  1. Just glancing through, it does remind me that I really need to catch up. Sounds like the new writing team have been off to a good start.
  2. hehe. From what little I've seen...I agree about Larsa and her type.
  3. Should have never changed it.
  4. You late. 😜 But great to hear you will be tuning in.
  5. 5-14 AMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYY!!! Thank the Lord! lol. But at least I now have something of interest to watch. So good to see Audra and Amy reunited. hehe. I also liked the continued bonding between Damian and Nate. Side-note...those pants on SD and all of that cake is PERFECTION. Mmmm. I also enjoyed the continued dragging of Billy. First by the son. And then by the father. lol. Billy standing there and being so insufferable and wonder why people are giving him the business. He can stay at that bar and STFU. Double for Chelesa. And ugh at Giggly Heffa wasting Victor's (and the audience's) time with her inability to spit it out. At least she made up for it by calling Dumas directly. I was just talking about how I love near-miss in the BTG thread, but the difference here is that the Dumas part of the Damian storyline has gone on too long. So her near-miss was annoying.
  6. Well life is full of surprises. And it's not the first time over the last few years the 'murder mystery' target has moved off a GH character. So...we'll see.
  7. But their scenes are always fun...given whom HW name is on the top that day.
  8. Oh, yes! It's Nurse Ball Week, isn't it? Lord give me strength...or apparently a good catfight going by the above.
  9. 5-13 Hmmm. That was a little bit better. I admit that it did appear that Damian and Lily are dancing around each other. I don't mind it tooo much because I like them together. But there is only so many times they can have issues around trust. But at least he decided he might be willing to work with her against Dumas. I actually enjoyed Giggly Heffa/Billy/Sally. This time at least. I would have liked to see Phyllis continue to be introspective and form an obsessive bond to Sharon...which was where their storyline appeared to be going...because it felt like it was going to lead to something new. So sad that does not seem to be the case. That said...Phyllis scheming is something I can get behind and MS does give good scheme face. Bonus that it will move the Dumas storyline right along by her taking things into her own hands. Phyllis...and Victor? Well...hmmm. I have to giggle at these Summer mentions. I agree that Damian definitely has his own style. For the most part, I love it because it does help him stand out. Though he appears to be going through an all brown phase that has been kinda hit or miss. I preferred when he came on, and his style was mixed up a little bit. When I think of Holden's style...he definitely looks L. A. or a big city. And I also think metrosexual off his clothes and general vibe. Which at least I feel suits him and is still very much different from Damian. Thank you! Yes. It really has been very plain when it comes to the men's wardrobe over the years. So it is part of the reason the changes are standing out so much more with them. Now she needs to do the same with the women. I love leather is being tried...because Goth...but I feel it works perfectly with some characters' styles over others where I see it and think it's just there to be there or a lame attempt to be edgy.
  10. Well before the craziness starts, I just wanted to say that off of this week's promo...I love that show so far stays playing all the beats. And just when you think they forgot about something or someone mentions a loose end here...it circles back around. I love the attention to those plot details. So far.
  11. Hehe. Wrong thread. Overall, I would agree. However, it has been interesting while I'm waiting for something to happen to see her experimenting with finding characters' individual styles. I feel she's slowly getting it. But yes, it has been hit and miss. Like when she tries to give a particular style to one person and think it will work for someone else. Like she's lightened up Nick's style which was...different. Almost like she was listening to JM's own style, but keeping it within Nick's bandwagon. Then she tried a similar style on Billy and it just didn't work.
  12. 5-12 Lord have mercy. I'm not sure how I feel about it. Perhaps what I said last week or the week before last. If the highlight of a soap is what people are wearing and not the writing, that's not a good thing. And that was how I was feeling watching this. There was not anyone that I was interested in seeing in the episode outside of Daniel and Sally tbh. Because Daniel continues to be the only thing that humanizes Phyllis for me. I could care less for the Billy/Sally scenes where he's woe is me. I could care less about Kyle/Claire since the writers took all the drama right out of the pairing. Humanized or not, I could care less for Giggly Heffa. I barely care for Teriah. But for me, it's nice to see something going on with them. Though it seems so horribly contrived. I liked the costume designer appears to be trying to find individual styles for some of the characters. For me, Tessa's with the boots stood out given her indie musician history. It seems like Claire's style is coming into its own with block colors. I like Kyle's wardrobe is loosening up somewhat. I even loved the striped dress that Phyllis had on. But again...where is the writing?
