Talking Dead did very well in the demo also, 3.0. I think this is its highest ratings. I think that it was all due to Hershel's death and Scott Wilson's appearance. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2013/12/04/sunday-cable-ratings-the-walking-dead-wins-night-talking-dead-soul-train-awards-real-housewives-of-atlanta-more/219569/

Good ratings, but I thought it would do better. Anyone who did not watch, missed a great episode.

Clearly, I did that and do that all the time with the whole show or I could not enjoy it as much as I do. Anyway, to reiterate my original point, I have no problem with them killing Judith if she is dead.

I saw that Carol & Carol/Daryl fans were having a meltdown over Daryl's reaction when Rick told him all over TWD forums and blog sphere. Part of that is the problem with 'shipping a couple that does not exist and the other is not seeing Daryl and the other characters on the show as they are written. Daryl was clearly upset and angry that Rick banished Carol, but he was never going to turn on Rick or the group. He certainly was not going defend her actions and did not rather he opted for denial saying, "that was not her" when Rick said that she was not sorry. As a man, Daryl is far more like Rick, Hershel, Glenn, and Tyreese than Merle, Phillip, and Shane. He was never going to "understand" or accept what Carol did any more than he could with Merle. True, but there is an extremely high maternal and infant mortality rates in those circumstances. Even if Judith had survived the birth, I would have expected her to underweight and sick, not pink and healthy as she turned out.

Phillip got winged. Rick was more far seriously injured by the bullet. We saw Phillip kick Rick in his injured leg. Regardless, it is clear that they wanted Michonne run Phillip through which would not have happened if Rick had easily won the fight.

I wanted the walkers to eat Phillip, but I have no problems with Lily killing him him. Kirkman said that he did not want Phillip's death to be satisfying by having on the group get their vengeance and he succeeded there with you and lots of others. I don't mind if Lily survives, but I don't see how she could have. Rick is not an idiot. He went to talk to Phillip to stall, to buy them time for Daryl and the others to set up their defense and save as many people at the prison as they could. Why do you think he nodded at Daryl and told Carl to shoot. Rick knew there little to no chance of saving Hershel or Michonne although he offered himself in exchange, but he had to try. I am sure that he had a small bit of hope that he could reason with Phillip or convince his people to stop the attack, but he was hoping for a miracle if only to save his people's lives. I mean, Phillip was never going to just let them walk away from the prison.

Because Rick had been shot in the leg. RME.

My thoughts after the re-watch: Where is Michonne? I expected her to pop up behind Rick when he was reunited with Carl. Tyreese went after the two girls who I am sure were going to find the other two children. If Judith is alive, she is either with Tyreese and the children or Michonne. Phillip thinking that Lily was coming to help him, only for her to shoot him dead was classic. I noticed that one of the walkers stepped on a king from a chess set. The writers' way of saying the wannabe king is dead. Alicia was wrong, it was not too late. She could have taken Tara and run away. I would like it if Tara is alive and hooks up with one of our survivors. I am think that Lily is dead. Either the walkers killed her or she killed herself. Two months! I will miss the show desperately until it comes back.

Re-watching, I hope that Tara survived. She was the only one with any moral compass in that group. Yeah, Tyreese ran after those four children. I wonder if they hid Judith away because they were dragging her in the carrier. It would explain why they were running in the opposite direction towards where they hid her. Rick's final line, "don't look back, Carl, keep walking" was a hard ending.

Lizzie is crazy as hell. She is what Carl could have become without Rick's parenting. I would not be surprised if Lizzie kills her sister and everyone in sight. BTW, let me just say "I told you so" that the kids learning to shoot would be more useful than learning to use a knife.

Amazing how I have gone from being annoyed by Carl to absolutely loving him. Farewell, Scott. Hershel will missed. Sunday February 9th! How can I survive that long?

Now that I think about it, Tyreese could end with the two older girls, the two younger children and Judith. Lizzie and her sister were probably running back to find the younger children who were hiding with Judith.

I hope that someone takes the time to stick Hershel's separated head.

Also, once the shooting started, Phillip's group started to shoot back, but there he was crawling after Hershel to finish taking off his head. The man was a lunatic. It always cracks me up when the few people talk about what a good leader he is. Really?!

Michonne did seem to get away very easily, but Phillip was crazy so once he focused on killing Hershel, he forgot about Michonne in that moment. I think that you cannot rationalize Phillip's actions because he is crazy as hell.

This was an outstanding episode. It really built up the tension to the final fight. Watching the group scatter to the winds was also heartbreaking. I have no problem with them killing off Judith, if that indeed happened. It was unrealistic that the fetus could have survived given Lori's poor nutrition during her pregnancy. I would have had Lori and Judith die in childbirth.

WTH, is wrong with this board? I cannot even quote. This really ticks me off. Anyway, Chit, I think my first instinct about Judith being dead is correct based on Kirkman's cagey response. You are right that they can only show so much. From the beginning, I thought that the baby should have never survived.

The bus drove off with Glenn. The girls did not make the bus. They ran the other way and Tyreese ran after them. I bet they end up reuniting with Carol since he does not know what she did.

Is it possible that Judith is not dead? We did not see her in the In Memoriam on TD. Daryl was also badass using the walker as a body shield.

I think that we will never see Yvette on TD again.

I am glad that they were not graphic about Judith death, but it was a good decision to let her go.

Oh, this is so sad. I would be surprised if we see Lily again. I am sure that she was eaten by all those walkers.

Yep, i was right about Scott being the surprise guest. This is going to be a great episode. I will miss my Hershel.

Don't kill him Lily. Let the walkers eat him alive. Damn, that was an action pack crazy good episode.
