The Great Ryan

He just keeps showing each and every single day how great he is and why everyone should trust him and bow down to his holiness but really he is that great ladies and gentlemen. Yep Ryan is the kind of guy who can turn a five a$$ed monkey into just having a monoa$$ and look like someone who is normal since we all know that Ryan strives to be normal in his everyday life. Now let's see what else the greatness of Lavery can do. How about sew back on John Bobbett's whack whack? Yep that is possible under the leadership and guise of the great Ryan and then he can also add on some Super Sperm to make him father more children and have people's mouthes drop down faster than Scott Peterson jumped a prisoner's remains to escape the evil dungeon that is San Quentin. What miracles the great Ryan can produce but now the greatest one of all would be for him to take a flying leap off the Golden Gate Bridge and then we all take pictures and make a collage as we celebrate his life at his funeral by taking a drink and toasting to how much more grand life is without his holiness butting in to each and everybody's business and can no longer be like Santa Claus and chant "Ho Ho Ho" to reflect on what kind of person he is

Eh, it's nothing surprisng. The reason I lost D&E was because David was keeping a "secret" from her. It's who Erica is. You either love it or hate it about her, and I love it. She's completely out of line, and there is no reason that she should know everything...but she thinks she should, even though she knows it wrong. It's only one of her many character "flaws" that I adore.

We can only hope, we can only hope. ;)

The real Erica Kane stood up today! I loved her going off on Jeff, Jack and especially Josh. She was so justified in doing what she did. And Babe starting to figure things out, FINALLY! Josh is such an arrogant jerk. Just when I think I can't hate him anymore... I loathe him and want him gone pronto. Alexander, release Kendall and go kill Josh, just for the hell of it .

I was skeptical of the whole reveal when I heard about it weeks ago but damn I am loving Alexander Cambias! He is so insane and Ronald Guttman has it down! I love the dialouge they gave him and how he was talking about Michael, his grand daughter. I was shocked when Kendall was naming off all his victims and skipped over Babe he didn't catch on.

Man this rocks! Ryan and the travelling stooges were annoying today. Yeah, its all Zach's fault. Morons.

Zach is so easy to blame  I loved the bit when Tad and Aidan found the hooker but Tad kept up this shows tradition of man handling women. Is this a McTavish thing? Since she seems to love victimizing women, why not grab them by the arm too. Every women has been grabbed like that on this show.

I knew Erica was still in there somewhere. Glad she came out to play at least for today. She's amazing when she's not Martinized, Montgomery Man Handled, and Fetus Fluffing. I missed her So much.

As for killing Josh, nope. ACS doesn't get that honor, I do. Bwhahaha. I told you all the fetus was nuts.LMAO You should start listening to me more oftne. ;)

Anthony Morina is Julie Carruthers' friend from Port Charles. He used to direct over there, so of course she would bring him in, just like she brings in Shelly Curtis every now and then who used to direct GH when JHC was supervising producer under Wendy Riche.

Anyway, Rebecca Taylor, the other thorn in my side, wrote today's script -- which was all over the place, with people saying the most idiotic sh!t.

Also, can AMC get their heads out of their asses? Why bother with making mention of security and cops if Ryan, Tad and Aidan save the day every single time? Why bother with law enforcement and security teams when Ryan and Tad can just overpower them at any given second?

Jeff needs to go. This character hasn't been on this show in decades, and for him to just come in here and start acting sanctimonious -- wait. He's a Martin, so it's his birth right.

Welcome to Megan's Gone Haywire.

This storyline is NOT making sense.

How is Babe suspicious because of rented equipment? Like every single piece of equipment is hospital owned? I don't care if JR's on the board. It makes no sense that she'd find rental equipment soooooo suspicious. It's not like hospitals don't bring in equipment they don't have or rent additional pieces of equipment. That whole plot contrivance was truly a stretch.

And I can't wait until Babe picks Josh, and then stays true to form and ruins his life followed by the obligatory affair with another man -- so that way Josh can stop with the redundant act of threatening to disown his family members if they don't read from the Babe is Love script.

I'm so glad erica finally told off josh. I'm so glad she tells tad/jr next week about babe being alive. So what if he disowns erica, shes better off anyway. I want josh and babe gone for good. I always thought there was a little hope for josh but after todays show its clear, there is no hope. His continual chosing babe over kendall is so pathetic, he doesn't give a damn about her, he just cares about the tramp. I really hope he does disowns erica, please do it, so I won't have to see you in any more scenes with her.

Josh doesn't get to do any disowning, Erica does. She owes him nothing. If she wants to cut her loses and tell him to go jump off a bridge, more power to her. Josh is just an angry stalker, who has no redeeming qualities. He has no grayscales. The only emotion I ever saw was about Greg, but it was nevr more then anger. He either needs to shut the hell up or go off to cry in another town. He's useless and he always has been.

I just loved how Erica...the REAL Erica stood up today.

Kendall...my poor Kendall. The girl knows how to handle herself in the situation. Alicia and Ron played off the scenes well today...excellent work between the two.

