I'm really disturbed by the Democrats who don't care about completing the investigation. Cuomo is an [!@#$%^&*] but he still deserves investigation.

I've said all along that Manchin will eventually support doing away with the filibuster but he (and Sinema) need to be shown that they were "forced" into it.

The far left always needs a woman to hate. Whether it's Sinema or Neera Tanden, the left was birthed in Hillary hate so they can't function without a witch to burn at the stake. Kyrsten Sinema is not the enemy. Neither is Joe Manchin. If/when that changes, I'll recalibrate. The COVID relief bill is basically our New Deal and this one doesn't leave out Black/brown people.

It's amazing to watch people on the left talk about who won't be showing up to the polls in 2022 or 2024 as if everyone lives on Twitter and nothing could possibly happen in the interim that would affect how and why people vote.

We'll get there. I suspect that the plan is to get the Rescue plan passed and let people start seeing the benefits then pivot to the VRA and probably an infrastructure plan. That's when the filibuster will go.

I wish that people understood that retweeting trolls like Greene, even to dunk on her, only gives her what she wants.

I agree with you. I believe that at this point Trump is so delusional and cognitively impaired that he's just living in a dream world. Losing the election probably cut the last cord tethering him to reality. As for Pence, I expect him to start a church or lean into fleecing Evangelicals in whatever way he can. Although I'm not sure how Evangelicals feel about Pence now that he didn't overturn the election.

I know that a lot of people don't want to think about his but we've seen enough reports that the insurrectionists had all kinds of information. Some of these suicides, and the ones we will undoubtedly see in the future, might be because of guilt at involvement. More proof that we're in a whole new world.

The administration is handling this very well. They set up theme days. (I think today is climate change.) Then they drop a bunch of policy then they send out tweets like that one reiterating what they accomplished in one day. His Comms team is top notch. This is how they avoid the "Infrastructure Week" style jokes from the previous admin.

Except these aren't people who are arguing in good faith. If they got $2,000 they'd demand three. Give them three and they'll demand that there be retroactive payments. The goalposts always move because the whole brand of the left is that nothing is ever good enough. If they want it to be another $2,000 then write a bill for $2,000. It's not up to Joe Biden, it's up to Congress. Biden put forth his plan but Congress actually has to write and pass the legislation. What's really pissing me off is that these are people who are always talking about how they want to help the poor and working class but they've completely ignored everything in the plan that does that like the increase in unemployment insurance, eviction/foreclosure moratorium, increase in the EITC, funding for schools so that people can send their kids back safely, increase in SNAP, etc... all because they want to be performative on Twitter.

I don't mind pushing the trial until after inauguration, that means Schumer will be Majority Leader and Ossoff & Warnock will be two more votes for conviction. Also a LOT of info is going to come out in the next couple of weeks about this attack and the people in the GOP who supported it.

I'm so sick of hearing about these cowards and their fear. As if decent Americans haven't spent the last four years having to fear MAGAt friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers that the GOP radicalized. I have a friend who married into a MAGA family and he's too afraid to even tell them he voted for Biden because, in his words, "they'll shoot me in the back of the head."

I think McConnell has flipped because corporate America turned off the cash spigot. This is now money vs. MAGA and they will need the money in 2022.

I have to admit to being conflicted about these reports. For years we've watched cops gun down and torment Black people without hearing about them feeling "a sense of failure." On the contrary, they practically take a victory lap. So why the different reaction here? I'm not claiming to know but I think it bears some examination. Was it because these people all claimed to "back the blue?"

That's what I mean. These are people who think government is a reality show and don't have any real interest in governing. They want to tweet and do press conferences.