  13. And then deleted it.
  14. True. So it must be the heat. LOL. Oh, you.
  15. 5-13 That was kinda meh except for the coda. Liam figuring out that Hope knows he's dying. And ending it on that. Good acting. Oh, Luna. smh. But I guess I do look forward to see how she expects to wiggle her way into Finn's life. And uh oh at Sheila and seeing the wheels start to turn again. Honestly, he's been looking like a whole snack the last few weeks. And I can't decide if it's just the heat here lol or if he's just been working out more than usual. But blue and shades of it has been such a great color on him.
  16. Same. And looking sooooo good.
  17. 5-12 Well, as much as i've been enjoying the highs of BTG, I guess I should try to play catch up on my other soaps...lol. I actually liked this episode. But I guess it could be because I felt there was a lot going on. Bill and Liam's talk. Luna attempting them inroads with Finn. Steffy comforting Hope over Liam. Sheila thanking Bill for helping Luna. Even a decent cliffhanger with Steffy walking in on Luna and Finn. I know I said it before, but I don't care for the Liam storyline, but the acting has been good.
  18. Oh, really? That explains why the reveal episodes...the majority of which Zimmerman did the breakdowns for...hit perfectly. Cool! I really loved that. Background music and all.
  19. Ooooo the new promo for the coming week!!!! SilkPress is at it again!!!
  20. If I remember correctly, they were interrupted before Nicole could reveal what the third thing was. I remember feeling like it was an intentional interruption, too.
  21. 5-15 And now...back to the A plot. I can't say enough about how great this week has been that I've been enjoying the fallout from the SilkPress/Eva reveal. I can't believe that it's been almost a week, and it is STILL going on. And they are playing every beat. And rightfully so. It's a strength to the story that this episode is full of mostly those beats with one (okay 2) C plots. I loved how this episode seem centered on dealing with the Bill of it all from his reactions to the reactions of the ones who actually care about him. And meanwhile, Kat getting a clue and connecting it back to the plot thread of Laura's accident. Game recognizes game. My way of saying I loved Bill vs Silk Press Sheila. They have great adversarial chemistry. And I loved that Bill not only gave the heads-up to NuTed, but already figured out that Ted had paid her off. A dumbed-down villain Bill definitely is not. And awww at Naomi walking in on him and NuTed. lol. Like father, like daughter cuz they both stay reading people. Also loved the scene of Naomi and Chels together discussing their feelings about their father in light of the reveal. It's so sad to see Kat thinking in the right direction and STILL took a wrong turn. That said...great to see the Laura plot thread picked up and Kat moving to get to the bottom of it. It's just sad that her strong disdain toward Eva is blinding her to the real threat. Makes her easy prey for SilkPress to manipulate and harder for Eva to get acceptance if people still think she's up to no good. Also intensifies their rivalry. Kat vs Silk Press Sheila was reaaallly good, too. The direction. The camera angles. The lines. Even got background music. And...HAHAHA I love how SilkPress Sheila reacts to the word 'crazy' the same way Sheila herself reacts to the word 'bitca' right before one of her catfights on B&B. Honorable mention to another SilkPress vs Eva scene where Eva avoids the gaslight and that Andre/Eva scene where he continues to be there for her. And speaking of the reveal...now that I've seen the full episode...I've warmed to NuTed a bit. I thought in the brief scene I saw on my busy Thursday that he did what I love when a role gets recast. The actor uses some of the mannerisms of their predecessers, but not do a complete parroting of them. And that I felt he pulled off well. It allows for the actor to slowly enter their own vibe to a role and make it their own. And so far...I felt Keith was still...Ted. Love the scenes with NuTed/Kat. But time will tell if I feel he will make it his own. The only good thing I can say about that Andre/Ashley scene...they both have gotten comfortable in their roles, and it was nice to see. I'm Team Dani/Andre over here. That said...I actually am loving the C plot of Ashley, Derek, and the apartment because they are finally getting drama. And I'm actually Team Derek though I completely understand where Ashley is coming from. Thankful that we got that phone call with her mother for her POV and background life. She really is not used to living with someone and what that is like. And it's relatable. But she's handling it all the wrong way. As for their overall place on the canvas though, I can't help, but think about what I said in the first week...they are just meta to me...getting the development...or lack thereof...that black characters get on other soaps...just in reverse. Awww at June saying that she just finds the picture lovely. I don't completely believe her hehe, but it was nice. The anvils about Eva's birthday...smh. lol.
