  1. https://www.tvinsider.com/1196281/general-hospital-jonathan-jackson-leaving-reason-lucky-spencer/ “It was more of a real, sincere attempt from myself and from General Hospital to make it work for a longer period of time. The hope was to be able to stay on longer.” But for Jackson, traveling between Tennessee (where he lives) and California (where the show films), ultimately proved too disruptive for his personal life. “There was always that possibility because it was a bit of an experiment on my part to see if I could make it work with the family dynamic,” the husband and father of three explains. “There were moments where I thought, ‘I think I can find this balance with the family and time back and forth,’ and then you just have to pray about it and try to do what you feel is right. We gave it our best shot, but we weren’t able to keep it going.”
  2. https://x.com/soapsdotcom/status/1932070618326773892 Alison Sweeney promises that, even though Sami misses John’s funeral, she gets to pay her respects in a way that ‘felt very real’ https://soaps.sheknows.com/days-of-our-lives/news/784947/where-is-sami-john-funeral/ Just posting here the quotes from Ms. Sweeney “I don’t know if it was meant to be a secret — so I don’t want to step on their toes — but I came back a little bit later because I couldn’t be there for those scenes,” Sweeney revealed. “They arranged for me to do it a week later, maybe two weeks later. I do come in and have scenes about John, but my timing was a little bit off after all of that.” Sweeney admitted that it was “hard” not to be with her Days of Our Lives cast to film the poignant scenes. “We knew when we were filming the scenes that it wasn’t going to air [until] six months from now and we’re going to have these feelings all over again and that’s sort of what’s happening,” she said. “I’m watching these scenes on TV and seeing all the comments on social media. And we’re reliving it, so that’s really hard.” “mourning doesn’t always happen [when] everyone gets together on one day.” She added, “Sometimes, that’s an ongoing thing. Having Sami come back and share those moments with Marlena, like a week later or something, allows us to tell that story.” Sweeney said tenderly, “I’m really glad that I got to be a part of it in the way that I was, it felt very real.”

  5. The CBS one is the daily episode excerpt. They plan those out in advance for timed release onto the CBS youtube channel. They must have set up the clips weeks ago; and the Monday June 9 one got released on Saturday June 7th -- perhaps someone forgot to move its release date after the May 8 preemption. The three tweeted ones above -- It's a new twitter account opened only a month ago, no idea who they are. I have no idea where they obtained that footage.
  6. Another copy if the cbs youtube is geo-blocked in your region (Link to facebook post)
  7. Tuesday June 10 U.S. (Monday June 9 CDN) Quoting the Canadian recapper (Link) . . . Damian gives Lily a signed edition of the history of jazz. He says that when he saw it, he thought of Neil and thought it might mean something to her. He apologizes if he overstepped. She explains the book was one of her dad’s favorites. They lost his copy and she felt awful about it. Choked up, Lily tells him it’s a wonderful gift. It’s surreal to see it. ^ via soaphub (Link) above two pics via another soaphub page (Link)
  8. Sneak peek photo of a Y&R set for the Aristotle Dumas estate in France. On the Billy Flynn "casting shocker" thread at this post https://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/68394-daysyr-casting-shocker/?do=findComment&comment=2028749 It seems that the actors were/are still taping on the "France" set(s), and it will air into July or longer.
  9. Sydney Mikayla (formerly Trina Robinson on GH) graduating from UCLA, June 2025 https://www.instagram.com/p/DKh92usSow8/ officialsydneymikayla In 8 days, I’ll walk across the stage at the #1 public university in the country — @ucla What a journey. 💙💛 I came in with a dream and left with a purpose. From lecture halls to rehearsals, community work to creative sets, every moment shaped me. I’m so proud of the stories I’ve told here — and the ones still unfolding. Grateful to everyone who poured into me, supported me, challenged me, and believed in me. Fours up and peace out! 🎥✨💙💛🐻 #UCLA #ClassOf2025 #BlackBruinExcellence #YearbookVideo @jordanward
  10. I tried following the news in Los Angeles at https://laist.com (independent public radio and news) They had up-to-the minute accurate info during the wildfires in January. There's no video, no impact to my mind as to what's happening. Trying other outlets, to get the truth, but it's hard.
  11. The other issue with Missy: in June 2020, she "liked" some social media posts by Candace Owens -- things Candace said that were against Black Lives Matter. That is described here https://tvline.com/news/melissa-reeves-racism-days-of-our-lives-instagram-controversy-2894568/ I don't know if that was ever resolved.
  12. That's what Julie Hanan Carruthers is doing for BTG at the new studio in Atlanta, but JHC is credited. And @errol said JHC is working in a nonproduction capacity at Y&R.
  13. I remember when the whole Missy Reeves controversy started in 2012. She tweeted support of a business that had made homophobic statements. Greg Rikaart (who was on Y&R back then) publicly called her out on it, but was willing to reach out and speak with her. Article here: https://greginhollywood.com/greg-rikaart-talks-about-his-twitter-war-with-fellow-soap-star-melissa-reeves-over-anti-gay-chick-fil-a-73139 That being said, ten years later, on DAYS, in 2022, when they had they double wedding of Leo/CraigWesley and Gwen/Xander, Jack and Jennifer came to the wedding. At that time, Missy Reeves was only intermittently available for DAYS. Jennifer was living "in Boston" and Cady McClain and Missy were each intermittently appearing as Jennifer, on the specific occasions when the show required a Jennifer to appear. Missy wasn't on contract and she could have said no. But she chose to appear as Jennifer for the gay wedding of Greg Rikaart's character. So... I mean... I would assume they reached a détente behind-the-scenes. Missy still has her belief system but there's that.
  14. The John Black character has been a part of my life for decades. I like heroes being honored, however imperfect they may be. I'm glad they are giving him a long farewell and tribute.

