Dane & Robin were dating and she hated he was fired which made it difficult for Mark Arnold. Then we he quit because of Teen Wolf (1985) success, they killed Joe off. A waste of potential on a character- Santa Barbara Discussion Thread
A discusses how the show was failing in its first three months and blamed it on the show's lead, Dane Witerspoon who was playing lead role of Joe. The show recast the role with Mark Arnold- General Hospital: November 2022 Discussion Thread

When Ciara returns full-time it will most likely be a recast. VK may have agreed to do a few months to a year but I mean by full time a 3-4 year Contract. When taht happens If she is still with Ben, I see that role being recast as well.- General Hospital: November 2022 Discussion Thread

He said it in one of those zoom reunions and the way it sounded was like: I'll go back to GH for a minute and help them out. I am like WTF? Didn't sound like he wanted to do it- Characters that should've been recast
Jacob Young did say once he would be open to playing Lucky again but only recurring or short-term Lucky can and shuld be recast esp if JJ has no intrest in doing the character long-term- General Hospital: November 2022 Discussion Thread
Jeff Hasnt been seen in 4 decades and he was always wishy washy especially with his women and the week he left in 81 he didnt beliebe Diana about PJ but after she died and got a DNA test, he left town with his son. Seemed rush So 40 years later, Jeff is a blank slate and a cheater who IMHO was more into being a doctor than being a dad and sadly seems his Wife Carolyn felt/ feels the same. Hopefully they still pop up cause I want to see more fallout from this. With Rick we saw him on screen when this theresa crap supposedly happened and there is no way Rick would have pulled all that Could have been worse. Guza/Pratt wanted it revealed he sexually abused Laura in the attic. The actors held ground and said no so they did the cheating route Also Guza/Pratt were Scriptwriters on GH in early to mid 80's. They wrote for Rick. They new better and didnt care.- Degrassi Reboot Ordered

This Jeff Webber story is not the same as Rick Webber's Attic Story return 20 years ago. Jeff hasnt been in town over 4 decades. He has history but he's basically a blank slate and this stuff with Reiko happened when Jeff was off canvas Compared to Rick where the cheating with Theresa and Laura accidently killing her happened in 1978 when they were both in PC, is a total re-write and character assianation of Rick Webber- General Hospital: October 2022 Discussion Thread

Here is another article https://www.fangoria.com/original/exclusive-bryan-fuller-tells-us-everything-he-can-about-crystal-lake- Friday The 13th Series: "Crystal Lake" Direct to Series order at Peacock
Both Miller and Sean S Cunningham are producing this. So they can use anything. It states so in the link I posted where Fuller states its more a pre-remake than a prequel- Friday The 13th Series: "Crystal Lake" Direct to Series order at Peacock
Seems to be according to Full a Pre-Remake series not a prequel - Santa Barbara Discussion Thread
