  1. Preach it Carl. I'm not some idiot frat girl in a horror movie sequel. I won't believe this nightmare is over until I see this administration buried in front of my eyes. We've been in crazy town for two years, but today is the kind of day where it just seems like it can't be real. I imagine Mattis was one of the people charged with tackling 45 if he goes for the nukes.
  2. Lordy.
  3. The only ones I feel sorry for are retired people who are living off their 401ks. Everyone else with a 401k will be fine if they don't panic, although I saw many do so during the financial crisis. Sadly one lady I knew was close to retirement and was still working to support her grandson. I hope she landed ok. I know this is petty, but I enjoy seeing the tech CEO's lose a few billion, even though I suspect it's short term. I hope it hurts while it lasts. KESSLER: Because they want to take over America. Why can't they just come here and live like us? I want you to be an American, do what we do. We were here first. OK? You're second. This comment is gross, but also sadly ignorant. Immigrants still largely integrate by the time they are second and third generation. They may not become Christians, but they will speak English 🙄 and be culturally American, for better or worse. Pew research shows this every year, if people would just get their heads out of their asses. Also, someone needs to tell that bitch that we don't have degrees of citizenship. She is not first.
  4. And worse she's trying to ruin the chance of other Democratic incumbents because they are not liberal enough for her. What?? I want to like her because I agree with many of her positions, but I can't get onboard with anyone who doesn't see defeating Republicans has to be the immediate goal. You don't do that with infighting. Look where that got us in 2016 for pity's sake. I know a lot of people think Democrats can't lose in 2020, but we can if we continue to be divided by the far left. I agree with many of their opinions, but not their insane, self defeating tactics.
  5. That's terrible. I hope she is getting help to cope.
  6. 🙄 Our leader.
  7. I do wish the consequences to the individuals were harsher. I think jail time depends on the case. We can can't even get people put away for rape in the vast majority of cases, so jailing them for harassment seems impossible. I'm not even sure it's the right answer in a case like this specific one, versus one where someone was assaulted. We need systematic change. We need to stop indulging these guys just because they are unusually talented (looking at the NFL), popular (looking at Hollywood), rich or connected. Until that stops I can't see things changing much.
  8. ^ Damn. People losing their jobs thanks to these terrible people. I do suspect "Bull" will be canceled. CBS on the other hand will easily survive. If we are lucky some better people will be brought in to run it, but I'm not counting on that.
  9. Right or a society that fosters it. That's real issue, I think. The work place is a microcosm where the sexism and rape culture our society fosters comes into play. It's so pervasive, I just don't know what it will take to change it or if it can be changed.
  10. At the very least MW needs to be out of a job. I'm so glad ED came forward with this response. She really shredded his pathetic excuses. Let's hope she lands someplace much better. I'm rooting for Netflix.
  11. You're not wrong. Still, doesn't it seem like this contract goes against the company's fiduciary duty to investors? I'll be interested to see if anything more comes of this.
  12. So true. I wouldn't be ok with this if Democrats were doing it either.
  13. Some good news.
  14. ^WTF? That is insane.
  15. This is the kind of thing we don't need. Find a Republican to go after ffs.
  16. I'm interested to see how the next few months play out. I guess KH is my choice at this point. Can we elect a woman right now or will the Bernie Bro types rebel again if we try? I have no idea. The truth is I'm not super excited about anyone yet.
  17. 😂
  18. ^Yeah, I can't see Bernie as a contender. While there was a time I would have eaten Cory Booker's message up with a spoon, that naive girl is long dead. 🤣 I'm just not here for all this talk of love.
  19. Yes. It's not like he needed the money, but I'm glad he's not getting it. How disgusting that this guy was going to be given 1/10th of a billion dollars.
  20. I know. He really is a tool.
  21. I didn't know it wasn't a hit. I've never seen it. I seem to remember you saying you thought MW came off as a frat boy once though. Sometimes I really think you have second sight.
  22. Ugh, so of course women he has worked with in the past come out to support him. 🙄 https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/celebrity/pauley-perrette-sasha-alexander-defend-michael-weatherly-after-sexual-harassment-claim-surfaces/ar-BBR03go?li=BBnb7Kz
  23. It certainly should be. The fact that MW sent that text wanting to talk about ED's sense of humor to a higher up is the killer for me. How dare he? Well, we all know the answer to that, but he does not deserve to have a show after trying to make her the problem. I won't be that surprised if he gets away with it though. He would have if this settlement had stayed under wraps.
  24. Yes. It makes me sick when officials have the nerve to blame the family. F*ck everyone of them.
