  1. From a few months ago...
  2. OMG I’m watching this all for the first time, and seeing Buck on my screen awakens DILF feelings in me. I almost just want him to sweep me up in his arms and protect me. Also, Chris Marcantel. I thought Lisa Peluso playing Ava was neurotic AF, but him playing Curtis is off the scale. And I cannot help but be drawn to it, in a similar way to Buck, but this time I want to be the one to sweep him up in my arms and tell him everything’s going to be ok. He projects vulnerability so well. I find it kind of neat that he was the first AND last actor to play Curtis on the show (after the million and one recasts). Are there any early Loving videos out there from when he originated the role?
  3. I love that they kept the same kid who played JJ for before and after Stacey’s murder. Definitely provided for some great consistency and drama. And thanks to everyone who helped provide the Buck backstory and confirmed he was Trucker’s brother. Did they delve much into their relationship on the show? I knew LLC was on the show, but was actually surprised to learn that Jocelyn was Danny’s sister. And yes completely agree about Ava talking about Stacey. I had watched some 1991 episodes a while ago during Ava’s time in the Paul/Carly storyline and observed just how overly neurotic she was then. It seems like her relationship with Alex helps to temper those neuroses a fair bit, and it does come across in these Murder episodes that she has grown up to an extent..
  4. So I’m now caught up to everything Loving Murders that has been uploaded thus far. I have a few questions actually regarding prior plots: * How did Casey die? * What did Danny Roberts do to Casey and Ally prior to this that’s got Ally so hellbent on revenge? * What was the actual resolution to the whole Trisha stuff? All I know is that she was presumed dead after that car accident in 1993, and everyone thought she was dead although she wasn’t. * I read that Buck was also involved in that storyline somehow. Wasn’t he Trucker’s brother or something?
  5. Awesome little video clip from March 1979. Skip to 8:13 and you will see the first ever meeting of Roger Thorpe and Ross Marler. Jerry verDorn was only 29 when this showed, so he was such a baby face back here.
  6. This is bloody sensational. I’ve wasted the last few hours binging on that Loving Murders playlist. It appears a lot of the videos have only been uploaded today, so I assume there are more on the way (or at least I hope so). Right now, it’s up to the point of Clay’s death...
  7. That would have been fascinating to watch, especially considering John Aniston’s character was a father figure to TR.
  8. I’m watching the second ATWT chat at the moment, and I’m cracking up at all the set furniture they grabbed after the show finished. I’m actually liking CZ’s understatedness here, especially as she tells her stories about Anthony Herrera and the bullfighting scene. And her having to wear SFX makeup for a *year* as part of the disfigurement storyline. Ellen - “Sometimes being a bitch is all you got left” about Margo’s last years.
  9. Just as I did the ATWT Zoom chat the other day, I thoroughly enjoyed the GL one. It’s refreshing to see all these stars come back and be just so candid about their experiences and memories. Maureen Garrett looks absolutely amazing for a lady turning 72 this year, and it’s encouraging seeing Jerry verDorn still able to interact with other people. All the others were looking great too (Liz, Kim and Robert). I hope Alan keeps these running whilst we are still going through this lockdown phase.
  10. Sanders is OUT!! Campaign suspended. About bloody time too!
  11. Can I just say WOW! That was such a delight to watch. They are all looking amazing even after a decade. Let’s hope they continue these!
  12. Imagine being in their shoes right now. I would be terrified 😨
  13. That was GOOD. What was the storyline behind this and what year was this from?
  14. Anne Sward and Scott Bryce always brought it in any scenes together. There was a May 1984 episode I watched a while ago where Lyla came to visit Craig in prison and ask his forgiveness for her not supporting him during his trial. That was one of the most heart-wrenching scenes I had ever watched.
  15. Was this picture from when they were in Body Heat?
  16. Cheers for those. So if I’ve watched those correctly, basically there was a killer roaming about at the time, and somehow Wendy might have fallen victim to them but no one actually knows for sure??
  17. Question I’ve had as someone who didn’t watch the first time around - how was Wendy Wilkens (Lisa Peluso’s character) written out exactly? I’ve heard commentary on various social media that her exit was somewhat ambiguous and thought some of you might know on here.
