodes are currently airing over here and I catch scads before work in the morning. I knew one episode in particular was 'better' than the rest and lo and behold his name was in the credits.

Christian came in through Barbara Bloom. The two are very friendly. His stinct at B&B was brief, about thirteen weeks if I recall. He was reportedly let go by Brad Bell, so I doubt the Bells would have hired him for Y&R. No doubt his association with Babs got him the gig at Y&R.

Toups knows where Natalie is...we don't though...but she hasn't been axed.

Gottesfeld and Bennett have been fired. Check the Directors/Writers list, they last aired July 10. Ahern and McLaughlin have also been fired, so no surprise they haven't had a script.

Hogan also writes breakdowns, that's why I was hesitant on listing Marla as the BDW.

I guess you didn't see my post from a couple days ago. Jeff and Cherie weren't fired. I was wrong on that. As for them being last listed on July 10, that was for their Associate Head WRiter/script editor duties.
