December 14, 200619 yr Member First you give criticize folks for giving their own assessment of the opening followed by your assertion above. Then you turn immediately around and say.... If you are suggesting that AMC "needs to do something" about those fast-flying pictures then you are also noticing something wrong with it, in your opinion. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ryan, do you think it's a function of just not enough room left in the opening for Carlson? Because I imagine he was signed back in Aug or Sep when Eden was. Just seems like they would have had enough time to get his opening shots ready. *shrugs* You're absolutely right. I did find something wrong with it. I just didn't understand the thing about Minshew's footage because it's supposed to have lines in it. Other than the pace, I saw nothing wrong with the whole sequence.

I believe he'll be added to the opening after his option is picked up. The main problem with the opening (those who didn't see anything wrong with it) is the placement of the new shots (and current ones), the quality of the new shots and the fact that it doesn't flow well at all. With every update the open gets worse and worse. Whether it's the shotty editing or lack of flow, something needs to be done. I think many were upset that they got rid of the second set of flying pictures which is like the only thing that set it apart from the other openings on ABC.
December 14, 200619 yr Author Member Ryan, any chance of you making screencaps. Cheap's are great, but I need some without the windows media player frames because I want to use them for my autograph postcards. I'd like to send out for them before Christmas break.
