Weird to be discussing Y&R in a Days thread but anyway...the last mention I have of Peggy is Stu telling her she should return to college in Denver in Dec 77 after her mom's death.Pam Peters hd been recurring at this point.

A June 82 newpaper item stated a location shoot in Finland for Victoria Wyndham was planned and then cancelled due to budget issues and 'cast resentment of those who wanted to travel but were left behind'.

On The Doctors, Dr Edwards (76) was played by Frank Spencer.

I wonder why RH signed Micheal Hawkins as Frank.By his own admission he had been fired from LIAMST and ATWT and had a breakdown after that.I guess Frank was originally only going to be seen in a few flashbacks and when ABC said they wanted him to live, they took a chance on Hawkins. Didn't history repeat itself and Hawkins erratic behavior cause him to be fired again?

I vaguely remember someone (Goldensoaps,Danfling??) asking a while back about the actress who played Misty in 1981.The performer was Mindy Seger.

Kathryn Harrold had a one day stint on HTSAM as Larry Kirby's secretary before joining TD as Nola.

Don't know if this has been mentioned before but Bernard Barrow tested for the role of Seneca and was then asked to test for Johnny.He then was given the choice of which role to sign on for.

Was recently watching a 1981 episode posted on We Love Soaps that featured Tina Sloan as Olivia and Vana Tribbey as Alice.Tina brought way more presence and vitality to her scenes which made me wonder if she should have been cast as Alice at that time. Maybe the character would have had more of a chance than with Vana and Linda B in the role.

Judging by that review and the ratings we didn't miss much!

For its time it allowed an easy identification for America's working girls, but it needs revision for today's world. The episode viewed took a half hour, let brother Ed steal a fete backs from the cookie jar, brother Mac tells how he was ready to marry a girl he met one week ago. and Stacy Lee Bella and Carter Hamilton II to dance and moon. The poverty -stricken writing was completely devoid of interest. Ed, for example, was after the family budget money. His attempts to fool this brother were ridiculous And obvious to all. Miss Balla and Carter are supposed to represent society. This they do by wearing riding boots and jodhpurs, judgment as to acting is very difficult when writing is so poor. However, as the maid, Mae Barnes is completely lacking in the ability to relate to other actors. This show needs sharp improvement quickly. Leon Morse.

When Y&R was getting off the ground John Conboy offered Beverlee McKinsey a role. They had worked together on LIAMST but Bev decided to accept a contract at AW after initially recurring as Iris. Can't think who Bev could have played on Y&R?
