Josh Taylor played roman since 1997.. more then 25 years.. the recast totally destroyed roman and Marlena's legacy, as their chemistry not equal to wayne and Deidra's magical super coupling.. but honestly, should Marlena really reunite with roman after all those years, just because John died? no, i think it's too late.. and I don't think the show would survive much longer.

That’s great! Phillip III's 'death' scene is incredibly powerful and emotional. Jess and Jennie truly nailed it! The line 'first the father... now the son' reflects the rich history and adds so much depth. It’s undoubtedly one of the most impactful and powerful scenes in soap history! (it turns out the accident was actually a suicide attempt, and Phillip faked his death and moved away- ridiculous unnecessary retcon)

I don't know... we lose more and more soap actors and actresses. Does it lower your motivation and energy to keep watching your soaps? Days of Our Lives without Jen, without Hope, without Bo, without Doug, without John Black... what's the point to continue watching?

Don't forget Marlena and Maggie were close too, a long time ago. Those three matriarchs could be front and center, maybe start a business together: Julie, Marlena, and Maggie. Despite behind-the-scenes drama, it would be girl power! But I'm not sure the actresses will Maintain their roles much longer, probably exhausted from learning lines and working. They could retire anytime now, but their beautiful legacy will live on forever.

Should we expect John black's memorial in upcoming months, maybe bo and hope's return is connected to john's death? gosh.. no more John and Marlena. heartbreaking. so sad. but let's focus on his amazing legacy spanning almost 40 years.

It's pretty messed up that we might have to wait ages to see any on-screen tribute for Drake. The whole soap opera filming schedule thing really sucks in situations like this. Feels wrong to have such a big gap between real life and what we see on TV, especially for something this important. Kinda makes you wish they could find a quicker way to honor him, right?

In other words, probably not. I wasn’t interested in soaps. I was doing it because it was a good job. DSBut twenty-five years on a soap. It’s so funny to hear you say you weren’t interested. I understand you had your children. It was a good gig, steady income. It kept you on the east coast. VW: Kept me on the east coast. Kept me coming home at night. I was there at dinnertime every night while my kids were home. When they went off to college, then I had an apartment in the city and I didn’t have to do that kind of commuting. But when they were little and under my auspices, I was there all the time. So it was a great gig. Was it something I intended to do for the rest of my life? Not at all. But when I realized what the alternative was and I had two children to raise, it was a pretty good gig. Also, when you do work for one entity, you know you become competitive about it. They become your family.

Nikki and Victor were compelling characters during the 1990s. Their individual struggles and shared challenges made for engaging television. However, at this point, their storylines feel exhausted.
