B&B: March 2025 Discussion Thread
3-19 Well for a short week, I liked it. I think my only disappointment was that this episode had no more of Luna/Sheila. The theme: fallout. I've liked what I saw in both main stories. I loved Poppy vs Luna. It looked like Luna was just mowing all over her mother. Therefore, I was happy to see Poppy got some good licks in at the end. And then the reveal to Sheila...? That's just trouble waiting to happen. Scratch that, I didn't like Luna saying to Poppy that she's basically going to aim herself at Will. And the fallout from the Takeover. I liked it even though it ended basically being status quo. Or maybe I should say that I liked the acting. We all know JMW gives good bitca and that was on full display on this episode. Meanwhile, Carter making up with Ridge was awww. But now they are just walking all over him. And Brooke...is just being Brooke. Le sigh. I see a lot of moving parts that intrigue me (where does Daphne go from here, is Brooke really not going to help her daughter, Hope's next step, the hint of couture aka fashion show coming) but it's funny how Hope is basically out on her butt like she said she would be if Carter gave in. Good cliffhangers going into March Madness.

BTG: First-ever role recast!
Yeah, as I've been dealing with stuff this weekend, it's been interesting to see how everyone is reacting to the news (and apparently Kristian Alfonso). I'm sure these newbies will get the hang of how soaps work. But them turtlenecks aren't going to hit the same for sure. Given how active Maurice was online, I feel as well that perhaps he was not adjusting to the daily grind as well. It's safe to say that the Nicole/Ted/Leslie storyline has been set to explode in May Sweeps and that means it will build over the next month and perhaps MJ saw he was not up to the major commitment to the storyline.

BTG: March 2025 Discussion Thread
You have had a busy couple of weeks so missed the announcements about it here because this thread moves very fast and you don't want the other soaps that it effects. Emphasis on GOOD. Which of course is subjective. I have truth in MVJ myself. Now RC... And I'm really curious to see Jamey since I only have what others have said...which has been good and bad. And as people know about my relationship with humor and camp vs slapsticky and silly...I don't need to go over that again except to say I am an organic humor (think Hayley being ignored by the whole country club) kinda of guy. I know people were mentioning in the discussion about Ashley that she has not interacted with her mother so hopefully they enjoyed it finally happened as much as next week when Naomi and Hayley finally interacted because both should have occurred by now, but better late than never. I personally enjoyed it and Ashley opened up so much more because of it. I caught that, too!!! The crack in their scheme team is definitely showing. lol. Yeah, I feel like that...and Martin's secret are going to climax at May Sweeps. I love with Silk Press Sheila that they are really giving it the classic build, with almost-outs. Like soaps used to be. Yeah, it is for that reason that I pointed out the Lynn Martin credit. The wonders she did on Tuesday's episode were the bee's knees to what she did on Friday's episode. And who was in charge of Friday's episode? RC. Like you, I don't know Jamey's work well enough but I'm optimistic. Look at Lynn Martin. Tuesday and Friday were night and day. Hehe. Yeah, I loved the Andre/Nicole scenes yesterday where he hinted that Dani is not okay and mentioned personal experience of his own. A hint of depth from Andre? Yes, please. They are doing right by Andre and Dani and I continue to love that dynamic...whatever it will grow into. Outside of the longtime friends angle, *shrugs* I don't mind it. But I feel the actors are getting comfortable in their roles. Someone made the comment in a tweet (with pictures) and I haven't been unable to undersee that. And apt. I love Marlena Evans. Someone made the comment in a tweet (with pictures) and I haven't been unable to undersee that. And apt. I love Marlena Evans. Another reason for me to be optimistic on Jamey cuz we know I trust your judgement greatly.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Believe the hype. You will LOVE them. Vancouver Season 1 is a complete storyline from start to finish alone. But Melbourne...I heard of the awesome fabulousness of Gina loooong before I saw her due to this board. And once I saw her due to a marathon on Bravo...it was love at first sight.

I want to say that it varies from soap to soap off of my experiment off GH this year. And that was just with the HW rotation than the breakdown writers. I am sure someone else knows better than I. I think in this case, the show is just in the process of finding their rhythm, though. That said...I think it is worth noting that Lynn Martin did the script for Friday and Tuesday. Tuesday was the better of the two cuz Friday did have several of the characteristics I would expect from something with RC's name on it. It was also the weakest episode to date. Meanwhile, Tuesday had humor that was not slapsticky, great character moments and I felt the various plot moving pretty well.

3-14 That's it??? They went through all of that trouble with Operation Carter only for Daphne to get through to him so he can agree to give back the company? I didn't mind the pacing of it though in the home stretch it really did feel like Brad felt it was an afterthought. Still, I was not expecting an abrupt ending like that. At least it is going to have fallout from Hope's reaction to Hope/Carter/Daphne to Steffy being Steffy. And speaking of abrupt, smh at Bill getting Luna pardoned. Does he have the power? Yes. But that was clearly seat-of-your-pants writing because if he had it, I would think he had used it a while ago. And now he has turned Luna loose? Lord...lol. But I did like having the smug look wiped off Ridge's face. I also loved Li being...Li. (choke her again! choke her for me! hehe). And I actually did like Luna vs Poppy...the one authentic note in the whole thing. Luna's throughline has always been her wanting to know her father. And while she's crazy, that does not take away from the fact she was right to call Poppy out. At least, not for me. Well...it was nice to have multiple (and rotating) stories while it last.

LOL. I still think it's a good counterpoint because I (outside of the Kat/Tomas date) loathed Friday's episode. Weakest of all the episodes to date. Watching the HW name rotation on GH and focusing on what those episodes are like so I know WHO to shade, Friday's episode vs yesterday's episode of BTG was like a vindication to me. Because how is it that I loved yesterday's episode and how it moved vs Friday's. Same script writer. It had to be the breakdown writer and I saw who did Friday's vs yesterday. Given the discussion I've seen on Jamey's work all over the various threads, I'm actually curious to see how he works. Speaking of script writers, I'm also really looking forward to Jazmin Brown's next script.
