VF, I thought you were skipping! Well, the way it is with soaps, is that if you need to take a break from your show, that is what the heck you do!! Any of you who are on a break, have fun doing something else with the time!! @carolinegIt's preposterous. It's as preposterous as the idea that a Parole Officer would force Ben & Ciara to have Clyde move in with them. We're talking not only not relatable but not in the real world! This is some screwed up universe somewhere unknown where absurd phenomena keep happening! However, I like having John & Marlena be snarky to IT! I take my small pleasures where I can get them.

Stefan flashback to signing divorce papers Stefan being nice to Chloe who has stopped by to return the things from their pretend beach yesterday Stefan keep them, a gift Li on the phone to Rolf, hearing about Gabi with the scalpel at his throat & him telling her the truth & then him doping her with CRS17 serum Li furious he told truth & doped her Gabi comes in dressed like a black cat (Ari's to be a cat also but without ears because it messes her hair.) Stefan says he has been thinking about Chloe & it's nice she wanted to return the sunglasses & beach shirts but he wishes she'd come to see him Chloe says she thinks he wants a girlfriend & she is not that & it wouldn't be fair to let him think so Kristen to Marlena Don't you think I can tell you're sneering at me? Marlena This is Brady's home & for some reason he has invited you here without notice I might add. John & Marlena alone again - She says she is BAFFLED! Why he brought that horrible woman here. Nicole tells Eric that they just called, loved the prints & need more pix immediately. (Which is why she called Chloe to take Rachel to town.) At Horton "Scare" Stefan hugs Chloe (No idea why?) Brady sees that & he looks so sad. Show is over.

I think it is imperative that DOOL rethink their writing philosophy with some strict ideas about the sci fi, fantastical, over the top, stuff from Buried Alive through demonic possession, including Frankenstein resurrection, Mission Impossible makeover masks and then do a serious look at uber-villains & massive kidnappings & hostage takings & serial killers. At one point the show did some of this some of the time & did real soap the rest of the time. That proportion is completely out of whack now. If anyone says "revisit" it better be something like Aremid or a grand love story or 5 siblings & not anything SF/F or at all hokey! And, I think, further, about all soaps, that the networks did something great for themselves for profits when they pushed the 60 minute expansion on the shows but that the half hour format had actually been better for the creativity & life of the shows. I don't know if hour soaps can be turned back into half hour soaps, though. I don't know if you can get there from here.

I have it in my head to try to come up with a canonical list of characters that the Dobsons created. I realize it may be impossible. But because of it I do random reading about them on different trips down the rabbit hole. Yesterday I hit pay dirt! No new characters, that would be hitting gold. Instead I found out what was underlying the double lawsuits. So, we knew that they wanted to fire Anne Howard Bailey & she had a contract clause that only NBC could fire her. Absurdity ensued. But, one more step, WHY did they want to fire her? Here's why: "It was impossible for Anne Howard Bailey to get inside my head, and I could not get in her head. I am frankly enjoying the show. I figure they still are bad at balance, pacing & use of personnel. Other things are okay or better. Dialog continues to be good. I can go along way with good actors who have good words to say as long as none of the stuff I hate is making me tear my hair out & that's not happening! Nicole looked great! I have huge appreciation for that!

It is & was always common that actors' "people" tried to separate them from their daytime backgrounds.
