Day of Days 2023
Thanks. The question was rhetorical as I knew without a doubt that it was Matt! And, in fact, it only takes about a half hour to go from much hair to little hair & from bearded to clean-shaven. Now, the reverse, yeah, that takes time! 🤔🙄😮🥴😉🤣👏

Day of Days 2023
Is that Matt Ashford on the left? Just 2 days ago I saw a pic of him that was supposedly current (HA!) with a great deal more hair & a full beard.

I could've told you that it was April 12th. I find I disagree with Wikipedia, and also IMDb, fairly often. And, Patrick Mulcahey told me that his information is so wrong on both of them that he gave up on trying to get them to get it right, after some effort on his part. I have corrected both on Beverlee McKinsey & star billing. It was arduous getting it to happen I have corrected a few other things. I tried to become a regular editor on Wikipedia & their process was so entangled, so bureaucratic & so very time-consuming that I just QUIT. And, I am not a quitter.

Days of Our Lives: November 2023 Discussion Thread
For tomorrow's anniversary I turned to Maureen Russell's book & wrote about the beginning of the show. I was going for "feel good", great memories, what a legacy, yeah, I held it together until I was pleased with the words & added a picture from the first episode & then sent it on its way & then I just felt so let down. What we have now is so fracking far away from their dream that it was like being gut-punched. OOF!

SOD is ending it's weekly print edition
This is along the lines of "End of an Era" and "Good Memories" Recently I went to the Locher room videos & watched & listened to Stephanie Sloane, of DIGEST. Great chat! For starters, she remembers being in her crib & her babysitter watching EON & seeing the opening on the TV. That's amazing to remember something from that young! As a child, she also remembers AW because her mother watched it, so to her, it was the background of what was going on. As a teen she chose AMC to get into, Greg & Jenny, Angie & Jesse & then when they had the jet ski death, that was it & she gave up AMC. She switched to DAYS & became a BOPE fan! Next she checked into GH for the L&L wedding like the rest of the world. In college, she studied Film, Radio & TV. After she interviewed at DIGEST Meredith called her to tell her she got the job, that same day. The GL Editor Donna Hoak taught her how to be a show editor. For her first interview she was to do Ian Zierling, who was about to be on this new show Beverly Hills 90210. He had a friend from the show with him & asked could she interview him, too. Breezily, she said she sure could. That turned out to be the first interview with Luke Perry! Her first show assignment was AW. AH!

Thanks! Exactly what I needed to know in a nutshell, quick as a flash. That web address just became a keeper.

Ratings from the 80's
Never heard of that site, so I have not. I just discovered it today. I asked Bing Chat a question about primetime ratings for a show in 1975 & when Bing Chat answers a question they offer a few websites as reference. This was listed.

That resolution to pending issues left on subscriptions is likely to satisfy no one & to be totally unsatisfactory to some.

Just curious, have any of you ever looked at this website to determine how accurate they are? http://www.thetvratingsguide.com/

Well, of course, when JFP was EP she spent several small fortunes. The new block set where downtown was the hospital, the cop shop, Carlino's Restaurant & the newspaper. Then a whole new opening, both video & audio. Lots of new photography to go along with the ER/NYPD Blue look & feel. And, then besides the millions spent, the writing had to change because everything had to take place on the new set. At the time, most of us could not imagine where that money came from. With GL, when they did not have the money to spend, Conboy created that baseball diamond set! And then because of the new production model, they had to spend money on cameras & editors & sound equipment, etc. Also, it's fascinating to me that they are mandated to cut the size of the cast to save on salaries, but then they create new characters!

Well, Charlotte's been put through too much. I know it must've registered with her that something was wrong when she had contact with Victor, was shuffled off to boarding school, could talk to "Papa" on the phone but not see him. Then, staying here & there & being 15, which is a horrible age, sure I get that Charlotte would be a handful under the best circumstances & instead her circumstances are that AWFUL letter & the special tarot. Agree about his parenting choices. And, he got Nina to cover up a crime for him, for Charlotte, & not say a word to anyone. Then, same code of silence with Laura.

Thanks. I see. I know there was something about Linda staying until the end, too, once they learned about the cancellation.
