Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Maybe Nene is changing tack with regards to getting Marlo on RHoA. Instead of pushing the friendship angle, she's pushing the "we could be a really great rivalry" angle to get Andy to bite. Alternatively, maybe Nene and Marlo did have a real falling out. Maybe Marlo got too thirsty about possibly joining the main show and it got to Nene. Maybe Nene watched back the IDoN episodes and is jealous at how much good editing Marlo is getting. Maybe she's jealous of all the buzz Marlo has been getting recently. Who knows. The outcome is still the same -- Marlo needs to come to RHoA to stir [!@#$%^&*] up. --------- For some reason this morning, I watched the first episode of the first season of Real Housewives of Vancouver. THIS show was what the RH was all about. The luxury cars! The clothes! The houses! The locales! What an amazing show it was and what a shame it had such a messy nervous breakdown in S2. Getting rid of the sane, down-to-earth Reiko was a big mistake as she would have anchored the show after Christina's departure. Plus she would have had a great SL in S2 -- divorcing her husband and falling in love with a female DJ. Jody was a great bitch before she went full-on psycho sadist, Ronnie was the stunning Queen Bee, Reiko the emotionally together can-do HW, Mary the sweetie pie and Christina the raucous, hedonistic good-time girl. The fact that Mary and Christina became such good friends (on paper you wouldn't think they would) was even better -- it pissed Jody off so much. And the Ronnie-Mary dynamic was a psychiatrist's wet dream. I liked how they had so many events, travels and we got to see their families as well. This was the creme de la creme of the RH 'franchise' and unfortunately, its demise serves as a lesson to Andy Cohen about not letting the in-fighting on these shows get out of hand. I wonder if he's even aware of this show. And Christina -- one of the best HWs ever. "Vancouver's a gold-mine. And I love to go digging." If she ever showed up on RHoNY or BH, oh my god....

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
MAMA ELSA!! She's back! I missed her. She makes Marysol more interesting. And Mr. Patton and her have reconciled? Cuteness. I love old people in love. The only thing that worried me was how depressed she really seemed and her seeming denial that she had a stroke. Alexia and Peter's issues are really interesting. Yes, maybe it is TMI for TV but at least it is real and not manufactured drama. Peter is so effed up but I am starting to feel a little sorry for him. He identifies himself with his mobster dad and so does Alexia in a way -- the vibe between Alexia and Peter is, uh, interesting. And very different from the one she has with Frankie. No Lea?! And I'm starting to not really care about Lisa anymore. Isn't that awful? Lauren looks great as a woman and should really join the show. But that 'bachelorette party' -- oy. I love Adriana but burning that dress just proves she did more than have a quickie, hush-hush wedding at Town Hall. I can kind of see why people have abandoned RHoM, even though I enjoy it. Viewers can smell fakery a mile away and 80% of SLs on RHoM feel totally faked as opposed to partially derived from reality as they do on most other RH shows. And the Romain/Joanna scene capped it all off. I think I saw more of Joanna's ladybits than her ob-gyn at one point. So much for wanting to protect her image like she told Adriana. Romain is insanely hot, but that scene was just a big, fake tease. OT but in Joanna's VT where she has that lion mane of hair, she looks a-mazing. Adriana looks fab with her hair down in her VT, too.

I would agree that both NJ and NY need to go -- or NJ cancelled and NY 'rested' until the magic chemistry that was Bethenny, Alex, LuAnn, Jill and Ramona is erased from our collective memories. And Miami will probably be cancelled -- ratings are ratings. I am just bummed to be backing a losing horse. I love Adriana, Lea, Mama Elsa, Alexia, Karent, Lisa, all of them.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
That is devastating to me. That POS RhONJ is still pulling in +2 million viewers and Miami can barely get 500,000? Miami, despite some of its flaws this season, is making my life right now. Plus Mama Elsa is back in this latest episode (which I am about to watch now)!! I am just heartbroken at the possibility that we may not get a Reunion or a Season 4. Or maybe even the rest of the episodes.

I knew I liked crazy Camille Paglia for a reason. This is exactly why I love the Real Housewives -- and her aim at today's Daytime soaps (with the possible exception of Days) is dead-on. I hope BH's lead-in eventually gives Miami the bump in ratings it needs and deserves because it is one of the better RH franchises. I have been glued to it.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
It sucks about the low ratings because RHoM is in the top 3 of my favourite HW shows. I'd even put it at #2 after BH. In some ways I more invested at this point in Season 3 than at the same point in Season 2 when it was almost too many supporting players. Like Thomas Kramer and a lot of drag artistes fighting and it was kind of exhausting keeping track. Also, while I like Ana a lot right now, last year her SL was boretastic. This year they have gone too far in the opposite direction and cut too much. I miss the housekeepers and mothers dispensing good advice. Mama Elsa having a stroke was terribly bad luck as I pretty much watch for her first and foremost. Still, I think Miami remains very viable with its current cast and, in some ways, S3 has allowed me to appreciate Lea Black and Alexia's SLs more whereas last year they sort of got lost in the shuffle. Like I said, i still love these HWs -- which is more than I can say for NJ.

