Smallville: Discussion Thread

Okay, this whole Clark-dumping-Lana thing in the middle of season five is as stupid as hell. What a lame way to end a romance, writers. Ugh. I actually WANT Lana to go to Lex and have them find out all of Clark's secrets.

And yes, it's true, they seem to be amazing through half the season, then they get a bit boring in the remainder.

<span style="font-size:120%;">The 200th episode of "Smallville" ruled 8 p.m. Friday night, while NBC's latest reality effort was one of the night's lowest-rated shows. "Smallville" (3.2 million viewers, 1.3 preliminary adults 18-49 rating) was up 18% this week and matched season highs. The lead-in also helped "Supernatural" (2.8 million, 1.2) grow 33% to be very competitive at 9 p.m.

I'm glad the 200th did so well :)

so who's expecting the CW to prolong Smallville for another year?

even though this is currently the final season...

...Warner Bros should be making millions with DVD sales, syndication, international sales

I'd be okay with a spin off - Metropolis :) With a full-fledged Supes and more of that future we saw!

Never happen, but hey, for me it's a nice dream.

I have a gut feeling they're doing to do a "7th Heaven" and say the show is cancelled and then the finale will get such good ratings they'll decide to bring it back for one last year

"Homecoming" was so good! That last scene was perfection ("I love you" "I love you too"......floating dance!!). Between this episode and the last episode of Vampire Diaries, they're about the only two shows that's doing romance right.

Loved Oliver's interview too: "Well, why not? He saw the hero in all of us. I'm not dwelling on revenge for past atrocities, or looking ahead to what I can personally gain from a few tax breaks, drilling oil wells in the ocean, putting up razor-wired fences to keep out immigrants who only want what our grandparents wanted. And this world of armchair bloggers who created a generation of critics instead of leaders, I'm actually doing something. Right here, right now. For the city. For my country. And I'm not doing it alone. You're damn right I'm a hero."

I'm not even near Season 10 yet (just finished up Season 5), but I'm glad it's good quality-wise. I guess it's something to look forward to.

Now, back to Clark being the Phantom Zone...
