  1. I'm clinging to the fact that it was Jill in charge when GV last got "treatment" from GH. Praying he has no reason to blame Frank. Love2Hate Drew seems multiple choice: redemption or discovery of his not-Drewness which means they've got Drew tucked somewhere, probably where NotBritt has been kept. I have only one thing to say about JJ. Clearly he has a future in PR or politics. Who knew he could tell a tale so well?
  2. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/chris-robinson-dead-general-hospital-bold-and-beautiful-1236262445/ Rick Webber joins Leslie Webber & Monica Quartermaine How many soap stars does Heaven need?
  3. I am so dismayed. Our Jason Frame has passed.
  4. Yes, I knew that she had been on prior. I was just speaking about today. But, never a problem to go over info!!! Oh, I see, I erred in saying this week/last week, so especial thanks for the fix.
  5. There's been no official notice. Finola let it slip at an event that it would be this summer, but that's not turned out to be true. An estimation: I believe we are looking at the fall for Monica & no idea at all about Lesley. Apparently they are intent on it not being overshadowed by anything else & also apparently that was their MO in scheduling both Sonya & Jackie memorials. So, I am trusting that they know what they're doing & trying to be patient. YMMV. And, yes, I know you might not want my educated guesses. Sorry, best I got. I am unaware of any hard data.
  6. I, too, loved Isabella, beginning, middle & end & in a way I think I've always given Brady some grace because he was all we had left of her, if that makes any sense. LOL. I've always loved her, not necessarily liked her. I don't even want to consider how awful it could have been! I just finished watching today's DAYS & it's the best day so far of all of the past few weeks. And, Peter Reckell was the best of the day although the letter Eric read from Sami was so wonderful & written with such care & attention to history & insight into the at times rocky relationship between Sami & John. Brady brought humor by doing impressions of different John eyebrows & his impressions are dead on. Probably a controversial opinion & not one I expected to have but Dee has been the weak link. Possibly just too hard for her. Overall, though, so well written, directed & acted. Glaring in their absence: Julie, Maggie, Will. All present last week but MIA this week. EDIT TO ADD: About Deidre: I believe she is intentionally playing herself very stiff & close to the vest, as if she's afraid if she doesn't she will break into a million pieces & not be able to stop absolutely going crazy And, yes, I am weeping again.
  7. I haven't cried yet this week. Last week I started crying when Carrie arrived & just kept on.
  8. Yeah, right, they've got Cam playing Love2Hate Drew in extremis & they're not gonna play that hand out?!!! I figure they use the prison beat-down for a redemptive phase but only when they think they've wrung every possible drop out of this absolutely odious every day villain they've created!
  9. Respectfully agree to disagree. We had 4 episodes with original flashbacks integrated well into contemporary scenes that were sweet, romantic, that resonated, that hit all the possible nostalgic chords & that shows me the writing team not only cares for these 2 characters but that they were really excited about writing for them. And, we also have the quote from Korte/VanEtten beginning of the year-ish that they considered Lucky & Liz a foundational couple for the canvas. I thought Lucky's saying he didn't think he'd stay once she turned down his marriage proposal to be good character motivation. I also thought the idea of some summer travels with Aiden supports character integrity. Going by his exit interviews, what's left is people & logistics/scheduling, etc. & there's no way a writing team can anticipate an actor taking an out in their contract ahead of time. They have to deal with it, in the moment, when it comes up & likely it's going to make a bit of a mess to whatever they have sketched out in the long story thrust.
  10. I had a driver taking me to Infusion the other day & we were talking about soaps. She was out of touch but had been a CBS fan, from TPIR, all day till Oprah. Telling her about BTG. What network? CBS. When: 2pm. Is it between ATWT & GL? Oh, girl, you are so behind. So, she was appalled when I briefly brought her up to date BUT she remained interested in hearing more about BTG, so that was a plus. Last weekend I got a haircut so it is the way I like it, short & spiky but of course it's purple. Recently, I was waiting for my ride outside the Infusion Center & a woman comes up to me, about my age, short spiky hair but all white. She raves about my purple hair & says she is a pancreatic cancer survivor & purple is that color (which I knew) and she is thinking going purple but doesn't know where to start. So I tell her about Splat, no bleach req'd, easy, etc. & she's getting excited & my driver pulled up, & stuck her head out & said, Donna? & she had purple hair, too! I felt like we were in a purple vortex. It was both lovely & surreal.
  11. We saw Hope, with Bo, where she revealed John's death to him & he immediately wanted to leave for Salem & we saw the two of them talk to a doc or an admin about whether he would be allowed to be discharged yet. Someone, maybe Will, talked to Sami on the phone and at the airport Sydney had taken a fall, sounded like she was on a moving sidewalk, and had at least 2 breaks & was scheduled for some kind of orthopedic surgery. Since it is clear that Sweeney cannot or will not be available, again I say it is time to recast. Wasn't Carrie lock-step with Belle the whole time? In general I thought all of the eulogies were both good & appropriate. Yes, Paul touched me like no other. Loved Abe. I still miss previous Little Rachel but for the first time new Little Rachel also moved me. And, amazingly, I am caught up again. Whoopeee!
  12. That is a very lovely thought!!!
  13. AGREE. IzzyB stupid? Any examples spring to mind? It's been many long years back but I recall her being pretty astute about the men in her life, for example. She didn't take a lot of crap off of powerful men. Also it seemed to me she didn't suffer fools, at all. Now, Brady, sometimes he seems to be like the Scarecrow, no brain installed, other times he possesses smarts. But, honestly, he doesn't resemble anyone he's related to, IMO.
  14. Well, a good idea but what if he changed it to Spencer? For Bobbie.
  15. There's a sweetness about him, also he just feels like a real person, he possesses this authenticity.
  16. I hate that jokey hokey music. I guess everyone does. Hating the same things & people give us solidarity!!!
  17. Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3. Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up. Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
  18. “Gender is who you are, and sexuality is who you want.” — C.N. Lester, “Trans Like Me: A Journey for All of Us” St. Pete bridge lit for Pride
  19. In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
  20. Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
  21. Always, in every way, Cass/Wally/Felicia foundational to my viewing. And, I think if we look at the aftermath of the disastrous 90 minute show that we find too many pockets of some kind of lost time at the show plus way too much of change-ups in exec & writing leadership and of course we also reach the first time it becomes notable that NBC wants to get rid of the show so they can put a new soap they own in the timeslot.
  22. You're right. People like me who stuck with her, did so because of her history. The show just skated her along with no story, no goal, no aim. Right again! This is who I forgot before. When you describe her, it makes me appreciate her more. Thinking back I loved Mandy.
  23. @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa. About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.
  24. I agree with you about rules & regs but, frankly, choosing between retirement & working uncredited, come on, we know what she'd choose & she'd be right to do so.
