Watched it and loved it! It was *so* endearingly charming and I proclaim this show one that gay men and lovers of the fabulous will thoroughly enjoy. Vanessa Williams chews scenery with relish and is a HOOT as villainous diva Willhemina! And I love how the show parodies itself with one of the supporting characters addicted to a hysterical telenovela that is such an over-the-top parody of the genre. And the nephew (who's a little boy) is such a grown-up diva in training! The show is funny, campy, touching, and even has twists right out of a soap opera. I don't know what it's chances are against Survivor and NBC's comedies, but this is one that I predict is going to get a HUGE cult following, nonetheless. It's a nice pairing with GA and I'll definitely be watching again.

The show lived up to the hype. I love the old school feel to it. The spanish influence works in its favor. I loved it. I'm definitely going to watch next week.

I hated it! The spanish version is so much better! I don't see it lasting. But I know of a lot of friends of mine that were looking forward to it. The spanish version is a big hit!

I didn't like it as much as i thought i would...a little too campy for me...But i think it will make a good family show...i'm thinking the ratings will be pretty good..ABC gets lucky with their dramas lately..

According to zap2it.com, Ugly Betty won it's timeslot last night.

HH

Ugly Betty - 10.7/17

Survivor: Cook Islands - 9.6/15

My Name is Earl - 5.2/8

The Office - 4.8/7

Also of note: GA narrowly beat CSI again, but Six Degrees came in 3rd behind Shark & ER (which tied to win the timeslot).

I loved it. I didnt think it was going to be an hour though and I thought it was going to be a Friday comedy. I would prefer if it were 30 minutes but it is still a good show

It must be said: this was the BEST primetime show EVER! America Ferrara (Betty) is a REVELATION.

I nearly died when I saw her take the bait and model, while everyone made fun of her. IT makes me want to cry just thinking about it! But I loved how her boss (the editor) eventually stook up for her and now they have some sort of understanding; she helped him out by giving him credit for the Fabia idea since his father doesn't favor him and thinks he's an idiot; he gave her a second chance at Mode and now they seem like friends. I LOVE IT!!

Now the only question is, will they fall in love?!!!

OMG, this is the BEST primetime dramedy EVER and I am so happy it lived up to hype with ratings AND writing. MY GOD, it's amazing. BEST SHOW EVER!!!!

It's good to read these reviews. Everyone in real life I've talked to today have hated it! So, now I am more excited to watch my tape.
