Once again, horrible week for soaps . . .

Y&R should rise more next week, since this week has been the best week the show has had in a while. Looks like B&B and GH are further deteriorating.

AMC, ATWT, and OLTL are all in the crapper, I guess that's the price you pay for putting on crap all week.

Also, Poor Days, the show can never catch a break from it's bad ratings streak. I don't care who tries to spin it, Days has been stuck in that #7 position for a while now, that's not a good sign.

So that's a +.2 gain for Y&R and +.1 gains for AMC, GL & Pass. All others the same.

I'm glad DAYS didn't drop to a new low (in HH anyway). I'm also glad the offensive Sami & Elvis scenes on Thurs/Friday got the numbers they deserved.

With the rumor that none of the overnights for OLTL for last week were over 2.2 it makes you wonder just how low some of those 2.3's are and how close to a 2.2 OLTL was. Sad thing is those numbers are better than they deserve.

Ouch.....and the bleeding continues. They'd better rush the big 4 on screen as soon as possible.

I will say this though....DAYS ratings have bled ever since NBC announced it would probably not be picked up after 2009.

I wouldn't be surprised to see DAYS fall behind GL next week. Look at the Thurs/Fri ratings for both shows. GL had a 2.1 and 2.2 (trending up), while DAYS had a 2.0 both days (trending down). If the trend continued into this current week, GL will surpass DAYS.

Corday's interview was nice but the ratings aren't going to rebound until TPTB give viewers an on-screen reason to tune back in. Last week was exactly the same characters in the same repetitive stories. Jack's return could have drawn a slight bump but it wasn't promoted at all and his scenes were random and anti-climactic.

I know that argument has been floating around too, I think that may have contributed to some of it, but not all. Not everyone knows that DAYS is going to be cancelled in '09. It also doesn't explain the transient rises the show had. The problem is the show itself. I think once it gets fixed the ratings will go up. If the show improves a lot and the ratings are still bleeding then I'd say that those viewers are not finding it worthy of investment.

If DAYS was as awesome as it should be and the news was contributing I think it would be hovering around where OLTL or AMC is not with GL.
