  1. I'm afraid the writers are going to make Eva/Tomas into a star-crossed couple just from everything up to date. I've been loving it, too.
  2. 9-25 Well, I'll say this much. I've missed a few episodes, so I was kinda glad for today with its multiple flashbacks because I missed some of the stuff with Luna. I just wished they did a flashback of Li's chokeout of Luna. So...let me get it straight...it took Will a week to tell Electra. lol. Because I could have sworn on the 9-22 he was still trying to tell her. In any case, I definitely don't feel the same about Luna anymore. Sad for the actress because she's good, but smh. I do like seeing so much more of Bill and Katie though. And I liked that Katie expressed how I felt about the Will/Luna stuff. Rape. But the real dish...pun unintended...is Little D? I would rather that it had been Nick and Brooke's son, but I thought he got a good intro. First, we met him through Remy. Then, the reveal with Deacon. And they have a nice rapport, and it reminded me of a little bit of John (R.I.P Drake) and Paul on DAYS so I am already interested in their relationship with each other. And then the story potential of Little D...who if I remember correctly has a lot. Are we going to see Rick show up? AMBER?? Thank you for the reminder that Hope is his sister. And a gay legacy character. Not to mention the fact he's with Remy given Remy's history...a story beat waiting to be play. And look at him already starting Deacon vs Sheila. I definitely like seeing more of Deacon. And SK still got it acting-wise when he confronted Sheila and actually got angry at her. Good. She did know. He has every right to be angry. I like CM's new haircut. And the actress playing Electra...I was actually feeling her acting. Actually, I thought they both did good with the Luna reveal/flashbacks.
  3. As they should do rightly...I never want them to be completely in sync. Well perhaps when one of the actresses leave, the characters can have a truce. They are both too good to not keep the rivalry going.
  4. Taoboi replied to YRBB's topic in Off Topic Lounge
F@#! YES. I mean lol YES.
  5. He should had been Nick and Brooke's son, but I don't mind this either.
  6. Hahaha. Same. Same. Hopefully, this sets up Kat for her next relationship. And of course, keeps Eva vs Kat going.
  7. Now that I'm done...I feel it's a great start off to the week. I was wondering how much of the Doug/Vanessa/Joey storyline was going to carry over to this week. So far, so good. It was ever present thanks to Joey's presence (catch that one-liner about Smitty...foreshadowing?), Vanessa being around and coping, and Randy's presence to play out that particular beat given his presence in the Hayley baby lie...so he has to be around a bit longer and with Doug gone...well... Works for me cuz Randy and those pants...lol. I also liked while it was moving parts mostly attached to that storyline, the writers did the right thing but picking up another B plot that has legs to carry the rest of the show. Last week, it was Dani/Andre. Today (and hopefully for most of this week, too) it's the rivalry between Eva and Kat. Right now, the only debatably good thing that seems to have come out of the initial SilkPress A story, it was good to see movement in it. We all know Tomas (don't hate me, but like I said earlier, the actor can't act himself out of a paper bag, but he looks hot in normal clothes. and I like hair. js) ain't s@#$ so finally he slept with Eva. I couldn't believe they had Eva being all Miss Misunderstood acting when she was set on acting like Little Miss Vixen just last week. That irked me. But it was deliciously soapy that right when Kat was about to give that olive branch that NOW Tomas and Eva slept together....and haha at it happening on a RC breakdown episode so book mention. And they got the cliffhanger at the end, too??? lol. Can't wait to see what Kat does tomorrow. No lie. Le sigh. Silk Press Sheila was back to being wacky again. But I can't blame her. Ted slept with her back then. He slept with her recently. And I am sure he will again. And she's right. He could have lied to Nicole. Moreso since he should have known SilkPress would run to Nicole with the quickness as soon as it happened (like the rest of us knew). But the writing and acting has always been very much Crazy Woman and the Straight Man since the recast so I'm expecting Ted/SilkPress to be a couple in time. At least until the truth about Laura comes out at a community event and SilkPress gets her long overdue comeuppance. I love that it's been a few weeks since the end of the kidnapping and Chels is still dealing with the aftermath to her. It's the little things and I appreciate how she has not bounce back instantly. And I enjoyed the surprise appearance of Crazy Allison. I thought she might call in when she saw Chels was online (and I love seeing the girls dealing with their business) so Crazy Allison did not disappoint. The gift that keeps giving. So two cliffhangers...Kat walking in after Tomas/Eva had sex. And Vanessa walking in on the tail end of that Joey conversation. Which I do like that Vanessa still has doubts about Joey. And the episode was pretty easy breezy.
