The Masked Singer
Not to get TOO political in a thread that's not supposed to be about politics, but it strikes me as...well...interesting that the GOP routinely accuses Hollywood of corrupting the rest of the country with its' "loose," liberal values; when, in fact, I would argue that the film, television and media industries have done more to normalize and glamourize Republicans than anyone else. And Rudy's appearance last night on TMS is merely the latest example of that. And, of course, here we have someone who has aided and abetted our former leader in a multitude of sins - including the likely irreversible corrosion and perversion of our nation's supposed, core principles - being celebrated like a king on national TV, and who are the ones cheering him on the loudest? The white, female judges. Parker Molloy was right: we really have failed as a society.

Dallas Discussion Thread
Constance McCashin (ex-Laura, KL) did the same thing, refusing to give permission to the show's producers for the use of her face and voice in clips after she was let go, and even refusing to participate in cast reunions, too (although she did show up with the rest of the KL cast at the 2009 TV Land Awards). Apparently, CM was livid that they let her go in order to cut costs - and you know something? I can't say that I blame her for feeling hurt about it to this day. She, along with Julie Harris (ex-Lilimae), who was also let go for similar reasons, were part of the backbone of KNOTS. There were other actors in the cast who were way more expendable. Losing CM and JH, along w/ Donna Mills (ex-Abby), crippled the show in the long run. That might have been one reason why DALLAS (and KL) stayed on as long as it did. CBS itself was in such bad shape that any hit show on their lineup, even one that was fading, was better than nothing. Nevertheless, I tend to agree with @Soapsuds. All four of the major primetime soaps - DALLAS, DYNASTY, FC, KL - overstayed their welcomes and needed to go sooner than they did.

DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
Thanks as always, @JAS0N47! So, there was a time when Doug's Place/Blondie's AND Shenanigans co-existed? Just shows to go you how far DAYS has fallen budget-wise. Today, if it ain't happenin' in the center of Horton Town Square.... It was moved to @Soapsuds's basement. (I'm kidding, SS!)

Seriously, WTF is that? His tux makes Calliope's wedding dress look tasteful and demure. Beetlejuice would look better than Leo. Richard Bloore is trolling our asses and it's pissing me off! It looks really stupid for EM and GV to hand their hands in their pockets simultaneously. Just saying.- Dallas Discussion Thread
Leonard Katzman must have been royally pissed at Victoria Principal for leaving to come up with an exit that heinous.- The Media/Journalism Thread

I've said it once, and I'll say it again: it'll be a long, long, LONG time before the Academy allows another person of color to produce the Oscars.- 4/18/2022 Weekly Preview Promo
They would if they hadn't spent so much dough on Leo's ridiculous tuxedo.- Y&R and B&B April (and late March) spoilers
Nah, I still think Ashland's the one who killed Rey and he's just framing Victoria.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos

So much of the Rey/Chelsea and Ashland/Victoria storylines and how they will intersect feels so clumsy to me. Has Josh Griffith truly forgotten how to write a story?- 4/18/2022 Weekly Preview Promo
Seriously, why is this show still pretending Chad isn't at least bisexual if not totally gay?- Looking back...Primetime Ratings from the 80's
I think "Alice" and "The Jeffersons" stayed on maybe a year or two longer than they should have. Man, this is taking me back. So many shows that I remember watching every week. I miss those days of TV a lot.- As The World Turns Discussion Thread
Corbin Bernsen was certainly a looker BITD. But he actually started on RH, not ATWT.- Dallas Discussion Thread

With any luck, he will be. But I must admit that I've had this idea of Sharon shocked to see Dylan again -- not just b/c he's back in GC, but also because he's put on a ton of weight since he entered the Federal Witness Relocation Program (with the explanation that he's been working at a bakery). Dylan would hope he and Sharon could pick up where they left off now that the people who were after him have been caught and/or killed, but could Sharon look past his physical changes and rediscover what she once loved about him?- The Spin Off Thread
And then you had Jean Louisa Kelly, who had the personality of a jar of mayonnaise. I tell you, those four (Clark, Kelly, O'Malley and Snyder) were LUCKY to be on a show that ran for six episodes, much less six seasons. I don't remember too many of the details surrounding Burt and Loni's breakup. I just remember it being very messy and sad; and I worried, too, how their son, Quinton, would be able to handle it all as he grew older and inevitably became more aware as to why his parents were no longer together. - 4/18/2022 Weekly Preview Promo
