Now why is Drew and Willow catching strays. 😜 Which is why I rolled my eyes from the first promo that showed Dani at the hospital during Bill's issues. Given how much play Bill/Hayley/Dani got in the first month...it just feels too soon to have them in story together. Interacting or cross paths while their separated storylines are going on...OF COURSE! Keep it alive since it's clear there will be a circling back to them down the road. But not tooooo directly in story. Moreso when you factor in the fact that Hayley still does not have a POV as of yet. It saddens me because a lot of the storylines going on right now are storylines that have been given the time (for the most part) of letting the audience in on characters' POV...something I felt Month 2 did beautifully so that now those storylines can have more attachment/investment because we as an audience have some idea of what makes the characters tick. It's also why I don't mind the June plot just being a C plot for now because that needs time and doesn't take away from what's going on. So when it finally heads wherever it is heading, I feel we have some idea of what June is like and feel if we should care or not. Meanwhile...Hayley in her own story...is just THERE. As for Ashley/Dani/Andre...I don't want it...but at least there's enough POV going on there to see mileage. Not to mention I like how Dani/Andre were slowly developed and how Bill and Ashley have been slowly wormed into Dani/Andre's internal drama. Even this new wrinkle with Hayley could help push that idea forward if the writers want to go there.

Well so has Ridge about Brooke on B&B...and look at what's happening with that? Per today's episode...I do think it was a case of ex-wife getting in her insecure head as the reasoning for this. It could have been built up a little bit better, but it has been established that almost every time Hayley starts with Dani, Dani be finishing her with the quickness. And usually Bill LETS her. I thought it was just me so THANK YOU. And yes, I rewinded at that one camera turn. Well tbf, I thought it was telling in the Andre/Nicole scenes today that Nicole made a point to say he was a playboy BEFORE he got back to town to stay. And he's already acknowledged that (outside of Ashley to the viewing audience) no girl has ever held his interest enough to want to be in a relationship with them long-term. Dani, it seems, would be the first. And since he's never been in one, this is new territory which is why he's not against coming out in the opening. Because as you and I know...you never forget that first time and he's clearly caught them feelings.

I am sure they will have their flaws, too, but I'm a sucker for the good guy cop (who happen to be cute...Dante GH, Chance Y&R I'm looking at both of you. Okay and Chase GH, too, hehe) character. And I adore Christine...well grown-up Christine. So I'm not surprised. I love how much Jacob and Naomi are in love with each other. And I love seeing an attractive black couple so very much. Does she? Cool! While I will say they tried to give her reasoning right before the twist today, I 100% stand by you on this. How can you try to do a triangle...and it's been clear since Episode 1 they were going to try as THE A story...when not everyone has a POV in it to make them rootable or even sympathetic. They did that well with Dani...for better or worse. They did with Bill, too. Giving both flaws and their own storylines SEPARATE enough from each other that the current drama is juicier because of it. But Hayley, I've been saying is the weak link in the triangle for this very reason. She has none. The closest to a talk-to has been Caroline and we don't see her enough. And Derek...who she will probably try to use as a babydaddy in the near future. 😎 Especially since it's Ashley that knows the truth.

Now that my shock has worn off...I'm not upset by it. I do have a lot of thoughts. lol. And I liked she basically gave her reasons to Bill BEFORE we got the coda of the episode. HER insecurity. Cuz she knows (like the rest of us) the REAL fire is between Bill and Dani regardless of what either says. Not to mention how she gained Bill will probably be how she loses him. The baby lie, of course, does not help. From the writing point of view...this guarantees there will be more mileage in the A story of Dani/Bill/Hayley (le sigh lol, not my favorite of the 3 main stories established in Episode 1 though NOT boring to me) once it is rotated back out like the SilkPress storyline currently is for the Martin's Secret storyline. It also guarantees that Hayley is bound to lose him at some point.

I felt the same way. And I love Nicole. But...yep. Not at all perfect. Same. Still in shocked. And she laid it all out in her talk with Bill, too. Still though...shocked.

Speaking of hot, about to be out in it so I will check it out later.

First Ted with Nicole. Now Andre/Dani with Bill. Like I said...I am loving the near-misses. But le sigh. The antagonizing vibe is back between Bill and Dani. I'll say this much...the bubbles today...hehe. Yay! Another doctor. And now...this Ashley/Andre/Dani stuff knowing what's going on. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh at that ending!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hold up, hold up, hold up! Don't tell me that Dani is right and this heffa is faking it???? Okay, TeamTed. He's reading Nicole and I'm kinda here for it. Oh, lord! 9 PM. Am I getting my wish for a Friday cliffhanger and we are getting Martin's total recall moment??? That's why I'm liking it on this show. They (so far) come across really organic for me versus where it is what I call the Lucky Gold 'who's on first' dialogue.

Eva spilling nothing, but truth in this Ted (pun unintended) talk. 'Dani Dupree is nobody's prey.' Has there been a bad Andre/Nicole scene yet? This is good. Martin suuuure is looking FOINE in that shirt. Hahahahaha! Something else I like about this show. It knows how to do a nice near-miss. Ted was totally about to tell Nicole about Martin, and Nicole did not realize it...thinking it all about Dani/Andre. So now he's probably going to shut up. Ugh.

Well, let me pause my rewatching to watch LIVE...LOL. Fingers crossed for no interruptions. Ooooo a Bill/Martin scene from GO. Ashley vs Dani? Well, I guess it gives an idea of what might be like if the thing with Andre becomes a triangle. Ooooo Hey, Andre, hey!!! That sweater shirt. YES, PLEASE. And oops. HAAA!!!! So Ted's job comes into play at last.