  8. I finally got to sit down and rewatch the start of the Monica's death storyline. First time around, all I wanted was to see the scenes just breathe and there was too much unneeded stuff going on that was making me see red. I liked the set-up to it. I love that Monica got to see Scout and Wiley on the first day of school before she passed. I liked going into it there was a Michael vs Willow scene that echoed old school Alan vs Monica. And the discovery...the body...the immediate aftermath. I've loved every moment with Tracy and Jason. It was focused on who I wanted to be focused on which I liked. The small moments they had separately and together really got to me. Jason's single tear. That moment where Tracy touched his shoulder when the sheriff showed up. The Tracy/BLQ/Ned scenes...cuz FINALLY Ned...and WK looked so rocked in those scenes. And the Jason/Danny at the cottage scene was a good Friday coda. Well...should have been. That brings me to what made me see red. It was not any less annoying on a rewatch. Just this time...I FF. And it should say something that there were really only two things that I would have kept. Gio/Emma first kiss after getting Outback back. The Drew vs Danny scenes which in hindsight beautifully sets up Liz hitting Drew where it hurts with the Monica news. And I barely say this...the Laura meeting scenes since it was a plot point that seem important. I would have liked more flashbacks because the other things that played out (shenanigans for Britt with Liz/Lucas/Carly, juvie hijacks with Cody, that misplaced Sonny moment) just felt extremely unnecessary and of that really annoying trope of this writing team of using the wacka wacka. Just given the serious matter...NO. At least with Cody and the Outback stuff...I do get what they were trying to attempt there. It echoed the recent week of BTG where the Dani/Andre antics offset the more serious stuff about to go down on the canvas aka a murder. Honestly, BTG pulled it off better and I didn't feel like I was taken out of the scene...unlike what happened with the start of Monica's storyline. Speaking of out of scene...I know I said it, but let me repeat myself...the start of the Nathan storyline while the Monica storyline is going on and WITHOUT Maxie...is something that could have waited. And mostly definitely did not need to be the Friday coda. It felt IMHO poor taste. Not in poor taste? That as the week in question ended people started to gradually find out about Monica. And it sounds like from what little I read here on the week, this past week is going to be much better overall, complete with more flashbacks. I didn't want to be tooo spoiled so I didn't read everything, but I love a lot of what you all said that I did see. So I'm looking forward to digging in more, having some good sobs, and of course, I already know (okay and have seen cuz I love and have always love me sum ES) this past Friday's coda. And that works completely for me AND is Monica coded as it should be.
  9. Oh, lord...did Willow get read again? lol. Good to hear about Erika. AMEN.
  10. I'll say this much...as I'm watching today's episode. I hollered when Crazy Allison got on the line. I was expecting it, but that didn't take away from it at all. I continue to like the follow-up from the Kidnapping. It says something that I only seem to find Tomas hot when he's in normal clothes. And I'm a biiiig suit and tie (especially suspenders) guy when it comes to my guys. So that's telling. But over his acting or lack thereof. Hey, Randy, hey! lol. But given what I already know...they did have to play this beat in his story.
  11. I definitely am enjoying them more in this storyline than their 'move in together' storyline. Why sue? You have taste. 😜
  12. Same. SilkPress can be over the top and have nuance. They need to keep her like this.
  13. I feel like I should step in between my rewatching this week and rewatching the Monica scenes from last week's GH to say...I'm not ALWAYS positive. lol. I didn't like last week and didn't even bother to rewatch it, I disliked it so much. And since we hit the 6 months mark, I know that I've been even more picky even though BTG still has soooome grace from me. I also noticed I'm getting a little more impatient on some things (off the top of my head...Nicole's story, Hayley's baby lie). So when I see something I liked...and I'm actually home to watch it live (with no pre-emptions) which I was shocked to see I would be home this week...well...I like what I like. But like I said the other day...I'm one of the few people who liked the Doug/Vanessa/Joey storyline from the beginning (hey, Diego, hey lol). How it was separate storylines at first. They were slowly, but organically developed with good POV moments. And then the various storylines converged. It really was the most developed of the B plots. If this is Guza on his way out the door, I liked he got to prove what I said...it's strong enough as a storyline to be the main attraction this week. And it was a great turn. Doug died. I'm looking forward to Vanessa finding out the truth. I'm REALLY looking forward to the twins arriving. But I understand D/V/J is not one of the favorite storylines here so I expected this week to be a rough watch. I thought the show did a good job with the other stories circling D/V/J this week though unlike last week so I hoped there was still enjoyment had. It's also giving me a chance to pick up on the dialogue. I know it has been a discussion here, but I'm not catching what everyone has been saying. Thank you @Maxim for explaining it better because I was confused.
  14. Very much so. There was so much meat to SK's AJ return. From his romantic options to the real conflict of Michael wanting to get to know his biological dad to Q shenanigans, AJ's return had turned out sooooo good. And lest I forget...Monica slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth was such a moment back then. Cuz NO ONE had slapped Carly in a good minute.
  15. He had so much swagger. I was looking forward to him mixing it up with Carly and Liz. So mean-spirited. And not the first time that Ron has done it on his shows. If it's not jokes, it's having the person in question running around with nothing on as another form of body shaming. If I remember correctly...in most cases...it was because SK made a comment about his writing.
  16. So we are cutting Laura scenes now? Let me side-eye.
  17. I would love to see more unexplored things from that time Lois has been gone. Perhaps they will at some point. Though given how I felt about this past week (outside of the Monica stuff), I am doubtful that I would trust the writers. Shocking for me to say given how much I've been enjoying the show since I've been back regularly viewing. And you talking about a new love breeds its own story idea. What if Lois did have new love and her new love came to PC? It would take care of our discussions about getting Lois a love life on canvas.
  18. We need our Have-Nots at least once a month for gossip, recap, and tea. And maybe a Third? Yeah, I'm still thinking of the look. But I guess we will see re: Jan and Joey. I can't wait to rewatch to be sure I wasn't imagining. It really would explain Ashley. And even when she has driven me crazy with her antics, I do remember in the back of my mind, how Jan has mentioned often how sheltered Ashley is. And now that you wrote that, that (Andre vs Derek) does add a new layer to the potential of Joey and Jan knowing each other. No wonder Jan has been so anti-Andre.
  19. I agree. She was a moment in time. Still...I always hoped she would come back. And I was excited when Rena finally did. I did wonder, given that she was a moment in time, if she would fit in. So I was happy to see how seamless it was...sidenote...love the dream intro during the Eddie Maine story with the leather, the nails, that hair and the slow side-turn with music before Eddie woke up. I ate that up. She was an older and somewhat wiser Lois, but she had not lost her essence. Until that stupid story about her accent that is. And let's not even touch on her part in the Gio story.
