DAYS: June 2025 Spoilers
Okay from the dialogue in Friday June 13 episode, the party for Steve (which airs Monday June 16) is a dinner party at the Bistro on the same evening as the funeral. Kayla goes to the funeral at the church garden, then goes to the wake at the pub, then goes to work at the hospital, and then goes to dinner at the Bistro, all in the same Salem day! Per the June 13 dialogue, the June 16 dinner at the Bistro is a retirement party for Steve, since he is retiring, and shutting down Black Patch. The retirement party for Steve Johnson is a device for the writers to have the characters exchange memories... for an episode to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Steven Nichols' first episode.

DAYS: June 2025 Discussion Thread
FYI, Maggie was at the funeral, per dialogue and wardrobe, per Friday June 13 episode, She was at the funeral in person, although she was not shown onscreen. She talks about it and Marlena (to Sarah). I'm not going to comment on Friday June 13 storyline development, out of respect for those who are spoiler free and haven't watched yet. Just saying that this episode mentions other characters who attended the funeral in person but offscreen. Friday episode is still the day of the funeral, and the episode shows what some characters did after the funeral and wake -- later the same day. However, even though it's the same day, there's very little funeral stuff discussed. It's mostly other storylines. The Horton house scenes yesterday Thursday with Julie, Jennifer, Hope, and Jack... seem to be afternoon and extend into the evening of the funeral day, since Jack and Jennifer went to bed early. **** edit to insert -- I think that Jack and Jennifer are only resting/napping and that it's not nighttime yet at the Horton house. Anyhow, Friday's episode picks up in the afternoon of the funeral day -- for the rest of the characters as a "meanwhile", as we see that shops and offices are still open. We learn that Stephanie, Alex, Maggie, and Sarah each attended the funeral in person, even though they weren't shown there onscreen. Stephanie, Maggie, and Sarah are each wearing black, and, in separate conversations, each mentions the funeral. Alex is wearing a generic suit, but we know he was at the funeral because Stephanie thanks him for attending it with her. Stephanie is shown in various locations with various people, still in her black dress. Jada is wearing a dark-colored top (not sure if it's black or green?) but she doesn't seem to have been at the funeral, per her dialogue with various characters in various locations? I'm not sure, so maybe she was there? Belle arrives at the police station to do some D.A. work, still wearing her black funeral dress. Jada is surprised that Belle is working! And Belle replies that she needs the distraction (so at least the writers explain why Belle is working on the funeral day). Jada and Belle start discussing cases. Belle is also shown in the square. ShawnD is still wearing his funeral suit; and he interacts with more than one character, but I won't say here what locations, or what he says/does in this episode. Just that I think his scenes are worth watching. Kate is at the hospital to visit Philip (Roman mentioned yesterday that Kate skipped the wake and went directly to the hospital). At the hospital, Kate is still wearing the black-and-beige print dress that she wore to the funeral. Definitely the same "Salem day". Kayla arrives at the hospital after leaving the wake at the pub. She is wearing her white doctor jacket over her funeral attire. At the hospital, Kayla tells Kate about the wake. Kayla also interacts with various other characters at the hospital, about various topics. At the Kiriakis mansion, Maggie is on the couch with Sarah, and they are both in black. Maggie is drinking tea or coffee looking sad and contemplative, and says "it was a lovely service, wasn't it?" (Sarah agrees.). Maggie says "Oh Sarah, you know my heart is breaking for Marlena, and her family. To finally get John back home, only to lose him like that? Oh. He died a hero, which is fitting, because... because he also lived like a hero." (Then Sarah and Maggie start discussing Xander, etc.). So Maggie was at the funeral, and she feels for Marlena, but she wasn't shown onscreen at the funeral, and she shared her thoughts about John -- privately with Sarah. I guess this is what Maggie would have said *at* the funeral, if she'd been shown there onscreen? Other people in the Friday episode were Xander and EJ, each in various locations, and each with various other characters. But I won't mention what either of them said/did in this post. Only that it seems from their various dialogues and interactions that neither Xander nor EJ was at the funeral. Anyhow the *majority* of the episode wasn't about John or the funeral. It was mostly about other storylines. Quite a few storylines, but I'll omit all that in this post.

