I also like how Luke put Alan in his place about Alan's lack of parenting skills. It was funny.

Yeah, but the writers did that to age LuLu. When Laura was around and LuLu was played by the brunette toddler, Luke was there.

Let me just add, I remember when Laura told Luke that she was having another baby and he was happy. I also remember the scene when Laura gave birth, and while at GH both she and Luke were happy to have a baby girl. At that time Laura thought that Leslie was dead, so while in the hopsital she told Luke that she wanted to name their daughter in honor of her mother. It was a very happy scene.

Flash a couple of years ahead when Luke and Laura broke up, he still loved and adored Lulu even though she was 3 or 4. This is the little girl with the black hair.

So the writers only made him a bad father where LuLu was concerned to aid her becoming 17 overnight. They changed history to accomodate the story line.
