Aug. 4 USA (aired Fri. Aug. 1st Canada). So that's the noncontract actors for week of Aug. 4-8 USA. Yay we'll see Jill, and not just learn of an offscreen call with her. But will it be in person or will Jill be on videochat? They credit the actors whether they appear on the set in person or via videochat. Will the "heated exchange" actually be about Chance's death? Or just arguments about Chancellor Industries, Abbott Communications, and Cane Ashby?

What? If you think soaps are dying due to fans? I know Y&R is extremely boring to me. I don't like the business storylines because they are repetitive and meaningless and I just don't care. I feel completely the opposite about BeyondTheGates. I find Beyond the Gates to be fun and I usually watch many of episodes twice, which had never happened before in the decades I've watched soaps. I love the storylines and most of the writing. The sets aren't perfect but they're better than Y&R. I don't remember hearing anything about money being invested in the show. Just time and energy. I really love the headwriter's vision for the show.

Wondering about that mysterious phonecall Hayley made in the past. There had been speculations that she had a secret surrogate mother lined up. But I guess not if she fakes a miscarriage.

Monday August 4th US (Friday August 1st Canada) Billy and Phyllis meet with Cane in Cane's GCAC hotel suite. They ask why Cane isn't in the fancier penthouse suite at the GCAC, since he now owns the place. He says the penthouse was already booked and . . . Cane says this GCAC hotel suite is only for a temporary stay He'll be living on his private train when it gets there. He has an identical train on every continent. This has been corroborated by other Canadian recappers. Not a joke! That last slide of Colby's ig, with them on the bus -- I remember it was posted months ago and we were wondering what that was about. Was the cast going to a social event for fun? Could it be a remote? I remember wondering!

On other threads, I saw posters wondering if Hayley would do something like Annie Dutton. I don't know Annie Dutton at all, but have just learned that this is a character from GL which is a show I've never watched or read about. I found the character's archived GL soapcentral bio (Link). I started reading, but it's really long and I know nothing of the show, so I was completely lost. Can someone give me a one-sentence (super brief) thing that Annie Dutton did that's possibly something that Hayley might do? I don't want a treatise or a video. Just one sentence, so the thread stays focused on BTG.
