  1. Not just you. Or she is someone from Ted's past and he didn't recognize her at that time. Heck, maybe she's Andre's mom, and no one knows.
  2. Ikr. I was like 'huh?' I know he was. Mike stays booked and busy. Not 1985 Steven Carrington! *falls out*
  3. Yeah we are already starting to see that. How Daphne had to shift from grown woman in love to fierce sister in the same scene with no real break in the episode was a masterclass.
  4. How weird. That quote is from Cheap21, not me. Which I replied to because I felt Mike was giving shades of Cyrus's just as dorky (but smart) boyfriend on Scandal. I am VERY aware of how attractive he is from his appearances on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Well from those that liked him and posted pictures on DAYS OF OUR LIVES. That said...I thought he looked cute. And I felt his clothes fit in all the right places. I am also a sucker for a guy in glasses so uh yeah. lol.
  5. hehe. Yeah, I've seen him with glasses on DAYS.
  6. While Episode 1 had more of a build for me, I enjoyed Episode 2 just as much. I guess...outside of the recent return of the Newman Ranch on Y&R...I really have been conditioned to be used to small sets or everyone living in the same place in sometimes implausible ways. But the sets here are just so spacious. It almost takes me out of the scenes because I want to explore the background with my eyes. Just a sight feast. I think my favorite was the main Dupree set during the Vernon/Martin scenes. I loved that there was a lot of establishing this episode. Like the aforementioned Vernon/Martin scenes. While they had moments in Episode 1, it was really focused on the ladies. It was nice to get more of a feel for them as well as the deepening of the relationship. Vernon came across fuller in depth to me here. And I guess I can see why since they gave intrigue with Martin's dreams and that conversation with Anita and Vernon at the end...basically hinting that they know why that is. And more importantly...does Bill know, too? Cuz that was what that conversation sounded like. Speaking of intrigues...is Nicole's assistant Hayley's Mama? Cuz that conversation with the other younger assistant and then the camera going back into the scene between Nicole and Hayley made me go hmmmm as much as that assistant's reaction. And not to be outdone, the reveal of who Ashley is friends with...and one of those 'friends' looking at Nicole's man? Uh oh...what game are they playing? Yes, the mother/daughter duo debated. And I already like Eva. She was sooo sweet in her scenes with Ashley. And then to see the switch in her vibe...my kind of villainess. I also like her style. Leslie's lingering look on Nicole's man was mos def intriguing. How does she know him? Hayley came across more likeable this episode for me. If Delulu. Meanwhile, Ashley was better established here, and I found myself more invested in her as a character. First day at work, nervous about not doing right is totally relatable. And look at more of her connections showing. Her being close to Eva and Leslie and it seems like that was for a while. Meanwhile, her and Andre have a history as friends. Oooo. Andre, Andre, Andre. I was trying to piece together how connected he was to Nicole because of the family tree that was in the special. But I didn't think Andre was Nicole's son. So...a nephew. And the real dad died...if I heard correct? Is he connected to Leslie? I am liking Bill, but he isn't menacing enough for me yet. Which surprises me. Though I did giggle when he said aw hell no when Hayley told him what Dani did. I thought it was funny that Dani vanished halfway through the episode. Just in time for her to show up in the coda. I actually wasn't feeling KM today as much as I did Episode 1. But TT gave throughout. Her body language. Her looks with double meanings. She even gave a bit of bougie when Dani suggested she would move out of Fairmont Crest. And I giggled at her look she gave to Vernon when he said Bill seem sincere. #theshadehunni She was soooo good. But we know I had to save my favorite for last cuz Nicole's death stare to Hayley's suggestion she help her assimilate into the community was EVERYTHING. But I liked to see more of Nicole this episode. And her FOINE man...giving Sterling Brown to me. And then her vs Hayley. Daphnee was ooooo so good. Her looks. Her vibe. But I just love the fact that we saw Nicole, the family woman with a career and then we saw Nicole in a confrontation...two different shifts...back to back...and Daphnee navigated that beautifully. I'm curious to see how people react to Martin and his husband. I like them as concept. Pretty to look at. But I was not feeling them...yet. But given how this show is very good at changing my mind on that, I know that will happen with them. And given the topic of gay interracial relationships still can be a topic at times, if that will be exploded on this show as well. I see the transitions and fade to commercial were better in this episode so the close ups were on point. Good episode. It was nice to feel more invested in characters that I didn't care for in Episode 1. Good intro of other characters. And even the other side characters have character to them. It was giving old school Y&R when you had all them side characters and they had their own personality/life/stories.