  18. It just reminded me to go rewatch the Xmas snippet from 2009 when Addie re-emerged with a lucid new personality thanks to experimental treatment. It was so weird seeing the whole family react with complete and utter disbelief (kudos to everyone for acting their chops off in that scene), but at the same time so pleasurable to see that.
  19. So almost completely by accident, I ended up binge watching a lot of 1991 Loving on YT. I never realised just how enthralling some of it actually is! Lisa Peluso is just mind blowingly amazing. I had also binge watched quite a bit of SFT a few months ago, and watching her in this was like watching Wendi Wilkens all over again. Although I will say that it was intriguing to watch the totally different mother/daughter dynamics at play - the Kate/Ava dynamic on Loving as opposed to the Stephanie/Wendi dynamic on SFT. One mother being controlling and overdemanding and the other being overly patient and almost at her wits end. And yet Lisa maintained this air of being her own self-sabotaging worst enemy the entire time in both roles. Kudos to her for pulling that off. And one other pleasant surprise that I had not expected to see *at all* in those episodes - Anthony Herrera and Ilene Kristen playing comedy off each other. Two names I never thought I would type in the same sentence. But somehow that combo worked REALLY well and they entertained big time. So a massive delight to see those two. This was also the time that Elizabeth Savage was filling in as Gwyn for Christine Tudor. I actually prefer Savage and hoped she would have stayed longer. Her Gwyn is perfect for all the storylines occurring at that moment. I almost wonder what it would have been like if Savage had stayed for the final serial killer storyline. All in all, a marvellous way to be entertained over the Xmas period!
  20. Having watched her on both GL as Dinah, and Y&R as Keesha, I’m really glad to see that she is still making a name for herself even today. Very talented actress on many levels!
  21. I echo the sentiments made about Barbara Crampton in relation to those 1988 episodes posted by @BoldRestless (thank you so so much). Her characterisation of Leanna Love is beyond this world, particularly those fantasy scenes in her room where she dreams of killing Victor. And comparing those to the somewhat composed scenes of her and Victor in his office - she nails the juxtaposition amazingly.
  22. I never realised GH and Y&R had such a battle for #1 during 1986! That would have been exciting to watch unfold at the time!
  23. Been getting hooked on 80s ATWT episodes lately, and finally got around to this one - Steve and Betsy’s wedding. I also loved the other storylines going on at this time, eg. the contract out on Steve’s cousin Frank, as well as Craig in jail for his kidnapping of young Dani. I enjoyed the closing credits being all about the wedding. Was it true that this gave ATWT some of its highest ever ratings during the 80s? Another thing I noticed while watching these episodes as well - I hardly saw Craig interact with any other members of his family - it was almost as though he operated in an entirely different universe to the rest of the Montgomerys (Lyla, Margo, Cricket). Although there is a scene in this episode where Lyla visits Craig in jail and tearfully apologises to him for not supporting him during his trial. The performances of both Scott Bryce and Anne Sward were just incredible in that one scene.
  24. Donna, please do not assume to talk for other people when you say how “infamous” Marland’s 10 rules are. I’ve been posting on and off on these boards (and also RATS*) for many years, and that was the first time I had ever seen Marland’s 10 rules written explicitly, although I had heard them alluded to many times. And I actually got a lot out of reading them. So @ScottyBman thank you so much for posting these, they were a pleasure to read.
  25. So I introduced myself to SFT by watching a few October 1984 episodes on Youtube, and there are a few storylines in play that unfortunately are incomplete as not all episodes are up, so I’m curious as to what happens: * Warren Carter has just faked his death and escaped from jail, and is now hiding out in Brett Hamilton’s house. He has already burned down Martin’s resort, and sent a dead rat to Jo. What eventually happens with this, especially re Warren’s obsession with Suzy and Jonah? * Cagney has just been released from jail but is still under suspicion for the theft of $20K payroll money (was this one of Warren’s schemes?). He and Suzy are currently catching each other in seemingly compromising but ultimately innocent situations, and never seem to get a break. Cagney is being chased by Justine, Suzy by Brett Hamilton, and Stephanie is trying her damn best to keep them apart. When do they eventually come together? * Liza and Kentucky have just stopped Cord Tourneur from bombing a prototype plane because he was hallucinating that he was still in the Vietnam War and everyone was conspiring against him. The chemistry between Liza and Kentucky was SIZZLING HOT!! What ended up happening between them???