I hate how the "P.I.'s" are blaming Zach...why don't u stop pointing fingers and try to find Alex and Kendall??? That's a nice way for them to pass the time. *rolls eyes*

But I cannot wait til Erica opens her mouth about Babe being alive. Be ashamed, Erica...Babe will wind up right behind you when she finds out, too. LOL That will be a coup

    • I'm pretty sure Lucy and Bridget never even have another scene together for the rest of the time they're both on the show. Bridget isn't even invited to the wedding! The lack of community feeling and continuity of non-romantic relationships during this period is very jarring. Characters suddenly only seem to interact with a handful of other characters, rather than characters across the canvas. I'm deep into 1997 in my watch right now and find that it's even stranger because the show goes back and forth between ignoring history in order to manufacture some kind of separation between characters (for example, at one point Amanda refers to the Coopers as a family that the Spauldings "barely know," despite her and Alan spending the better part of 1996 going to war with Buzz over 5th street, and Alan has absolutely no reaction when he finds out about something bad that's happened to Abby, which seems pretty out of character given how close they were in 95/96) and ignoring history in order to create a sense of community that doesn't quite fit (characters who couldn't stand Amanda are suddenly acting all buddy buddy with her). The wheels really feel like they're coming off in 1997 (although I know some would argue that the wheels started to come off years earlier). Watching the Marcus/Dahlia romance again from a 2025 perspective is so weird. Marcus is a full grown man who must be at least in his mid-20s and he's dating a teenager who is not only still in high school, but is still fully a year away from graduation, and no one says anything about how creepy that is. I feel like the buzz around Marcus gave the illusion that the show was more invested in him than it ever actually was. Even during his "big" story where he's arrested for Cutter's murder, he actually doesn't appear on screen very often. He's imprisoned, Griffin is brought on, other characters make a fuss about trying to get him out, but there's a long stretch of time where he doesn't appear at all. I've been keeping episode counts while I watch and between Cutter's death in mid-November of 1995 and the end of the year Marcus/Mambo only appears 7 times (and of that only twice in December).
    • The letter reading was very emotional, and Maeve really got to me too. I was a little worried because Vanessa doesn't give a speech at the funeral, which surprised me, but then we got the private letter reading and her true emotional reaction and I was satisfied there. The YouTube channel I watch these episodes on (if not on our Vault), also had upset commenters talk about how Nola's line about Henry not accepting her at first/seen as a gold-digger was totally untrue. It's sad the writers don't do their homework and give fans the respect (and the characters respect). And yep, Bill got up and spoke at the funeral too, which was nice.  I didn't even realize that was Sharon Leal until you said it!  I had to Google it. I loved Sharon Leal in Boston Public back in the day haha. LOL at your Reva/Josh ALWAYS commentary. What is RME though?
    • Leslie is an extreme liar and manipulator. I'm not sure what her point was in trying to convince Nicole she wasn't trying to hurt her. As much as Eva did help orchestrate the entire plot I feel like there was too much piling on. Eva never said she wanted to be a Dupree so Anita was extremely out of line for that comment.

That's positive and something to look forward to for sure, because you're right, 1996 so far isn't nearly as good as 1995. Ohh - what is Lonatrat?  Sadly you're probably right. I did feel like David was rarely seen once Marcus came on. That would have been an interesting spin, having Frank and Tina be teenage lovers and Dahlia really being his daughter. I'm getting the sense that Tina won't be seen too much anymore, as she just left Dahlia with Frank/Eleni as she's heading to jail for a while. I like the Tina actress too!  Her voice sounds a bit like Rosie Perez to me, which I love. I tried to find her online, but coming up empty. This was the only thing I could find about Tina Crede - a character snapshot video with clips and stills of her (randomly starting just before the 1:00 mark):

That's wild that the David actor is nearly 40 here! Definitely surprises me.
    • 5-6   Meh. It already looks like a scattershot week.    5-5 was actually a good episode. Damian and Lily. Phyllis finally going on the warpath that I knew she could get on with Billy and Sally. Nate started to question Audra and Victor's alliance. And I was not even bugged by Kyle and Claire.   But then there's Cole's off-screen story. Kyle and Claire going back to being whiny. And them even wanting Adam's penthouse just sounded like trying to keep the set around. And Diane shouldn't even give a flying frak about Billy's opinion. And Tessa, Daniel, and the guitars...yeeeah no.   But hey...JM looked good in that short. And those pants.  I agree. One of Y&R's good points with fans has always been that you do at least see the vets. And IN stories.
    • One of the things that I found unnecessary and a bit disturbing about Ambitions was that in almost every episode someone was holding or shooting a gun.  Jamey and Ron seem to have the same fetish.
    • I had thought that there was a Tommy Biddles on there, but then I realized I was thinking of Dr. Biddles on Santa Barbara. Never mind!

    • I have watched the scene where Vanessa reads the letter and it's lovely, but I'm really glad now that I never got around to watching the funeral. Henry ADORED Nola! He treated her like a daughter and Stacy like a granddaughter. That's why Vanessa couldn't stand her. He was crazy about all the Reardons. He spent a lot of time at the boarding house. He and Bea--they never explicitly said it was romantic, but they certainly were loving friends. This sounds worse than Bert's funeral. I really did not think that was possible.