I am watching RHoM right now and holy [!@#$%^&*], Joanna's LA home! It is absolutely stunning and I can only guess that next to the Waltons house she has in Miami, this LA [!@#$%^&*] must be rented. Loving Lisa, Joanna and Mama Jolanta. Thus far, this is shaping up to a fun episode. Alexia, oy. She's still making excuses for Peter but even she, now, hears how hollow they sound. At least she is (kind of) owning it.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
That's where I saw it-- on Reality Tea. Though they were just quoting the Star report. I'm no fan of Gretched but this girl makes things happen on the show and it would be rash of Andy to dump her. After all, she is no Toxic Jill Zarin. The dynamic between her and Vicki is especially interesting; it's like the one between Stephanie Forrester and Brooke Logan on B&B. They are a lot more alike than they imagine.

Star magazine is reporting that Alexis and Gretchen have been fired from OC. Then again, it is Star magazine... I'd give more credence if it was In Touch!

I don't know... the clip they showed of her, wasn't she shouting at Ken?! Not something Lisa would likely forgive very easily.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I have been obsessed with RHoM and this season is no exception. However, I have to agree with you that the blame for cutting down the number of HWs and, perhaps more egregiously, ramping up the fake drama should be laid squarely at Bravo's door. This 4-year secret wedding mess was either something Bravo knew about and actively encouraged as a "storyline".... or Adriana totally blindsided them with the news, which came out after Bravo had decided that Adriana's wedding vs. Joanna's wedding was the way to go this season. I personally think it is the latter. Think about it -- the promos were all about Joanna waking up from the nightmare of seeing Adriana at her wedding... but thus far there has been NO Adriana vs. Joanna interaction. Instead, it has been all about Adriana trying to tear down Lea and trying to detract attention from her marriage fakery. And it has only made her look worse and even more sketchy! Bear in mind, Adriana is the Kyle Richards of RHoM in that she was the one who lobbied Andy Cohen to get a series done in Miami. She was a fan of other RH franchises and wanted to star in her version. So she perhaps dreamed up the Duelling Weddings scenario, sold it to Bravo... and then got caught out. The editing is making Adriana look so bad, I have to believe that it is not just Lea but Bravo that is pissed about her hiding her marriage to Frederic. At the rate she is going, Adriana is turning into another Adrienne and could get her ass kicked off the show. This would probably break her heart because she is so invested in being a RHW.

That's too bad. There is more truth ("troof") on that website than in the entire show!

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I thought it seemed plenty dark... Yolanda going into hospital, fighting with Ken, Brandi saying that Lisa was essentially blackmailing Kyle and Mauricio, Brandi going cray, Lisa inhaling that cigarette at the end... damn. That final image did it for me. I will of course be watching avidly -- but I am very nervous. Yol-Lisa-Brand are now definitively broken. Not sure what to think of the two newbies -- the freaky witchy lady and the Stepford wife. But from this promo it seems clear that this is Kyle's world and everybody else just lives in it.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Ugh, I know that is frustrating. Luckily, it is all in your head and once you sleep on it, it will probably come out better than the one before! Adriana is rocking my avatar (I have stellar timing) but those scenes were so contrived and it just makes her look worse and worse, and spiteful. Lea is playing this so well, but even I could see the strain on her face when Adriana walked into her son's birthday party. Can't wait to read your opinion on Lisa, Lea and Alexia, Lisa and Adriana's boys. I really liked the family-centric scenes this last episode.

EEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! And how many HWs does BH have now? Seven?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I haven't watched RHoNJ in four episodes now. I don't miss it right now and don't feel compelled to watch... and this used to be my fave franchise before BH came along! Maybe I'll tune back in ahead of Reunion but that, to me, says that perhaps we should stick a fork in NJ, because it is done. Do a "Teresa Goes to the Big House" spinoff if she's really that viable for Bravo. As for the Caroline spinoff, I can't think of anything more boring. For two-plus seasons, the Manzos (who actually used to be funny) have been rammed down our throats, pimping one failed 'business' after another. Now an hour-long show with ONLY Caroline and the kids? Sponsored by BLK Water, MallFace and Fine Dining at the Brownstone! Yeah, good luck with that. RHoM was less intense than last week but I loved Lea's sons birthday party. In fact, all three boys -- Alexia's Frankie, Lea's RJ and Adriana's Alex -- come across as super-sweet, well-adjusted boys, and that birthday party felt like a real kid's party and not something choreographed by one of the HWs (side-eyes BH's Taylor and the pony). I LOLed at Lea making Lisa, Joanna and Alexia sing Happy Birthday to poor RJ. As Lea said "RJ is too young to appreciate how good that really could have been." P.S.: Where is Juniorz and why is he not posting about Miami?!

