  1. 7-9 Well, I definitely wanted to watch it again before I said anything. Because I was heated over those Andre/Dani/Ashley scenes. It was another good Jazmen episode. Martin's Secret is still up front even if it was not the main thing going on. I liked watching Martin spiraling even if his kids were driving me crazy. We got another step toward the truth with Jacob having that flash of memory of seeing his father. And the side-by-side conversation between Jacob and his father and Smitty and Martin was very well-done. A chance for the truth to come out? Of course not. Not yet. And then a whole subplot with Randy/Joey/Doug/Vanessa...An A story that keeps giving. And speaking of that side-plot...I like it. I like the fact that it is part of the main plot, but it also served the B plot of Doug/Vanessa/Joey which has, as I mentioned before, been the best paced of the B plots. Outside of Dani/Andre of course. I will miss Randy and the friendship between him and Doug. But I loved that Vanessa got to be a boss bitca. I called that her seeing Joey with Marcel and Jacob's father would come back up. And it showed in those scenes. I also liked that it made the whole Doug/Vanessa/Joey storyline that much messier. But what I was really looking forward to was Hurricane Dani!!! And the dialogue was great. And I admit that I guess I liked how reserved (for her to STILL be over the top) KM and Dani were in those scenes. All Ashley wanted was to have a date with her growing crush. Not only did she see her ex, but she saw (unknowingly? I think the rest of us would see what's up...not Ashley *eyeroll*) Andre's other woman. Smh. While I love the battle of wits between Andre and Dani...and it came across better for me on a rewatch...I still can't with Andre. HE wanted her to come out with their relationship. SHE was doing what he wanted her to do, slowly, but surely. The part that bugs me...HE knew she was in the progress of doing it. How Andre has been acting over the last week (and how SF has been playing it), he is backpedaling...not because of any serious issues with Dani who has btw been upfront with her issues/feelings with Bill, but because of what was established in Episode 1...he has a torch for Ashley and now that she's free...he's making his move. And for all of their intimate conversations, he really has not been up front too much about that and who it is with Dani. It's part of the reason I feel (speculating) that Ashley will figure out that Hayley isn't with child and will probably be about to tell about it, but won't because she will find out who Andre's other woman is and keep quiet out of spite. But...we will see. In any case, I felt while they both got good digs in, Andre was being uncharacteristically a prick. And I'm at the offramp with Dani/Andre who I was actually loving. Way too soon, I know. But then again, that might have been the point if the writers are going to head back around to the Dani/Bill/Hayley story anyway. And I have to say it was a great job because I'm no longer interested in the pairing. Those scenes hit. But it was a Jazmen episode so not shocking.
  2. LOL!!! I give you that, but still shocking SHE said that.
  3. Unless he did it this week, I would say he has not yet. I can't recall if he got mentioned in the new Lily/Cane flashbacks when Charlie and Mattie got mentioned though.
  4. OH? Good to hear. I've been curious.
  5. See? I thought they actually took their time with reconciling Amy and using it to keep tension between Damian and Nate. It was the scenes as Damian was leaving town to head to Nice that was my clue he was probably a goner. And how so many of his plot threads were either being wrapped up...or with the Dumas 'twist' of him not being the head of the company being given to someone else. That said...I couldn't help, but think the same. Holden, Damian, Devon, and Nate. That's a lot of...men on canvas. So someone had to leave. I was worried it was Devon. Or even Nate himself...given he is totally into Audra.
  6. And I got your back on that. Missed beats are actually rare on this show. And I know I point them off (and point out when a beat is played so people see they were played heehee) when they do. Same. Same. I stay saying this and have pointed out every time they have a scene together because their scenes have gotten rare sadly. I love me some Dani and Vanessa. Heck, speaking of missed beats hehe...I would love it if the show picked up the one where it seem that there is no love lost between Vanessa and Pamela. It would be a great way to flesh out Pamela more. Because they clearly didn't like each other BEFORE Diego walked in that one episode. Almost like they both were competing for Dani's friendship.
  7. NOW PUT RHOM IN A BETTER TIMESLOT!!!! It's funny about that because someone just posted that the only HW shows that did great so far live ratings-wise was BH, NJ, and POTOMAC...which was third place on that list. Meanwhile...I guess our discussions were dead on...IT'S NEXT!!! and also it seems like S6 will be 18 episodes. Allegedly. And goodness knows Little Girl has been promoting. Also she seems to STILL be in good with Angie and Mary. And Heather...unfortunately. IKR!!! YOU BETTA GET YOUR CAMEO TIME, CAROLINE STANSBURY!!!! LADIES OF LONDON walked so this show can run! Love it. Like the 'Back to Paddington' Girl. Look forward to my foreign HW show fans giving me the skinny on the HWs that were not on LOL. And I am hoping that someone post the episodes on YT and Dailymotion. More than likely the latter.
  8. It was good. I totally agree. Sharon just don't like her. You know what? Like everyone else, I did in my head shade that scene cuz Girl, where else would she eat?
  9. I agree. Just when they were talking about it when they had the slideshow, it felt icky so I'm sure it would be worse seeing it in a flashback. Same. Knowing what we know now...I wouldn't be surprised. If not now then a few months from now.
  10. Same. I might not like the fact that Dani/Bill/Hayley will be coming back into the A story rotation, but I know that I will at least be taken on a journey. And even now it has potential...how far will Hayley go, will Hayley team up with SilkPress, will SilkPress find out the tea due to an argument between Hayley/Ashley and blackmail her, will Ashley figure it out, be about to tell, but find out that Dani is Andre's other woman and keep moot...it could have some story traction just off of what's on screen right now? Heck what if June IS related to Hayley or Bill? The potential is there. And all of this...because MVJ is doing old school soap where as an A story is climaxing, a B story is building, and a C plot is starting...which I feel MVJ has been doing all along with various degrees of success. I hope what we are done with Martin's Secret, it will a lot more fluid in how the A story shifts. Fingers crossed.
