Just watched the reunion. It was good. They all knew the show was trash but they enjoyed making it. Some jokes about repeating the same dialogue every day for months on end, with Galen mimicking wanting to shoot himself in the head.

My mind immediately went to Tad and Dixie. I was pretty young and in school but I vaguely recall someone pointing out that blood was dripping down Dixie's leg. They might have even shown it. The fact that we never got to see them experience a pregnancy and birth as a couple after all they went through is pretty sad.

I was reading the SON article about Port Charles' debut 24 years ago and I suddenly remembered the controversy surrounding one of their openings where out of the entire cast Jamal was the only character with his name displayed all in lowercase. You had EVE, LUCY, IAN, LIVVIE, jamal, RAFE, ALLISON, etc. Does anyone remember that?

Wow all of the acting (include Louise Sorrel's) is awful in the clip. And their son looks about as old as the two of them.

I could never get into Days. I just thought every character sounded and acted like an idiot. Still do.

Not sure if this is common knowledge but Tonya Williams (Olivia, Y&R) auditioned for Drucilla. She purposely tanked the audition because she didn't want to perpetuate stereotypes about black people by portraying an illiterate runaway. Bill Bell then created the role of Olivia for her, apparently the way she spoke and carried herself helped him develop the idea of their sisterly rivalry.

Adam at the end of this clip (4:20) is so delightfully over the top yet scary. I love him so much. Also Ruth Warwick truly can't go a scene without looking at the camera or her cue cards.

When did the show first establish Pine Valley was in Pennsylvania? Because I was watching an episode from 83 where Tad is trying to set Jenny up with a friend of his after her breakup with Greg and Tad says his friend just moved there from Pennsylvania.
