  1. Well, Charles & Victoria routinely rewrote their scenes. And, Victoria wrote some for the show, whole storylines. I don't see how it would be them. They were so involved in the writing that they'd be happy with it, if you see what I mean. So, what do you base your opinion on?
  2. If I understand it correctly, two things happened during the first demonic possession storyline. Less than half, but say 35-40% of the then loyal fanbase left & never returned. But, approximately that number & definitely a bit more came in new & they were easily 15-20 years younger than the ones headed out the door. As to where those DAYS fans went, a lot, a whole lot to GH. Some to AMC.
  3. Bonnie Burroughs has just finished playing Gladys on GH. This week I was startled to see her playing Gretchen in Nov. '91 DAYS. I found a beautiful picture of her at that time.
  4. My #1 criticism with a bullet! Great days! AWFUL Days! No In Between. #2 - Ron really meant it when he said not to take anything seriously. Unfortunately if you use that as a litmus test, you quickly run into problems. Demonic possession? We're just joking. Okay. But: Woman in love with her rapist? We're just joking. Uh-oh.
  5. It was an excellent sign that Eric said initially he was skeptical because of Melinda Trask's involvement. When the time comes for him to have an AHA moment, I think we can count on some inner something. Once he is really in love with this baby I hope it falls to him to make the difficult decision. Oh, I see, you think Eric is not smart enough. To me he just seems terminally easy-going & also easy to please.
  6. Well it's crazy that they keep to a Sweeps schedule, but they do. So, it could be a February sweeps story, split the difference. 6 months would take till May Sweeps.
  7. CG, I have this duality in me. Like I don't like catfights because I think they ultimately just demean everyone. But this other part of me picks the Generations catfight where they nearly destroyed a room & celebrates its being the best! So, I dreaded today, just terribly, but another part of me is celebrating the fantastic Emmy reel Ari's got. But, it is terribly sad. With this being Nicole's miracle baby, it is so unfair. As only life can be unfair.
  8. Last year there was a guy who uploaded several weeks of Aug. 1967 DAYS to YouTube. After about a month they all got pulled & he either stopped uploading or had his account pulled or something. But, I was able to see Julie #3, Susan Hunter & David Martin beginning with Julie telling her boyfriend David to marry her former best friend Susan because she's pregnant with his baby & the plan was that they would divorce later & David & Julie would get back together. That pregnancy turned out to be little Dickie who was being watched by David, supposedly, and who fell off the swing & broke his neck & died & Susan lost her mind & killed David & went on trial, and, this Bill Bell tale went on & on. That & Bill raping Laura are the two first stories I remember. So, right now I am doing what I call a Real Roman Project but right now I am fascinated with Marlena's 1991 hair!
  9. Of course the other point of view is that many people watching today were not watching then. I'm a lifelong DAYS fan but I wasn't watching then & I don't think I could be getting more out of this than I am. But, I do get that to you something is missing.
  10. I don't understand why this baby switch would resolve quickly. So what if Leo knows the truth? And, what would make Eric suspicious? The whole set-up is so fantastical & out of the realm of anything anyone would think of ordinarily that it seems to me there's little reason for fear of capture.
  11. Sure could be. Not my locale. Don't even know where it was originally taped from. Not that it matters. I just made a note of it because of the great record keeping going on in these threads.
  12. I was only looking forward to Ari's performance today! I knew it would be the top of the pyramid! And, even with that expectation, she surprised me! I was totally blown away. Hers today is the BEST DAYS has shown in years, years!! And, Dan was right there with her. I even congratulated Scott McKinsey on today's directing. Man, oh, man, I am 180 from where I usually am after tuning in Peacock. Today is the day to be a DAYS fan again. I literally posted to Ari on UglyX & to Scott on my forum & I am headed to IG to holler good things at Dan. They all deserve as many kudos as can be given.
  13. Thanks for checking that. I knew it was a Monday because the day before was the 15th, so, the Friday before, etc. I remember my mother saying that Addie née Horton Olson Williams was pregnant with Hope for 19 months because of subcommittee hearings preemptions & then had my own share of them & I absolutely love not having them for DAYS anymore!
  14. I just got through uploading 2 full episodes of DAYS Nov. '91 & there was a brief glimpse of a BREAKING NEWS screen during 11-18-91. The day before was 43:12 & that day was 35:21. So, when you get here, this is waiting for you. Just adding a drib or a drab of info.
  15. No surprise there & at least it makes sense.
  16. Okay. Thank you for that correction. Unfamiliar with that usage of the word Legacy.
  17. Aremid was in Illinois?!! Wow. I completely missed that.
  18. Classic DAYS, 11-15-91, RoMar, Wayne Northrup, Marlena with the biggest blondest hair you've ever seen.
  19. DAYS Writing Team, down 8 writers, up 2 Mon. Brkdn Writer Chris Dunn Daily Script Tues. Brkdn Writer Jamey Giddens Daily Script
  20. I'm shocked, I tell you, that you didn't mention that the Script Writer of the Day was Jamey Giddens! Yesterday it was Brkdn Writer Chris Dunn & today Brkdn Writer Jamey Giddens. Well, the Writing team is down 8 writers & up 2 nepotism hires, for a net loss of 6 writers, so they are putting these people to work - is it double duty, you think? But, about the show, did Melinda seem diabolical to anyone else? And, was I the only one who felt like "shades of Rosemary's Baby"?
  21. No, not really. At least not what was just being referred to. But, other things, yes, EW & SS were both women TE was with & then there's 2 other wives.
  22. Thank you. I knew they had an arrangement where the ideas came from him but she executed his wishes. It is good to see how the credits read at that time. That was some deal that Betty Corday worked out! She was a consultant on Y&R and Corday Inc. owned 1% of Y&R. I have great admiration for her, also for PFS.
  23. Bill was still the story consultant with Days into Spring 1978, so he was still on the Days payroll until then. Jason, what was Pat Falken Smith's position between 1975-1978?
  24. I call KRAZE #2 Blaze, who usually does not write songs, wrote a love song where she's in love with someone she cannot tell! And, Hallelujah! No more Mr. Scruffy! Thank God Ned is back. Unbelievable that Olivia created more obstacles to the truth coming out. But, I like the matriarch in her.
