I don't know who these Italian celebrities are. I have noticed that when B&B does remotes, they arrange for local celebrities and social media influencers from the host country to appear in cameos in the episodes. And B&B sometimes uses contestants from the host country's version of "Big Brother". In Italy it's called "Grande Fratello". Or the Italian "Celebrity Big Brother" . . . "Grande Fratello VIP". They did a lot of this for the 2023 Rome episodes. There were dozens of real-life socal media influencers doing cameos -- they appeared as fictional members of the press -- at the outdoor fashion show by the fountain in Rome. This was one way that B&B got people to appear as extras for their outdoor crowd scenes. I guess they think this gets new viewers for B&B local broadcasts in the country where they're filming. And the celebrities also publicize B&B on their own instagrams, which is extra publicity for the show. It's all cross-promotion. For example, the B&B cast and crew rave about whatever hotel they're staying at for the remote episodes. Perhaps the show gets a discount for that. Or perhaps the show gets permission to use parts of the hotel for publicity events etc. They use Italian designers for some of the wardrobe featured in the B&B Italy episodes. More cross-promotion.

Perhaps, from her con artist background, Chelsea figures out something fishy is going on, and then she tells Adam? CBS starts their seasons in late August, during September, or in early October, so basically fall seasons. B&B and Y&R differ on their season start dates sometimes, but their start dates are usually within a few weeks of one another. A U.S. soap season is usually around 255 episodes. When it was announced that BTG got a contract or promise of 200 initial episodes, that doesn't mean that the first season is 200 episodes. I'm assuming they simply got a promise of 200 episodes. My preliminary guess: Some of the initial 200 episodes would be for a short Season One that lasts 5-7 months. The remainder of the initial 200 episodes would kick off Season Two, with more episodes to film gradually, to fill out a full 250-episode Season Two that would go a full twelve months from Sept 2025-Sept 2026. That was my first guess/theory when the 200-episode deal was announced months ago. The fact that BTG has more preemptions and planned repeats than Y&R/B&B -- that throws off my theory a little bit, but not by much. But of course, I'm just guessing about all of this.

Thurs June 26 U.S. Cole is still in the hospital in Chicago. He is asleep Victoria and Claire make a quick stop in Genoa City to check on Johnny and Katie and to get a change of clothes, but plan to return to Chicago before Cole wakes up. Esther is still managing Crimson Lights. She waits on Victoria and Claire. Victoria tells Esther that Cole has Legionnaires’ Disease. Legionnaires’ Disease. Legionnaires’ Disease -- that's a new way to write out a soap character - if he dies, which isn't certain. There have been no spoilers about this (and this is a nonspoiler thread anyhow.) Just saying, Cole's fate is uncertain. It's hard to tell with a sporadically recurring actor. And Esther gets an appearance. Nate walks in and joins Victoria and Claire at their table. Claire has a panic attack and dashes outside to the park for air. What's most interesting about this scene is that Victoria and Nate talk about their past relationship, forgiveness for how it ended, and becoming friends again. Nate listens as Victoria talks about Cole, and he is supportive. He seems to miss being a doctor. With the lack of cell service at the Dumas/Cane estate in France, Nate hasn't heard from Audra. *** Speculation: perhaps *if* Cole dies, they might pivot back to Nate/Victoria? Or at least they'll be in each other's orbit whenever Victoria returns to Genoa City. I'd prefer to see Nate as a doctor again instead of a businessman, so I hope he decides to return to practicing medicine. Meanwhile Claire is outside panicking about Cole's illness. Shirtless Holden is jogging and sees her. He realizes that she's having a panic attacke, and he gives her techniques to help her calm herself. I don't care about Claire. But it was interesting that Holden said he had a history of having anxiety attacks when he was a teen and he tells her what he learned from that. Holden seemed sincere and that was a new side of him. . . With the lack of cell service at the Dumas/Cane estate in France, Claire hasn't heard from Kyle. And Kyle is flirting with Audra via applying sunscreen. They might pivot to Holden/Claire (I hope not). But . . . is Holden really sincerely caring about Claire? Is that story about his past anxiety true? Or does Holden he have an agenda with Claire? I don't know. Audra and Kyle in swimsuits in France, each flirting with the other, supposedly faking the flirting in order to each further their own agendas to manipulate the other for business reasons. Audra deserves better than Kyle! Arghh. I hope they don't go there. I'd be more interested in an Audra/Sally pairing.
