I'm still surprised Roger Howarth was willing to play a rapist for the THIRD time in his daytime career. I realize "a check's a check" and all that, but I just hope he's healthy enough mentally to withstand the effects of such typecasting on an actor's soul.
Y&R fans who've watched from the beginning might be able to answer this question for me: when Chris Brooks was raped (by George Curtis, played by none other Anthony F**king Geary), was it clear in the writing that it was, in fact, rape, and that George's acquittal during the subsequent trial was a horrible miscarriage of justice? I know when Christine (back when she still was Cricket) was raped by Ken Olandt's character, it was pretty damn clear that it was rape. It wasn't like when Luke raped Laura on GH, or when Bill raped Laura* on DAYS, and then the show had to walk it back later.
(*Damn, girls named "Chris" or "Laura" ain't safe in daytime, lol).
