I have to say though, despite the disagreements we've had over Shelle, I think my tune might be different if Jason and Kirsten were still in the roles. But now we have Martha and Brandon, two capable actors of turning Shelle from a simpering, too-good-to-be-true couple into a mature and believable couple for the next generation, I root for them. It also helps that they are being written as focusing on Claire first. Victor's plans are just too evil too psychotic, and have no basis in reality, even if it's a treat seeing John Aniston and Victor is not being written as a cartoon.

Oh my god….I feel weird…I am starting to “kinda” like Shawn and Belle. It just so weird. I guess the taint of Jason Cook & “Kiki” Storms is finally starting to dissipate. And more importantly, the writing for both of them is much better.

And boy, Victor is such a son of a bitch. I love it…so 80’s Victor! (I kinda get a vibe of the time Hope and Bo were living at the Kiriakis mansion on the 80s)

IMO Philip has always been Victor's #1 son and would go up and beyond for him...but would not do the same for Bo.

Considering the history between Victor and Bo, it makes sense that Victor would do something like this to Bo, despite the fact that he is his biological father.

In Victor's mind, his actions are only to benefit Philip and I think in Victor's mind AND heart, Philip is #1 and always will be and he wants him to be happy, NO MATTER WHAT the costs (and in this case it is hurting Bo).

I couldn't agree more and it is's the perfect justification IMO.

Today's show was amazing. Even better then yesterday as we had more action but with thd same emotion and character driven drama.

J&M were fantastic. The scene with Rico and then the police officer and Marlena's line about "rough amore"-priceless. This is J&M at their best and Deidre was amazing in that scene where she was appealing to John to let her help and when she said she loved her family and life. Great ending too with the elevator. Stick to the fadeout endings Days. They are much better.

Steve and Kayla had nice, romantic scenes and I also liked how they addressed the Billie situation. Good job there.

I actually liked Mimi and Max today. FF was tolerable but she didn't do a whole lot so that is probably why. I still want MABY though.

Belle/Shawn/Claire/Victor was awesome. Beemer really held his own and him and Martha sizzle and I'm not even pro-Shelle. I loved how Kate got the keys and my favorite part of today was the creepiness and suspense of Kate walking down the hallway with that music playing. Lauren Koslow and John Aniston rocked today and that scene when the door opened and she was reunited with Philip-I nearly cried with her. Awesome...can't wait to see Victor and Kate tomarrow. I would love to see them reunited.

Awesome show. This have been pretty perfect for me and really the two most solid episodes of the year as far as everything being pretty good. I hope it continues but it seems like Hogan has hit his stride.

Me too. It is too good right now to go anywhere and I agree with you-this is why I told everyone to be patient. This show is where it should be now and only getting better.

I hope the ratings improve sooner or later. This is the best time for Days to get good with the holidays and people being home so hopefully they get big gains.

I know some disagree with this but the way Days is now I do think if NBC canned it someone would pick it up. Someone might take the chance that Days in it's much better sate right now could do good ratings-wise with a lead in but we'll see. I don't know if NBC will be so quick to pull the plug. If Passions goes, then maybe but as far as we know Days was renewed through 2009. I know there was a goal for Hogan to reach as far as ratings but do we know when the deadline for him to reach that goal is? I guess I just want to think positive and hope that people tune in and the numbers begin to reflect the quality of the show. It is just amazing right now.

As ridiculous as SHELLE fans think my view is is exactly how ridiculous I think the SHELLE view of an obvious rape being romantic is, too. At the time Belle was engaged to be married to Philip. Shawn was treating Belle like dirt beneath his feet and really hateful to her. There was no love there. Believe me. I started watching in August 2004 and never saw one tender moment pass between Belle and Shawn. I hated him and the way he treated her, so there was not one ounce of tenderness or love in that scene. He was not unconscious. I don't believe for one second an unconscious man could get an erection much less ejaculation. He was aware. Obviously, he blocked it out though. I still don't like Shawn for that and don't know that I ever will.

Well, I'll give you one thing, Jean: it would make for some great drama. Hopefully Shawn was stoned out of his mind or something, in order to redeem him.

Loved the S&K bits, of course. I thought Kayla's feet on Steve's chest in the bathtub was all kinds of adorable and I loved her "I'd have to kill ya" response to "what if I had a wife and a gaggle of kiddies?" I loved how comfortable they were with each other and I like that she went right to the Billie stuff to get it all out in the open and over with.

I thought there was some good foreshadowing when Steve mentioned that once word got out about his memories returning, things could get dangerous. I wonder if he'll try to push her away when that happens? I don't see Kayla being pushed.

I have to say that Evil Victor kicks 48 kinds of ass. It's obvious he has absolutely no respect for Shawn and I can't say I blame him. (Although Jean, I gotta say your rape allegation just doesn't fly at all. If men can't get erections or ejaculate when they're unconcious how do you explain wet dreams?)

Eh, I was an anti-Shelle fan at that point in time, and even I didn't think there was rape involved on any level. Like most everyone else has said, it was unconscious behavior on BOTH parts. Unrealistic? Yep. A stretch? You bet. But rape? Not even CLOSE.

Same here. There are a lot of times JER would utilize and necessitate unrealistic logic to push his plots. But we have to accept the way he wrote them. As written, Belle and Shawn somehow got it on while unconscious. Not a rape.

Something about the current cast and more serious treatment of the story makes me more on their side too. I'm still not really pro-Shelle but I'm not in any real way against it. Some people still begrudge it its origins and I can understand that but I can't agree with it. What I wanted was for them to improve, and they did. I have to admit that I got what I asked for, more or less.

Thus far. I still think they shouldn't get together for a while.
