I'm still crying....

September 20, 2006, 11:25:08

over the fact that one more of my treasured castmates has permanently left the building. I have been dreading this day, but alas, these days seem to come around anyway.

Working with Kyle Brandt has been both a privelege and a pleasure. He always brought a good chuckle out of me (even on my worst days), and he always delivered each sentence with complete conviction and committment. Oh my god....I'm soooo sad!!!! He made the funniest speech today after his last scene. Everyone was cracking up, and he managed to mention the funniest moments and aspects of working on this show. It was, hands down, the most memorable farewell speech I've ever heard. Leave it to Kyle to go out with a bang! I swear he has such a future in comedy! KB...if you happen to see this....I miss you already and can't wait for your next installment of the "Hate List"!!

I am hearing that we will have a new face on the character of Philip pretty soon. Don't know who yet, but after working with Brandon for a week or so, I have complete confidence in the casting department.

Next item of business....On Monday, September 25th, we will be hosting an online auction here at MMO. 100% of all the proceeds will be donated to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. We have many exclusive items for bid including my first Emmy dress. Many people from the cast (past and present) have donated personalized items as well. All the photos, details and starting bids will be posted here on Monday. The auction will only last 2 weeks, so don't wait too long to get your bid in. Remember, this is all for charity (and one that means the world to me). Thank you Mallory and Terie for helping me with this.

I hope this message finds everyone happy and healthy. Thanks for all of the wedding advice. Keep it coming.

Much love, MM

I could cry reading that, too. I loved Kyle Brandt and saw him much clearer than many do due to his being so much like my nephews. He is a professional and he will be very good at whatever he decides to do if given the right material. I hope he gets the right stuff his next time out.

Martha was great with Kyle and I'm so happy to read her tribute to him. I hope she gets a wonderful new leading man or contemporary, too.

Thanks for posting this.

You're welcome. Btw. I've always liked/loved Kyle the person too.

These past few months I have been very impressed with Kyle so I will miss him. I just love Martha and it was so nice for her to post this. I would love to hear his speech somehow-he is quite the character.

It sounds like Brandon Beemer is doing good and that a Philip recast is coming pretty soon. That is very good news.

Kyle is great... I'd love to read/see/hear that farewell speech. Martha must be so sad seeing the three actors she's been in almost every scene with leave one by one.

Kyle is definitely a funny guy, I hope he does well. He is definitely doing better than other RW alums doing endless challenges.

Kyle is hilarious, I love his Myspace page. He has been really good these past few months, and I will miss him. I hope he continues to be successful. From what Martha and Kyle have said about Brandon, I'm anxious to see him come Monday!!!

Speaking of MS, I just found out tonight that someone I've known for several years was just diagnosed with it, and my mom's doctors thought she had it but now they say she doesn't.

Get over it, Honey!

Byebye, peg leg! Two months of goodness doesn't make it up for five years of badness. Sorry.

It wasn't his fault. He had rotten material to work with besides being dummied down to build up Shawn which didn't work at all either.

How can anyone NOT love this girl for ending her blog this way? Martha is such a beautiful, thoughtful, classy girl. How old school and charming. Love you, Marth! Stay sweet. :)

I hear ya, considering Jason Cook was awful as well. Now that's one person I won't miss when he's gone.

Why should she? One of her friends left and she is sad about it. She obviously cared for Kyle very much, it's only natural what she's feeling now.

While we're at it. Shall we talk about Jason Cook and what an amazing actor he's been all these years?!

Btw. It wasn't five years. Not even close.
