What a match between Wozniacki/Kuznetsova! My girl battled through that second set, down 4-1 in the set and already down a set. I would've been sad if Caroline lost on a day that Ana Ivanonic lost and course Maria Kirilenko losing yesterday.

I can't believe the Federer match is going to be played tonight! LOL I hope Federer wins and that it won't be a close one because I do not want to stay up to watch it.

Yeah, that Djokovic/Dolgopolov first set tie-break was amazing!

They pimp Fish because he's American lol. The American Tennis Media for 15 years were used to having two Americans in the top 5 winning grand slam after grand slam (Agassi and Sampras). The, Roddick came along and looked to be the next best thing... well he tanked, is now out of the top 20 and Fish has been consistent enough to get a top 10 ranking. Its no surprise he's focused on alot, at the US Open.

Funny you should mention ratings. This years French Open final between Federer and Nadal was highly ranked. I don't know how well the Djokovic vs Nadal Wimbledon final did but I do get that they want to pimp the americans so the ratings can go up. I mean really..all the pimping Donald Young is getting in the US Open is absurd. Again like Fish he has accomplished even less.

If I were the ESPN commentators and CBS ones minus Mary Carrillo...I would worry about women's tennis. It's on a big downslide. The Women's final of the French Open this year did very poorly in the ratings.

If there is one thing that really peeve's me off when watching a sport of any sort is bias commentary.

It is like there is only one person on the court or one team out on the ground/field, and 9 times out of 10 it is the other side lol.

They go on about what they need to do better what part of their game they need to pick up and I would scream at the TV hey what about my side and how they are going. Which is most proberly the reason why I would prefer to watch Tennis matches that involve Aussie's with no sound on.

The absence of the Williams sisters is no coincidence. The women's game has been built around those two the last decade and no other player has shown to be very consistently good, and there is no other rising American which does not help either. Serena appears to be coming back to form rather quickly and barring any other injuries, she probably has a good 3 or 4 years left where she will be a perennial grand slam contender. Venus however, I think may be finished especially after being diagnosed with these disease.

    • Amen.   LMAO!!! All I take from that...and the NEXT WEEK promo from Friday...is that they will probably FINALLY reveal who it is this week.    THIS.
    • Oh and everyone just accepts Leslie the scamming liar's DNA test? Why is no on pressing for Ted to get his own. Why are they not questioning that Leslie could have tested Eva against herself?
    • Well it's nice to hear...since I missed the first 30 minutes, but judging from the dialogue...it was a RC day. I figured as much.    Tbf Bill said he had SEVERAL things on the Duprees so that is not at all surprising. Ted and Martin were just the beginning.      Great minds...
    • She has SOME nerve. Why was she even back at Nicole's house? She new the hell she was about to unleash and should have packed up her things the day before. I doubt there was anything in that little desk worth going back for anyway
    • Surely you are exaggerating-there must have been several mentions of Abbott Communications.
    • I thought she started to deal with medical issues that ultimately caused her death in 1994? Not sure but I thought I had read that she battled illness for quite a few years. Perhaps it started when she decided to leave the show? She was so fantastic. I will say that she and David Forsyth worked so well together; it was the only reason I watched Mayer's five months of storylines.  Thanks for posting all these SFT episodes. Boy, the Nicholson/Mayer time was a mess of some positives but mostly negative. I wonder if Mayer was hired by Ellen Barrett (or if P&G tried to get Labine and Mayer although I doubt the budget would have allowed for both) then she was let go for some reason; and/or if Erwin had months left on his contract with P&G after EON was cancelled and they placed him there before he retired. Losing Sheri then Lisa Peluso was the death knell for this struggling show. Mayer's circus story was inane.  Casting Michelle Joyner big miss; she was awful as was (and always after) John Loprieno. I don't know how that guy stayed employed on soaps for so many years. The positives were Joe Lambie, Lee Godart.  Louann Gideon was lovely but completely miscast as Liza.  Mayer fired four scriptwriters, only keeping Nancy Williams who went on to great work at GL for a decade then Passions.

Not her getting sad over the Febreze!
    • Today when Anita and Vernon were talking about Bill, they referenced whatever mystery thing he covered up.  This time, with how they worded it, it seemed to be a cover-up about *them*.  So now I wonder if it was something else *in addition* to the Martin secret.
    • She really got to me today. She's doing a great job making Eva a character you just can't help but root for.