BTG: June 2025 Discussion Thread
Eva never went to school for executive office stuff. The only reason Nicole hired her as a temporary replacement for Laura: Mona recommended her based on a conversation Mona had with Leslie at Orphey Gene's with the ladies -- Leslie told Mona that Eva could do it, and Mona believed Leslie. My sense of it is that Leslie may not have known of Eva's talent. Leslie probably figured that Eva could fake it well enough until the reveal. But I think that Eva was just really inwardly skilled with technology and naturally talented at organizing schedules and filing systems. I believe this, perhaps because, in real life, I have known people who can walk into any office and learn the system fast, because they have the instinctive ability to organize things and the ability to learn technology quickly. (In my headcannon, I expect that Eva probably had color-coded paperwork systems she created for herself during highschool, LOL, but in creative bright colors.) So I think that Eva had this ability to learn -- but never had the chance to try it until she got the temporary job working for Nicole. Anyhow, once Eva had the chance to work for Nicole, she blossomed at that sort of thing, and both Nicole and Ted saw that she could do it. Remember, just before the anniversary reveal, Ted and Nicole told Eva that they were so impressed with her that they had decided to keep her employed in some capacity after Laura returned from medical leave; and that they would pay for Eva to go to medical coding training school. I think that all of that caused Ted to believe that Eva could run the organizational parts of his medical office. And he still wants to send her to medical coding training. Sure it's a stretch. But I think it's plausible.

DAYS: June 2025 Spoilers
The Bistro scenes with the Johnson clan ... were (probably) originally scheduled to air Friday June 13, because that's the 40th anniversary of Stephen Nichols's first airdate. (He debuted June 13, 1985.) I guess the re-editing of the funeral episodes pushed the Bistro scenes to Monday June 16. So, Jack's birthday June 14, and Stephen Nichols' anniversary June 13, both celebrated in episode of Monday June 16. "Next week on Y&R" preview video for week of June 16-20 This social media account doesn't post it as a video anymore. (because they want to avoid copyright issues). They post it on tiktok as a series of still screengrabs without audio. Tiktok automatically animates the series of stills and then random music is added. This twitter video is taken from that tiktok. If you slow it down you can see better. There is closed-captioning on each of the stills, to show what they are saying.

Josh's wife did a joint interview with him. Josh's father and grandfather are ministers. Josh and his wife said they have the same pact, to not show sexual content with others in their acting gigs. I don't want to elaborate further now as I've already posted it in the past.

Here's a better and longer view of Senator Padilla being arrested for requesting to ask a question. They forced him to his knees and flat on the floor and then handcuffed him Info from The Guardian live blog https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2025/jun/12/la-protests-los-angeles-california-curfew-ice-immigration-marines-national-guard-donald-trump-latest-updates at this point in the CBS recording that Padilla could be heard beginning his question with the words: “Madame Secretary, I want to know why you insist on exaggerating-”. As Noem continued reading her remarks, without even pausing, the CBS camera panned to show Padilla, at some distance from her across the room. Just three seconds into the incident, Padilla could be seen standing, with his left hand raised slightly in a rhetorical gesture, and trying to continue with his question, as a security officer placed his hand on the senator’s chest and began pushing him away from the front of the room. There is no visual evidence in the clip to suggest that Padilla was moving in Noem’s direction when he started speaking, or was ever within 10-15 feet of her. Noem’s decision to ignore the interruption and continue reading her remarks also did not look or sound like the behavior of someone who had been lunged at. ----------------------------------------- Afterwards the Republican speaker of the House of Representatives Mike Johnson defend the handcuffing of the California senator Alex Padilla. “A sitting member of Congress should not act like that. It is beneath a member of the Congress, it is beneath a US senator,” he said, calling Padilla’s actions “wildly inappropriate”. He added: “They’re supposed to lead by example. That is not a good example. We have to turn the temperature down in this country and not escalate it. The Democrat party is on the wrong side. They’re defending lawbreakers, and now they’re acting like lawbreakers themselves.” Johnson accused Padilla of “charging a cabinet secretary at a press conference”.

Yeah I don't need Charlotte. Does Drew have custody of Scout? Because that would not be good for Scout, at all.
