Now that I'm coming down off the high of a good episode...in terms of story, I am on the fence about it as well. Unless there is a twist or great fallout...which that I can totally see cuz Nicole's reaction alone...I wonder if Martin's Secret is a letdown for me.

Smitty kicked Martin out of the house. So now he has to work to getting back together with him. So perhaps we will get to see them work their way back to each other. Good episode. Oh, I agree. It should. But I just thought the dialogue during the Bill/Martin/Vernon scenes was very pointed about the timing of Bill getting the picture from Martin might hint that Kenny ain't dead or something. Hopefully, I'm wrong.

I agree. At this point, Drew is doing so much that surely Portia can trip him up. Better yet...bring Ava back into it. Ava will surely stay having Trina's mama's back. I also hate her being powerless as well. It's a waste of BR's talents. It's part of the reason I noticed the aforementioned scenes cuz BR was playing something different rather than weak, but she was also adding layers to what Portia was doing that I actually had her side though she was making her issues with Curtis worse.

Surprise, surprise! A Dani appearance 20 minutes until it's over. Something I really love about this show a la Y&R back in the day. You never know when a cast member will appear later in the episode. Love that.

Well, I'm still playing catch-up, but she had some great scenes that came across as a villainess at the start of the month. Perhaps she will be the next person to go dark...which at this point...I wouldn't mind. It also might be the only reason for Curtis/Jordan to get back together since the chances of nuances for Portia's turn to the dark side would be non-existent outside of how BK is playing it.

I would have wanted it out earlier as well, but the advantage that it wasn't out has been the characters being fleshed out so that when it finally does, people at least will care. And trust and believe that I was annoyed with Month 2 at the time for that very reason. And we know I'm going to disagree about near-misses being built into the stories since soaps do that all the time...usually as fantasy sequences. So good to see a soap get back to actual near-misses on a secret.

Well, I always felt that June is secondary (for now) because we care more about Jacob and Naomi and because we care about them helping her, we care about June versus us caring about June. It hasn't been earned for June. At least not yet.

I saw that yesterday (cuz Ellis's birthday I believe also just passed. RIP) and hollered. Oh, I know. Very much. I wouldn't mind him here to play. A blessing from that horrible writing. You're not alone on that. It's the only show that I feel like rewatching for the show (and not just the bods and camera angles ). But I am aware that I watch the show from a different lens than others. And if I can watch it live...totally. Not many soaps can be a show that has enough stuff going on that one needs to go back. But here we are. Same. Bill and Vernon always have great interaction. I think that is another reason why I like the drama with Chelesa. 3 black women is a first on soaps. lol. Same. Same with Kat and Jacob. I just like them for their brother/sister vibe and I like the friendship with Jacob and Smitty who both married into the family so totally makes sense why they would vibe.
