  2. Okay. I agree that Peaches told the inheritance attorneys about Leslie. But how did Peaches know about the inheritance to begin with -- how did she know that the inheritance attorneys existed? Peaches wanted to tell Leslie she was dying. She sent out an investigator to find where Leslie is living now. Did the investigator somehow learn about the blind trust?
  3. Found this interview from 2017 where he talks about the film https://carolyntopoltalk.com/visiting-with-jordi-vilasuso/ Jordi Vilasuso: The Invitation was a low budget, independent movie with a terrific cast, crew, and writing team. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in theater, film, or television. It felt like we were doing a play. We were all in one house. We had two days of rehearsal. Everyone shared the same dressing room — all the men were in one room and the women had their room. We were together, working for a month, in this house. CTT: So it was an ensemble piece? JV: It was a very ensemble piece and there was nothing but creativity and support from everyone. Everyone was there and cared about the story, found it very compelling and just wanted to tell a really great story. It was a super fun ride. It’s turned out to be really great. I think Entertainment Weekly called it one of the top 10 films of the year so far. [As of mid-November 2016].
  4. Your original link didn't work, I think there was a space added into the end of the hyperlink or something I think I fixed it when quoting so it should work here. Insightful article. Thank you for posting.
  5. Posting on this Politics thread has fallen way off since the horrible one went back to the white house, especially after his agenda and the congress' agenda went into full force. Obviously, I cannot speak for all the other posters as to why their posting has fallen away; I can speak only for myself. For myself personally, to be honest, with fifty gazillion horrible things happening in politics daily, I haven't been posting on this thread very often, it's all so overwhelmingly awful. I can barely handle reading the news, let alone talking about it. But I do realize that it does need to be talked about. I have missed your voice here.

  7. oooh! how did I miss that? Thanks. Edit, okay I just rewatched, and yes there it is.
  8. I miss owning a car. It was my tradition to go for a long drive every year on Madonna's birthday and play her music loud
  9. Caitlin Reilly, daughter of John Reilly (Sean Donely) She appeared as Sean's daughter Annie Donely for the GH tribute after John died.
  10. Posted by Ian Buchanan Liked by claudiogama_71 (Claudio Gama) who is the husband of Tony Geary, but Claudio posts pics daily and likes pics daily -- I don't know if he knew the significance of Ian's post -- if he knew that Tristan had died.
  11. Happy birthday to Madonna (August 16)
  12. So then Anita would likely try to contact Barbara's family for permission (or ask Devon to arrange that). And then the word would eventually get back to Leslie.
  13. In Friday's episode, Anita said to Vernon, it would have been good if Barbara's family were in the audience at the reunion concert. Anita said that she didn't think to contact them to invite them, so they could see Barbara honored, and she wishes that she had thought of it. Of course Anita would remember where Barbara's family lived originally, since all four Articulettes grew up in the projects. We know they started singing together as teens, but the video at the concert showed the four as girls, maybe elementary school age, so they'd known each other for many years. Anita would have identified the family to the attorneys setting up the blind trust. But does Anita know where the family lives now or how to contact them? I guess she could have asked the attorneys for the contact info, and then contacted them herself with invitations.
  14. I have the same questions!
  15. After Barbara died and sent the suicide note to Anita, as soon as Anita had money, Anita set up a blind trust to pay off Barbara's family with a lot of money anonymously. Some sort of fund that still exists and probably accrues interest. It was set up in a way that the family was never supposed to know the money came from Anita. This was Anita's internal emotional way of rationalizing that she was paying off her own karma for abandoning Barbara and causing Barbara to die of despair. (I'm not saying that that money actually solved the bad karma. Just saying that this was what *Anita* used as her motivation). Anita recently said that she donated her personal share of the Articulettes reuninon concert to the same blind trust, so that it would go to Barbara's family. Peaches learned somehow that Barbara's family trust has this money. (I don't know how Peaches would know this.). Now that Peaches is dying, she wants Leslie/Dana to know that her bio-mother was Barbara -- as Peaches wants Leslie/Dana to have access to the money from Barbara's family trust. Peaches says it's a lot of money. So with this inheritance, Leslie/Dana could theoretically buy property "within the gates". Whoever Leslie/Dana's bio-father might be isn't relevant -- the money comes from her mother, not her father. If Dante Green is the father, it doesn't matter if he's rich or poor, Leslie would be rich from her mother. If Vernon is the father (hopefully not!) but if he were, that would just be additional money. OOOOOh right, I forgot that part of it.

  17. Oh that's right, she said she wants to get back to her charity work. I wonder if we'll ever see Jacob's mother and brother?
  18. I just watched the Chief Hawthorne/ Anita scenes. Episode #19 from March 24. I think it was only that one episode? He dropped by her house. They exchanged some initial pleasantries about the Chief's wife Darlene who works as the police dispatcher, and Jacob's brother Luke who is also a cop. Most of their conversation was about her charity foundation planning an event for the Fallen Officer Fund. After the chief left, Anita was on the phone with someone about planning more for this event. But during all this, as Anita was talking up her own expertise in community events and charities, you could see her looking wistfully at Vernon's recent awards displayed on the shelves, and also her old awards on the same shelves. Later in the same episode, Naomi dropped by to visit Anita. Anita again asserted how great she's doing with her current life of doing charity work. But ... Then she finally said she's not old --- and the episode ended with the cute scene of Anita trying to do rap and doing a fair job, and then Anita trying to convince Naomi to rap, but Naomi was like "no". Anyhow, now that I've rewatched that episode after 5 months have passed, I see it differently. Originally it seemed like we might see a police benefit onscreen? But now I'm not so sure. Maybe it was just a set-up to show that Anita was feeling a subconscious need to sing again.
  19. I thought Chief Hawthorne was well worth watching in episode 107 (August 7). That was the first time I found the character interesting.