Nene kicked her shoes off to get down with Andy! I think that Nene must be Andy's closest friend out of all the HWs. I know he loves Kyle and Lisa out of BH, but Nene is like his soul sister. He just seems to adore her and is always quite tactile with her. Nene's got longer hair for this season, it seems. It also looks like she had a partial/very light face lift in pictures 1 and 2.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
OMG! Thank you so much! I honestly thought one of you would just point me in the direction of YouTube. That was amazing! Nene OWNED Kim's ass -- poor Wig "in the Bahamas" (snicker -- uh huh. Right) couldn't get a word in edgewise. And Andy's face was a picture throughout. One of the best moments (apart from "Close your legs to married men! *clap clap* Close your legs to married men!") was when Nene said "We both gonna be sitting in jail together, smoking our Newports, trying on wigs..." and Andy interjected "...And Bravo will be there, filming it for Season 3." I gave up RHoA partway through last season, but this is kind of making me want to watch the new season. In other RH-related stuff, I am rewatching RHoM Season 2 reunion. I feel like so much drama and shifting alliances are stemming from what went on at reunion. And again -- why was Karent fired?! This chick created so much drama! My Adriana is so crazy, denying all this stuff she said, even though she got caught on camera saying them. I can't help but love her brass, though. She is a pitbull!

That sound you hear is Jill Zarin's SCREAMING. And I'm going to say it. I'd rather have Toxic Jill back before that crazy dingleberry. "Shhh. Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh." Remember when she did that to Alex at S4 Reunion? She drove me to blind fury the way she talked down to her.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I wish I could read more of the blogs! But it's a question of not having the time, and the fact that Bravo's site acts funny in my browser and sometimes crashes, so I just give up. But you are right, if they are going to focus on drama stemming from what was written in the blogs, the show needs to actually mention it and even quote the offending blog posts. Ana is not any thirstier than anybody else and I personally enjoyed her coming after Lea because it creates some real drama. I just wish it wasn't all clouded in mystery -- like there was stuff that she said at Reunion that Lea had legally blocked and therefore Bravo couldn't air it?! Am I right in thinking that? I would love to hear about that! Ana is in a position of weakness because she is no longer a main HW and therefore doesn't have a big platform on the show to explain/defend herself in VTs, talking heads etc.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
NBA, I didn't know because I never read the blogs. I thought it was basically this unprovoked attack where Ana just decided to pick on Lea's kid. I wondered why she used the term 'socially awkward' as it seemed kind of random. Bravo made sure to air that quote from Ana out of context so that she looked like she was saying "my girls are exceptional, your kid seems backward." If someone said that about my child... I don't think anybody is a saint on these shows... certainly not Lea and her dodgy husband. In the latest episode, though, they are making it look like she's being picked on. Blame the editing team over there, not me! Las Cubanas are not coming off well, and my fabulous Adriana getting caught in a lie and changing her story is not helping.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I loved the bit when Lisa, Joanna, Karent and the drag queen ran to the ladies room to mess around. And yes, they were looking fab. So was Lea! Las Cubanas were really sour in their leaky little disco bus. The pressure they exerted on Alexia for going to the Gala -- I haven't seen that since Middle School. I usually like Marysol but I am losing respect for a woman who dresses up her mama's maid in a sari, call her a "psychic" and has her infer that Lea Black put a curse on Mama Elsa. As for Ana, she looks like she sucked on a vat of lemons, she's so bitter. After the way she attacked Lea's little kid for being "socially awkward" at Reunion -- I just can't with her. That was so low of her. Who's next? Is she going to attack Frankie for being "socially awkward," too?! Little children should be off limits when these dumb hos are fighting with each other. I did LOL at Taylor Hick's face when Lea was screeching and hollering in his ear about her rented diamonds. Lea speaks to everybody like they are partially deaf. I do love her rocking out to Flo Rida, though. Adriana is so sketchy, lol. It turns out that she and Frederic filed a joint income tax as spouses a YEAR before they were supposedly 'secretly married but not married.'

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Miami felt like Season 2 RHoM last night -- two drag queens (Lauren Foster and that thirsty Lancaster heffa), Las Cubanas all reunited, including Marysol and Ana, and my girl Karent looking SPECTACULAR at Lea's gala. Karent, WHY aren't you back on the show?! Then it could be Adriana, Marysol, Ana and Alexia vs. Lea, Joanna and Karent with Lisa in the middle. I have to feel a bit bad for Lea -- I love Las Cubanas (I kind of wish I was Cuban-American!) but they are ganging up on Lea for no reason except (prob) that she's powerful and not Cuban. Lea's gala was a bit of a damp squid... I can't help but think that Lea's social star is waning and she knows it, too, but she plasters a smile on and some jewels and just sails along anyway. She is no saint but she is kind of being targeted. Alexia not coming to her gala was a cowardly move. She could have at least sent Herman along since he's the big auction bidder. Lisa has been showing a cattier side in her VTs. Hmmm. That may come to bite her in the ass at Reunion.
