There are so many great ones & so many great ones are already shown here. Is there a Best Catfight thread? I am partial to one slap in this clip. Donna slaps Vicky & then Vicky slaps Donna back. And, we know because Anna shared the information, the 1st slap was scripted & rehearsed but the 2nd slap was totally impromptu on Anne's part, so Donna's reaction is special. Happens pretty quick, about :20. One of my top ten slaps is not on a soap although it is a soap actress. Constance Ford in the movie A SUMMER PLACE slaps her daughter so hard she knocks over the Christmas tree.

Does anyone really think they were romantic? I took them to be strictly a green card relationship. If I remember it correctly Cass even considered having a sexual relationship with her but decided not to.

She was amazing one day last week when she finally got in touch with her anger at the same time that Austin was there, at the studio. Maura really likes to stay in tight control, and play nuanced, and this was the furthest I'd ever seen her go out on that limb expressing absolute rage. Very exciting to see. To me she was so good as Carly Tenney on ATWT but Ava Jerome on GH is just the role she was born to play!! This past 2 weeks I feel like we've seen Emmy reel material from 3 women - Maura, Finola & Ari!

I just watched The Doctors for the first time since I was a teenager & it was thrilling to see "The Sin Stalker" as Steve Aldrich & "Donna Love" as Tony but then most especially, after the end credits, one line voice-over, "Stay Tuned for Another World in living color!"

Today is Nov. 20, 2023 & it is an important day in soap opera history because The Colbys premiered on Nov. 20, 1985, on ABC primetime & ran until they were canceled on Mar. 26, 1987. It was a spin-off from Dynasty & its working title reflected that, Dynasty II: The Colbys. The creators were two husband-wife teams, the Shapiros & the Pollocks with Aaron Spelling as its producer. Its regular night was Thursday night at 9, before 20/20 and after The Fall Guy. But, its first outing was on Wednesday night at 10 right after the regular broadcast of Dynasty. For its first season, '85-'86 it averaged a 16.0 rating & was the 34th show overall but it was ABC's #7 ranked show. People who were talked about for the cast included Faye Dunaway, James Coburn, Doris Day & Ricardo Montelban and more some of whom did show up in the core cast who were: Charlton Heston, Barbara Stanwyck, Stephanie Beacham, Katherine Ross & Tracy Scoggins. It was set in LA & in the story some extended family members from DYNASTY were in CA. Jeff relocated & he ran into Fallon who was married to his cousin Miles. A fierce rivalry grew up between the cousins. Ricardo Montelban was in the cast. BREAKING NEWS! There is a YouTube channel THE COLBYS: THE COMPLETE SET. I know, I mean, "the cop & the doc" were legendary. I've got a quote where they were #1 couple after L&L, although at the time both Genie & Tony were on breaks from GH, but, still, ... I am right now watching episodes from when Wayne & Dee came back in 1991. So far there is no sign of RealRoman acting like a jerk. I just watched the RealRoman reveal to the Brady family in October & it was amazing drama! But, in fact, I'm up to mid-November, chronologically on my RealRoman investigation & project. They tell me if I keep watching long enough his writing will make him behave as a jerk. We'll see.

"Dropped a dime on" sounds like someone tattling on someone about something no one knows they did. So, no, that's not what I'm suggesting at all. You can believe it or not, which is fine. But, 1. The perception is that RH was phoning it in. 2. Maura is known as someone who does not tolerate anyone giving less than 100%. 3. I am sure she will continue to have the same positive reaction to & about him in public.

Years ago RH didn't have Maura for a scene partner.

Well, what's being said, not from a network POV but from a studio POV is all about RH phoning it in, all the time, for some time now & people's ... er ... negative reactions to that. People who have the work ethic perspective that one always gives 100% no matter what. Me, my theory, is that he wasn't happy with his writing. But then, maybe I'm just trying to make excuses for him.

Sheri did declare herself FiCore status but we don't know if she went to DAYS or if she went to GH or if there was some other project. I thought she was at DAYS because at that time Deidre posted a picture with her but it turned out to be from several years back. Yes, I understood where you were coming from. I watched it. Okay, yes, Gil did attack Ava & suggested that she stop fighting & that she might find that she enjoyed herself. She pretended to consider that & relented fighting & then pulled a gun on him. He said he didn't believe she would use it. She shot him. So, it's not exactly as you said. But, sure, in the ballpark.

Because of the Beverlee petition I am regularly involved in gobs of discussion & commentary about both Iris & Alexandra, but more about Iris. Anyway, this one guy says he remembers Iris being on her hands & knees, begging Mac & he can't find it to re-watch it. Do any of you recall a scene like that? I admit I do not. (That's why I haven't really been talking about Iris here because I'm kind of up to my eyeballs. And, I'm too busy & I'm on auto-pilot all the time & I really hate that.)