  16. When Barbara's letter was read (partly in Barbara's voice), there was commenting upthread that Barbara's voice is similar to the voice of Naomi's unhoused client June. It did sound like her. June is played by Jasmine Burke. Per closing credits, Barbara was voiced by Sherita Bolden. Still possible that they are connected. From our discussion on the May thread: Looks and/or voices similar between June, Haley, and Tracy. Tracy looks like Debbi Morgan. LOL so June might be connected to Haley, Tracy, or Barbara; and/or Samantha&Tyrell. I love that we don't know!
  17. sss Ms. Tunie is a goddess. I feel all the anger, pride, sadness, arrogance, dignity, fear, love, and other emotions in everything she does as Anita.
  18. Wednesday, June 11: "John's funeral service continues. Bo defies doctor’s orders." I assume that means that as soon as Bo learns of John's death, he checks himself out of the clinic and asks Hope to bring him to the funeral. That would be in character for Bo. (and yes I know that in the real world, patients aren't that mobile right after awakening from a coma, but this is Bo Brady.) I really don't think the show would do another fakeout or one-day recovery for Bo. 2015: Steve rescued Bo from a prison, they arrived in Salem, Bo rescued Hope, and Bo died of a brain tumor, all within a few days. June 2016 a couple of episodes: Bo's spirit guides Hope. regular Days, a couple of episodes in May 2022: Bo's spirit helped save/resurrect characters from the Devil stuff. Beyond Salem 2, in July 2022: Bo is (seemingly) in heaven and watches over Hope. At the end, Bo is revealed (only to the viewers) to be alive, in a coma in Megan's lab. 2023: the Megan Hathaway lab, Bo is awakened, but influenced by her. Shawn misunderstands the situation and shoots Bo, and Bo goes into a coma. 2025: Bo awakens from coma and sepsis and dashes to John's funeral. In my opinion, there's no way that this would be another bait-and-switch "Bo is alive but he's not" thing. I think this is intended to fix the other three false starts, to finally have Bo really alive. Obviously Bo and Hope are not staying in Salem, this is just a visit, but presumably we'll hear that they are living happy lives elsewhere after this.
  19. When Anita read Barbara's letter, it started out with the viewers hearing it in Barbara's voice as Anita read silently. And then Anita saying the next portion aloud while Barbara's voice continued simultaneously. And then ending with Anita alone saying the last part aloud. Excerpt from interview (link to full interview) The rest may be spoilerish -- Only the nonspoiler part here: I love the idea of reading that letter,” shares Tunie. “And at one point in the script, I think it said that my voice joined her, and [Anita] started reciting the letter from memory because [she] memorized this letter. I suggested to Steve Williford, our director, ‘What if it’s like that moment in Hamilton when Hamilton is writing the resignation letter to George Washington, and then he starts saying it too, and then Hamilton’s voice fades away, and then it’s all George. What if we do something like that?’ And he was like, ‘Oh, my God! I just got chills. Let’s do it!’ So, we did it.” I understood that it worked really well, so I’m really happy about that.”

  21. Some sites are still saying Jack Wagner's return begins June 13. Others are saying maybe it was changed to June 16. Re: this spoiler: Friday, June 13: Hope comforts Brooke, who is now without Ridge, Hope, or Beth. I wonder if that means that either Hope asks Nick to visit, or Hope tells someone, and they tell Nick?
  22. No idea if this relates to Billy Flynn or Aristotle Dumas. Conner Floyd IG stories June 7, 2025 That might be a clue, or it might be a random post? It almost looks like nice linen for a table setting. Could this be for the Dumas event? or is it some old prop from the set archives? Why does he say "If you know you, you know" for this?
  23. My speculation about the Mariah trauma and the old man (Michael Swan character) The man approached her at the bar, when she was in her drunken state of mental collapse... I speculate that she hallucinated that the guy was Ian, or thought he expected her to do things that Ian had programmed her to do in the past, and then I *speculate* that Mariah tried to defend herself from... a real or imagined attack from this man. Regarding the murder mystery: What if it's not tied to the Dumas storyline? What if it's about the mystery man in Mariah's flashbacks -- maybe she killed him; or someone else killed him and she thinks she did it? Edit to add (More SPECULATION) If Mariah thinks she killed someone (justified or not, real or imaginary) ... if she thinks she murdered someone, then it would explain why she feels it would be unsafe to confide in Tessa or Sharon. She wouldn't want them to protect her by hiding information, causing them to be accessories after-the-fact. Maybe that's why Mariah says in the preview video that none of this is safe to talk about.
  24. Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