6-19 Now that the 'Thursday' episode is out of the way, back to the A plot. lol. There was a lot of things I liked about this episode. One thing that I have liked about this show has been...whether you like a story or not...stories are allowed to build from C plot to B plot and (eventually perhaps) to an A story. I'm thinking about how the Crooked Cop story was strictly C plot and look at how it's connecting slowly to the A plot of Martin's Secret. The strictly (for now?) B plot of Doug/Vanessa/Joey storyline wouldn't be half as good if we didn't see Doug's gambling addiction grow while Vanessa was off either being a gossip or jumping on a man while Joey was in the background. Now there have been story twists and reveals in it, too. So watching June's plot the last little while has been giving me the same feel. And I don't mind it being C plot. For now. I really have enjoyed everyone's various theories on her, too. And I don't at all feel it is leading to a dead end. Definitely curious to find out the mystery of the picture. And I love seeing Jacob and Naomi working together with her. In no rush whatsoever. I do admit that I AM in a rush to get to the next leg of the SilkPress storyline. Part of me feels like it's a stall. I don't want Trisha leaving any time soon so this does work to keep her longer. HOWEVER, it's also realistic because it would take time for a DNA test to come back. There are times that I like Kat wanting to get to the bottom of it...and I'm here for her being a bitca on wheels...and her spinoff-eque adventures with Jacob hehe...but there are times when she has started to annoy me because her need to rush might endanger the case. And she feels and acts too smart for this. Also...after driving May for the most part...and with Martin's Secret finding taking its rightful place as an A plot...from a writer's POV...it's time for a bit of a rest for the plot so I can see why it's hovering between B and C plot this week. Leaning C at that. I do enjoy the balancing act the writers are doing. Well...sometimes. But I feel that might just be me thinking too deep. Thankfully, Jacob has other things to do that I like. And Kat...I like seeing her dealing with her business with Chelesa. Not so much her stuff with Tomas. The actor is starting to get uneven in his acting again. But...back to Martin's Secret...lol. They have been doing such a great job of it building piece by piece. This episode was the confirmation from Vernon that the mystery man WAS there. And now Martin is having visions?? Cool! Meanwhile, Smitty is slowly and surely continuing to go down that road that is going to lead him to his husband. Good and juicy!! And don't think that I haven't noticed that every time Martin has a flashback, the audience gets a liiiittle bit more of that night. And I am really wondering when total recall will hit. I am going to cheer if it all comes out on a Friday no question. THAT is how you do it. I loved the subplot of Chelesa having issues with her starting her business and having to run to Bill. Bill will always need moments where he needs to be humanized. And his children are great for that. I awwwww at the little moment with Bill and Chels. Of course, Bill would have a little catch sentence for his kids. Also...I am always living for Chelesa vs Hayley. She drags her as good as her mama does.

Yeah, going on two weeks of Martin in the focus with a tight A story grip. Rewatching last week and it holds up. And I know this week will be doing the same. I expect the same now that people have something solid to hold on to.

Aw hell no, Shady Phae Phae!!! For me, 50Cynt has had that look several times so it's nothing new though as always she looks good. I feel my favorites are Angela (for still standing out from the clear theme) and Porsha which looks like something I would expect Kenya to wear...giving goddess. I kinda like Shamea's, too.

6-18 A solid 'Thursday' episode. I thought the highlight for sure was how the story of Dani/Andre continues to unfold. And Dani finally told Nicole. The Dani/Nicole dynamic has been one of the best dynamics to watch. And this was really their first rift. DD was giving. And I care about both sisters that I can't wait to see how it develops. More and more though...the Dani/Andre relationship is being found out. I bet the reveal is going to be good. Yeah, too soon for Chelesa and Madison to be around the family. I didn't like that. I liked even less that Dani was being that Dani that polarizes very much in those scenes. I prefer the one who was around Nicole. And I'm always here for Nosy Nurse. Bill's recovery has given some humor going on. And now a life insurance policy...things that make you go hmm. Which means he don't get to talk. Thank you. I know people like Dani make it hard when they go back to their default mode, but it's all there in the writing and how the actor/actresses play them. The layers to Vernon vs Bill Monday alone... They really remind me of a black Paul and Christine from Y&R. With better chemistry and pre-bad writing. As for Kat/Jacob...chemistry yes. But I see it as brother and lil sis chemistry. Looking forward to their mystery spinoff. It sure has. It makes me wonder if it is going to lead to the spoiler I mentioned a few weeks back because I feel like that would make sense with Nicole's outbursts she has been giving that feel slightly uncharacteristic.

And take away the multiple shirtless Jacob scenes I've been getting? I think not! 😜 As I suspected when he popped up in this mess. Lord Baby Jesus. One step forward, two steps back. Always. We got the flashback. We got Bill searching her out and coming to a denouement...though I knew what the writers were trying for with that...keep other A story going by them coming to peace right when Hayley has baby issues aka typical soap. And she was already being a bit OTT with Hayley at the end of yesterday. Le sigh. She better watch out. Dani ain't the one OR the two.

I feel that the last time Portia didn't have slanted writing was her wedding. And even that...

I just saw this. And you know what? It made me excited. Good to see that CBS is really showing commitment to all things soap. It makes me miss SoapNet now though. Hehe. That was my SECOND thought.
