her peak was definitely in the '90s when she was this compelling, complex villain on both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful. Kimberlin Brown really made that character iconic during that era.

It really pulled viewers in and kept them invested for years. By the late ’90s/early 2000s the tone shifted a bit, but that earlier era was golden and set the foundation for why so many stayed hooked.

They’re not what they used to be, and a lot of fans are sticking around more out of habit than excitement. Unless the networks seriously shake things up - new talent, better writing, fresh energy - we’re just watching a slow, quiet goodbye. Maybe soaps should end on a high note - with dignity - rather than fade into a shadow of themselves. But if they’re going to keep going, they need more than nostalgia.