  7. He was honestly giving me shades of Cyrus's boyfriend on Scandal.
  8. 2-20 Oh my God! Did that Giggly Heffa up and get her ass kidnapped? lol. Well, this episode continued to prove the best thing about this show currently is the Damian storyline. You had Lily and Damian's first official meeting. You had Audra scheming...for the side of good this time hehe...with Holden to get Damian to go see his mother. And there was also those Nate/Amy scenes and Nate pulling strings to find a way to cure Amy and her wanting to be stoic. And of course, there was the end, classic cliffhanger and classic Y&R. So it was sad that I was disconnected from the C plot of the Giggly Heffa. I did like seeing Chance, but le sigh. So Summer is truly just over him. smh. And all I got out of those scenes (and the day before this) was that I don't like the mousy hair on AL. I love it when she has that beautiful lion mane of hers. Meanwhile...could they be answering the audience (well at least here)'s prayer and creating a way for Amy to stay? I'm not against that. And I loved Amy showing more edge and Nate not minding. I also didn't mind the lingering camera of Nate walking over to the door to open it cuz DAY---UMM. I definitely liked Lily and Damian. They had a good rhythm going on. Damian had that swagger. And Lily had some sass about her. But overall, I definitely see that potential. Why do I feel like Holden is toying with Audra? She might want to watch out.
  9. Hahaha. I so didn't catch that. Delicious. Just as good as the B&B shoutout.
  10. I love the level of establishing that is going on in this episode. I also am loving how spacious the sets look. It's been a minute. s ETA: Oh @Soapsuds @AbcNbc247 I see your man. Glasses look good on him.
  11. Is that foreshadowing to who her mama is? Nicole's death stare is EVERYTHING.
  12. Wait WHAT!!!! What game is she playing??
  13. Watching now and HELL-HO NICOLE'S HUSBAND!!!!
  14. Yeah, I saw that opinion growing online and worried about Karen just a little bit. What clips I've seen (I'm hoping to sit down to watch the reunion tonight), it almost does not seem like she is missed. A potential mis-step for her. Yeah. You know I was her biggest fan here, but even I feel she can go. THIS.
  15. You better speak on it!!! I feel I like this one even more than the other one. I feel there was more...personality to it.
  16. I don't think I've been this way about a soap in a good minute. Or at least that non-wedding of Peter August on GH. lol. I was stepping out of work and someone might have needed something and I sooo side-eyed. And then several streets were blocked by the police and fire department. I hoped everything is okay, but I did eyerolled. I haven't been so aimed on a soap in a good minute. Coming on soon... Ooooo I take that as good praise coming from you. You are giving me life since she is my favorite. I feel that. Outside of the Damian storyline on Y&R...I have no immediate desire to watch the other soaps this week...lol. Now re-watching the Gates on the other hand...
  17. Yeah, you can add me to the ground that can't tell Jacob and Andre a part. But hey...in time.
  18. Waking up to all the Nicole love warms my heart. Looking forward to Episode 2.
  19. Thank you for this. I admit I was wondering about her a little bit. And she's in a movie with Adam Huss. Cool.
  20. Thank you!!
  21. Truly the end of an era. I was not always in there, but it always flowed and it was an excellent lifeline to this very moment. Thank you for that. We made it!!! And now the beginning of a new era. @BetterForgotten I finally saw your comments from the Paley Center while I was out on an introspective walk. Well done for those. Worth the wait. @marceline I definitely look forward to your comments once you get around to watching since I've always enjoyed your comments on soaps in the past. And on a different board. Her look during the family walkout (and TT did it) was EVERYTHING. I love you. And also happy you got to see it.
