There was wayyyy too much Leo in todays episode. It really is crazy how a writer, who can get tired of characters and storylines so quickly and so easily, can still come up with storylines for this nothing character after 6 years. I’m not really sure why Xander confessed the truth to Maggie about Konstantin’s death but I did like their scenes today. They do have a really nice relationship. And Bonnie and Sarah do too actually. I’m curious as to what they may do next in order to track down Xander’s mother. And, welcome back, Jack! Good to see ya! I’m still finding myself interested in this storyline as well and if Jack is gonna have a part in helping Chad and Julie, even though some of the spoilers I’ve read have made me more worried than ever.

Idk, it just felt different to me. Usually, Tate’s anger is directed at both of his parents and today it was like he and Brady have always had a perfect relationship. Plus, I feel they’re missing a great opportunity to mine as much drama as they could from Brady and Theresa’s night together, especially for Tate and Holly, which l think would be better than the Romeo and Juliet stuff that they’re trying to do with them.

Yeah… Stefan trying to be a tough guy won’t ever work. Him getting one over on EJ today and EJ being so beholden to him just didn’t feel right. I would imagine that EJ would always have one more trick up his sleeve instead of letting Stefan win. Plus, couldn’t Stefan just go to Melinda and ask her to reopen Gabi’s case? Has the show forgotten that Melinda was supposedly in love with him lol I have mixed feelings about Theresa/Tate too. I feel like they’re missing a beat in this storyline by having Tate immediately find out what really happened between Brady and Theresa. Maybe it would have been better if he had first overheard them talking about their night together and mistakenly believed that they were getting back together. And based on the spoilers that I’ve read, the truth could come out at prom, which could have led to good conflict between Brady/Theresa/Alex and Tate/Holly as well. Tate should be a messy, angsty teen like Holly lol Plus, I really hope that Tate being so anti-Theresa and pro-Brady today doesn’t mean that Ron is letting his biases write the show for him again.

Maybe that should be what you buy next 😂😂😂

Not much happened today lol The Abe/EJ political stuff was FF material. The only way that it would have some kind of point was that if it caused conflict for Johnny/Chanel. IMO, that’s where the story is. And Stefan and Kristen were just annoying. Their scenes were the perfect example of what I mean about plotting and things being rushed. They rushed through the Konstantin stuff, which was important but we just had to sit through Stefan and Kristen bullshitting with each other for two full episodes? The ending cliffhanger with Stefan was pretty good, though BB really needs to work on his reactions in situations like that lol. But I’m all for Chad and Julie going to Chicago to investigate about Abigail. I like that Julie brought up all the times that Alice saved Bo and Hope. In some ways, her relationship with Chad does sort of remind me of the relationship between Bo and Alice.

Exactly. A terminal illness storyline should not play out for almost 3 years either. As for plotting, or lack thereof, I still think it was obvious in some of the stories. I mean, how else would the sleazy drug trafficker who had Laura shot end up being Laura’s brother 😂😂

I think you and I talked about this before lol Early 2019 was when everything really started to go to hell. I think that him not getting his way in some of the storylines (Paul/Will/Sonny, Chad/Abby-Gabby/Stefan) also played a part in all that as well. And possibly why we had the now forgotten time jump 😂😂 I thought he did have a good revival in 2020 with Gwen’s intro, Allie’s return and the battle for Baby Henry, John’s brain aneurysm, etc. But in 2021, it kinda went back to hell.

Finally, Lucas is free!! Dude spent more time in prison for a measly little kidnapping than most people in Salem do for murder 😂😂 I wonder what they’re going to do with him now. I read some spoilers but idk if they’re official or not. Once again, Billy Flynn killed it even though him breaking down to Clyde was a little sad. No one should ever be beholden to that pain in the ass. I just hope the story is written well and not some half-assed mess that’s just written out of spite. We’ll see what happens tomorrow. Btw, I love the relationship between Chad and Julie 😊 Johnny and Chanel were good as well, but I still think they deserve a better storyline. This is speculation, but I really hope their scenes today don’t mean that they’re going to be written out.

I think Higley is worse Ron has really good ideas, but some bad ones too lol I still think his biggest problem is that he often lets his obsessions (Hi RSW! Hi Leo!) and biases against certain people and characters write the show for him.

I wouldn’t mind that 😂😂 And if he is gonna be paired with Leo, better that it’s a newbie instead of Dimitri, Will, Sonny, etc.