  11. Not Smitty with Kenny!!!
  12. Don't forget that while most of the cast have been snowed/flooded (?) in, someone Cane made it out...and Adam actually WALKED up the mountain. Literally. Walked. Speak of it. Damian really was before his whole storyline was hijacked. If we count his DAYS run (well the ending)...BOTH.
  13. Wow. THAT'S how they dealt with Natalia? Part of me is shocked. Part of me see the paint-by-numbers of it all. Oh, well...Lucas and Marco got a cute little meet-cute moment. And FINALLY Curtis and Portia had it out. And dare I say it...that was the first time Portia actually came across as a villainess I could root for rather than slanted writing making her out to be the villain.
  14. 7-9 I mean that was kinda different. 3 different doctors (Finn, Li, and Grace) working on three different patients. That does remind me...I forgot to mention...what was all that about with Grace last week. Were the writers finally about to set up a storyline with her? And as for Li and her newish concern for Luna...yeeeah...I can't help but feel that she's about to do with Luna what she did with Finn. So I won't be shocked if that is the case. Sidenote...LOVING JMW's hair. That said...I don't like how she's painting Liam as this biiiig hero. GIRL, STOP. He could have held Luna without shooting her, or gave the gun to you. Yes, Luna taunted him, but that screen still did not play like self-defense. And gasp at Poppy saying that about her own daughter. Wow.
  15. Same. Like just look at his 'calm before the storm' scenes he had last week with Smitty. He was looking at his husband like a man in love, wanting to tell his secret, but at the same time couldn't...and he played those layers quite well. Something he could not pull off...say Week 1. I don't think he's being propped either, but it's been a minute since he's been overbearing and arrogant like his grandpapa cuz he's coming across half of the time as a whiny politician guy (which I find kinda weak for him) and as a frantic parent which I do admit he carries a lot better. BC definitely does anger very well, but sometimes he can uneven with it...which can be a problem. I'm really looking forward to the moment I've been mentioning since the beginning...the moment when Martin has TOTAL recall. The last month we been getting more and more of the memory of that night. And I want to see how BC does. I always suspected that it would hit him when he was pushed to the edge. We almost got that when the anniversary party happened and Silk Press Sheila kept poking him with the brownie memory as well as him being upset with his father, but the writers pulled back. Now the stakes keep getting higher and higher with his family in growing danger and him growing more and more frantic so I expect his mind to find snap, revealing what the memory actually is.
  16. Thank you! Same. Even their card scene last week or so which was basically the definition of 'reading a phone book' under JG's pen was great due to the chemistry those two had with each other. I definitely feel CK was and has been giving in this relationship. Which I admit I was surprised to see because of the aforementioned tales of CK, Lily, and white guys. And if she don't like it, I don't see that on screen. I did see chemistry between Lily and Damian and was looking forward to see where it could go. Have been since he was smitten with her from first sight. And I've said and continue to say what you said as well. All that build up...all that mystery...down the tubes for an unnecessary twist to a story that was actually pretty good in spite of the haphazard writing to bring back an unneeded character who had run his course when we finally got a new AND different character played by an actor who was good in the role. So of course, he's out. Still acting. Just now on BET+
  17. JR is not a bad actor. He was let down by the writing...as everyone flying away from that show have proven (or will be proving next year in one's case) by how the actors are bouncing back on other soaps and showing they can act. But I digress. I feel BC has been doing a good job. That said...I do feel that the show has pulled back from some of the actor's debatably few strengths...and that has been hit or miss. But I am invested in his storyline. The real question is...now that we are not slowing easing BC into the role and are now in the thick of his storyline and its approaching climax...can BC pull it off. And we are about to find out.
  18. Well technically they did sleep together. Now will Lily get a black love interest and we get to see the WHOLE scene is more the question? Same. She did have chemistry with both actors.
  19. 7-8 A Jazmen script...the gift that keeps on giving. Mission accomplished. As much as I don't like it, I noticed then and I noticed now that with the baby twist in the Dani/Bill/Hayley storyline, that I cannot look at their scenes and not see Marlena/John/Kristen circa DAYS late 90s when Kristen was faking her pregnancy pre-Susan. I guess it works because Hayley annoying me in a 'love to hate' kinda of way like Kristen then when you know she's lying, but she's hamming it up to be a victim. So those scenes with Hayley/Bill trying to read Dani after they had come to an understanding was just ugh. I also felt it was a set-up for Dani to run into Andre and Ashley on their date...and I was not wrong. So that was well-done in terms of the episode. And of course, BRAVO!!! I was impressed both times that Kenny being at Martin's house was REAL!!! And not a fake-out. May this show continue to keep its fake-outs to a minimum. Because Kenny being IN THE HOUSE was creepy and upped the stakes even more. Yeeeah, I didn't like Ty being all upset as if Martin ain't the parent. And Martin was definitely acting like a parent. I also loved like I mentioned before that the show verified what someone here suggested that Joey count the money...AND HE DID. The little things. Meanwhile, Jacob and Smitty continue to compare notes and get closer to the truth. And we know I LOVE Nosy Nurse getting her foine butt out of the hospital. FINALLY!!!! And on a date with DEREK of all people? I don't hate it. And they had chemistry. And the tension it gave to the Andre/Ashley date was great. I liked learning more about Derek and definitely love learning more about Nosy Nurse. Ashley continued to give Carrie Bradshaw-lite about it. And I liked the little beat of Derek not liking she was there with Andre nor was he surprised. And lest I forget...good cliffhanger with Bill/Joey's conversation and Dani seeing Andre/Ashley.
